Report to show all timed tasks on all accounts
Hi! How could I make a report/dashboard that would show all automated patch tasks on all accounts in one simple view. Now when we have a lot of customers with automated patch deployment activated it's hard to check progress and scheduled times for each customer. It would be nice if there was single report to show all customers tasks at once.
Computer Icons in Desktop Central.
Good Morning, I am having an issue with the agent on two PC's, I believe I may have found the issue, but in order to proceed I will need to know what this icon means.... All of the other PC's have this icon but with a green monitor apposed to yellow. If some one could inform me to what this means it would be very much appreciated. Nick
After updating to Service Pack 1 (9102) times in the UI are shown in GMT
Hello I've updated my server to the new Service Pack 1, and subsequently, find that in the UI, the time is now listed in GMT rather than local time. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks Sam

Error HDD server (win server 2012)
Hi I have a problem with a server ML310, which has 1 single disc that disconnected SAS hot and generated an error and the server is reset. Causing be reset says not find the hard drive, which I can do ?. thanks

MDM why can't I search "groups & devices" by S/N & IMEI?
It seems strange that under Inventory>Devices I can lookup devices by serial number and IMEI but I cannot do any changes in regards to the profile or group that the device is in. I can scan it, reset passwords etc but not change groups. When I try to find the same device under Manage>Groups & Devices to assign or change a grouping/profile then I do not have the option to search for device by S/N or IMEI (unique identifiers) Why is this? Currently if multiple devices were setup on the same email
Service Pack 1 - Upgrade to 90145
Hello! I did the upgrade to 90145 this evening (and said it was successful) but when I go into the web portal, it is telling me that I need to upgrade. When I go to the main screen, it shows that I am still at version 91002. Any ideas? Regards, Charles
Scheduled Reports - Emailed URL Error, and Scheduled Report Request
When I emailed a report, which was stored on server, with URL sent in email, the link in the email is pointing to the wrong port. Desktop Central is installed to port 8383 the link is specifying 8020, which results in a "This page can't be displayed. Custom Report Request: I've been asked to produce a scheduled patch report "for servers" , to replace the report we currently email to the server support group, from WSUS. Also I'd like to email just "desktops" patch status, to the desktop support
Why grey icon on PC?

VNC Viewer
Is there a simple guide when installing VNC? Does the VNC work with a third party solution like Real VNC or Ultra VNC? I have been working with Real VNC recently and have this setup for connecting outwith the LAN. Is this something which is also possible with Service desk or would I be best looking elsewhere for a remote solution when dealing with remote clients? I have been looking at Teamviewer and LogmeIn but thought if Manage Engine provided an all in one solution then there would be no point
Show AD computer description on the Scope of Management Screen
Is there a way or can you add the ability to see the active directory computer description on the Scope Of Management screen? This would be very helpful when we are looking at computers that fail to install the agent or new agents as they are released. Manually entering Notes or Owner on 1,300 computer is just not acceptable when we already have that information in the AD description. Andy

Pushing shortcuts with spaces
In past versions of DC I was able to push shortcuts with spaces in the file name as long as I used " ". Now DC seems to ignore " ". A Chrome shortcut with the path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --app=https://website I want to point to In the past this has worked an now a shortcut is created with a target of c:\program files and nothing else. Copy Files over Internet
We are deploying Desktop Central to manage computers over the public internet as well as our internal network, but I'm running into an issue. Does anyone know how or can suggest a secure, good way to copy files from the server to the workstations? The configuration works perfectly within our internal network using a UNC share, but that's not an option over the public internet. Thanks!
Deploy Patch with computer offline
Hi -- What the best way to manage this process. We need to rollout a patch to 50 machines. 5 of those machines are laptops which are offline. They all have the agent installed. Will those 5 machines get the patch once they reconnect to the network? I don't want to keep tabs on what each machine has installed or not I just want to rollout a patch and have every machine get at some point if they are online or offline How does DTC handle this and what settings need to be set Thanks

