How to move all the managed computers to a new desktopcentral server
Hello, we recently decided to set up a clean desktopcentral server since the old one was running on a server 2008 essensials. We decided to not go for a "clone" but a clean setup - but the next problem is to find out what the best way to deploy the new agents will be, or could we use the allready installed agents and deploy a script on the old desktopcentral server, or do we have to manualy install all the agents?
Software Templates missing
The Software Templates options in the Software Deployment Tab is missing. Only the "Packages" option is available. Can someone please assist?
Secondary IP address for Remote (Traveling) Users
I've read in a few forum posts and in some documentation that its possible to assign a second IP address to Desktop Central for the agents to connect to but I can't find where this is possible except under the Server migration settings. We need to have one IP address setup for internal LAN clients and a second public IP address programmed for our "Road Warrior's" who very seldom connect directly to the LAN. Is the Sever Migration Settings page the proper place to put this information and if not
Technician Auto-sign in / Time Out

Patching deployment
Hi, We are trying to patch our machines on the network through Patch Management and have setup a deploy patches after hours with automatic reboots. Our issue is what happens to laptops that are taken home overnight and reconnected to the network in the mornings. Will they start to deploy the patches on the laptop and reboot or will they just not get the patches. TIA Damien

Professional to Enterprise Upgrade for Distributed Server
We've upgraded our license from Professional to Enterprise in order to use more of a distributed server set up. Hi, I have been experiences issues lately with SoM and installing software, either by pushing out configurations or using the Self Service Portal. If I go to SoM > Computers I get the following: No Credential Specified The password of the following domains are not specified. Update the password. Hello, Is there a way to generate a report which shows upcoming Auto Patch Deployments? I'm not great with the report builder and was hoping someone had a way to generate a report that showed which scheduled auto patch deployments were going to be deployed, for example, 3 or 5 days ahead of when they're executed. Removing Local Admin Rights
I'm in an environment where a legacy program that required local admin rights has gone away and I'm looking for the best way to remove local admin rights my users have to their pc's. We have close to 300 machine and in lieu of going machine to machine I was hoping there was a better way. I asked this question int he ADManager forum and was directed to Desktop Central. Hi everyone, I'm actually testing Desktop Central with a Remote Branch and I got a question : When you deploy an application to a remote branch, the package is (I guess?) downloaded only one time by the distribution server before being deployed onto specified computers. Automatic approval of specific patches
Hi, I've created an automatic deployment configuration for Flash, JAVA and browsers, so that the clients are scanned on a daily base and updated immediately with new critical updates.However, as far as I know, the automatic deployment doesn't do anything for as long as these patches are not manually approved. Am I wrong or is there a way to circumvent this? I don't not want to auto approve ALL the patches automatically.
Help determining unprotected machines
In dealing with RMM software, I notice they all have A/V lights on the virtual dashboard. I need the same from Desktop Central and I presume I have to write a query report that tells me which machines have no software of a category I named "anti-x". Is there an existing way to do this? If not, what would the query look like?

Hi, after installing the Windows 7 convenience update KB3125574, DesktopCentral shows 43 missing updates for our Workstations. Should i manually delete them, or will there be a chance that DC mark them as superseded in the future?
Feature Request - custom tagging
We frequently need to locate a machine in DC knowing only who the primary user is. It would be nice to be able to tag machines with multiple, searchable tags - such as #John #Accounting #Basement.

How do I deploy a Scheduled Task as the local user account and not the admin account DC uses?
I want to deploy a Scheduled Task to certain users and run the task as the user currently signed on to the computer. I can deploy a Scheduled Task in DC but it runs as the DC admin account and not the local users.

Action Log Viewer shows installed yet pc not in inventory
Upgraded to latest version. Have windows 10 computers on the network that aren't showing up in desktop central. Modified the gpo script as specified in https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/agent_installation_windows_gpo.html. Action Log viewer in Desktop Central says installed. I know for a fact the pc is on but it's not showing in inventory. What gives?
Incorrect number of monitors displayed for windows 10 computers
For Win10 computers, the second monitor is missing. For Win7 everything is correct. Has anyone noticed this and is their a solution? My asset reports are now screwed.

Best way to uninstall KB3035583 (GWX) with ME DC
I've already successfully deployed the Reg tweak (and dozens of other DC configurations and deployments, not a total noob) to disable the Get Windows 10 (GWX) updates, per the Microsoft KB. However, I also need to remove the entire KB3035583 since it is nagging our users still (even though it's disabled and won't allow the upgrade). Tools/Remote Control shows "No Domains Available" and shows no computers
Hello, When I go to "Tools/Remote Control" within DC it populates no Domains or computers. No search criteria (adding a specific IP address or computer name) to search for yields anything. This also happens when I go to "Inventory"... No data is present at all. The agent says it is installed correctly. Clicking Scan Systems/Patch Scan shows all systems and all available domains. We previously pushed 100s of MB of software in 20 minutes or so on our ISP grade internet and Gb inside networks. On hotfix build 92038, software copies at around 1KB per second which is atrocious and renders the most important feature to us unusable. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not hard to monitor in the C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_Agent\swrepository\1\swuploads folder. Hello, I began to activate "Alert" Configurations for several user groups, i.e.: Warn User 5 days before password expires. / Purge TEMP files.