Java 7 update 67 deploy to many Win7 machines Custom Reg & JCP settings needed
Need to deploy Java 7u67 to many Win7 machines, it's old Java yes, but, it is the only one that functions correctly with the many multiple external java based applications our clients access. I know Desktop Central can deploy Java 7u67 with no problem, however I need to make multiple settings changes within Java Control Panel and the Registry as well. Are there any scripts available to assist in this deployment? Many thanks in advance, D.
Port Number 8020 is already in use - But it isn't!
Hi, Has anybody had the problem when attempting to install Desktop Central 9 when the error message: "Port Number 8020 is already used by some other application. Please specify a different port" I've checked the server and the LAN using netstat and I can't find any other application that is using that port?? I tried selecting a different port but the server never comes online as it errors with one problem after another.. Any advice would be welcomed. Andy
Both agents required with integration?
We are preparing to integrate these products, but cannot determine if we need to run both agents or if just one is required. I have reviewed integration documents, but they lack clarity. Several of the links I have found lead me back to links I had already seen.

New iTunes patch 12.1.2 isn't detected as missing from Win 8.1 machine with iTunes 11.4 installed
We're running build 90145, and there's a new iTunes patch detection, as of last night, for iTunes v12.1.2. One of our Win 8.1 (x64) Dell tablets has iTunes 11.4 installed. Its patch summary had been showing that it needs the latest iTunes patch 12.x installed. Now this morning, it's no longer showing that it needs the iTunes patch v12.1.2. Have you intentionally changed the logic of Patch Mgmt to only show iTunes v11.x patches for installed versions < v12.0? Or is the new patch 12.1.2 just not
Upgrading already installed Software.
We recently got Adobe Acrobat DC Pro (v12) on our enterprise contract with Adobe. I have about 1400-2000 installed copies of Adobe Acrobat XI installed and I only want to push the new updated package to PC's that only have Adobe Acrobat XI. I have fumbled around Desktop Central for about 5-6 hours today and I haven't found a good solution for deploying this software. I do not want to manually have to enter the computer names of the PC's that have Adobe Acrobat XI, so any thoughts? Also we have Asset
Better column width control
There should be either manual control of the columns or more intelligent control by the software. For example in software inventory the software title is cut short while there is still space left on the screen, smaller fields take up the same space, making it hard to tell similar software apart quickly.

Hello There appears to be some additional patches missing from the list of those supported by desktop central, compared to Windows Update Primarily this - KB2956171 : March 10, 2015 update for Office 2013 I don't understand why it wouldn't be in the list. Editing NAT Device FQDN
Hi, When I configured the NAT Device setting initially in the MDM I did not use a FQDN and instead used an IP address. I now have several enrolled devices and would like to change this to use a FQDN. When I attempt to make the change it gives me the following warning: Editing NAT settings will affect the communication with the currently managed devices. Patch Management Desktop Icons
Hi, Is there a way to update patches on machines and not create desktop icons. When i run patch manager on machines, users get desktop icons of the applications just installed. Then they can not delete them without admin rights. Is there a way to not have the icons appear on users desktop? Thanks
All clients are reporting down state
I am currently having an issue where all of my clients are in an "agent live status: down" state. Has anyone run into this issue? I have restarted the service and bounced the machine. I'm able to ping all machines from the server and vice versa. Build No:90087
Configuring Windows Update settings
How we should configure Windows Update settings when we use Desktop Central MSP for deploying patches to all Windows clients and servers? Should we disable WU completely via GPO or what is the best practice? I cant find any documentation that answers to my question.
Can the Desktop Central moderator clean up the postings from bbanana?
I see a whole bunch of garbage postings from bbanana that are cluttering the Desktop Central forum. Can the moderator remove the duplicate postings and ask bbanana to quit spamming the forum? Thanks.

Date Format / Timezone
With Desktop Central, is there a way to report on the time zones and date formats (eg m/d/yy vs d/m/yy) for all of the computer in the inventory? I suspect we have some inconsistencies and need a way to track them down.

Hi I'm creating APD's for different third party vendor's - such as Adobe \ Java etc Which will create quite a few tasks Is it better to create one task and add all the 3rd party patches to that or create separate ones as I'm doing. How does scanning cope with lots of APD's potentially running at the same time? Andy
Patch detection for Mozilla Firefox 37.0.1?
I'm not seeing any patch detection for Mozilla Firefox v37.0.1, which became available starting April 3rd (three days ago). Is there a reason for the delay?
