Automatic software package installation
Hi, I was wondering if it's possible with DesktopCentral to install software automatically. We configured in DesktopCentral that the DC agent is automatically installed when a new PC connects to the domain (SoM Policy). Is there a way to install software the exact same way? Like DC agents gets installed when the computer is added to the domain and the a package of standard software is automatically deployed to the new pc? Best regards, Daniel

Do Mozilla Firefox updates really require a reboot of Windows? Is there a reason, because it seems excessive to me, already get reboots required for Window updates.

Very Slow deployment to Branch DS servers
When I was attempting to deploy a Application to my Branch PC's the replication was very slow and most of the time replication was not working at all. is there a fix for this besides setting bandwidth utilization to unlimited? right now I have bandwidth set to 4mbps.

Ubuntu 18.04 Clients not Showing any Missing Patches
Hello- We've used MEDC for a while now for all of our Windows systems, so I figured I'd give it a try on the handful of Ubuntu 18.04 systems we run. The agent install went perfectly fine and the system shows up in the console, however after a scan, it shows that no patches are missing and it has 114+ installed. If I run an "apt update" on the client itself, it says that 182 packages can be upgraded. Is there something I am missing?
Desktop Central - Missing Patches - Office 2016 Deployment Tool
Hi all, I've got a support ticket with ManageEngine for issues with patches showing as missing on clients and failed downloads for Desktop Central (10.0.386). Most notably is the ever increasing number of "Office 2016 Deployment Tool" failed downloads increasing in number, 26511, 26527, 26557, 26740 and 26759 with a "Failed" Download Status and "Unable to execute command" remarks. Devices enrolled but not allowed in Conditional Exchange Access
We have Desktop Central on premise with Mobile device management. We have devices enrolled (both Android and IOS) that when we enable Conditional Exchange access for the users, the devices is put in the "In grace period" or "Restricted" group. What criteria does it use to determine if the device is allowed other than being enrolled in MDM? Or is there something that could be keeping the MDM device from linking up with what is in Exchange?

When creating a domain, can I use a regular user instead of a domain admin account, will this create an issue with installation of agents?

Can I force an update of all agents from the server instead of waiting for the refresh interval of 90 minutes.
Firefox and 10.0.394: inventory - upper left bar/links don't work
After upgrading from 340 to 394 clicking e.g. "computers" in the inventory tab doesn't work. Internet explorer works as expected. Additional question: With IE it's easy to change the column width, e.g. in the inventory/computers view. This is not offered with Firefox. Is there a way to adapt the column width in firefox?

Submitted this issue early Jan 2019 ticket #540814 Was told that this would be added to the roadmap and I will be updated. We are nearly half-way through the year and I have not received an update. Hi, We run allot of freeware in our company, a wide range of drawing and 3D model viewers and such. I was wondering of we can automate this system. I have the desktop central configuration for each software. is there a way i can have a user create a ticket, wich automaticly triggers the deployment of the configuration? 2kb file staying in downloadrepository on all Distribution servers
Ever since updating to 10.0.395 when i look at the downloadreposiotry on any managed DS i see a 2kb file when I delete the file it shows backup after replication. Is this inteneded behavior?
Google Chrome & 10.0.396: inventory links don't work
After upgrading to Desktop Central Server version 10.0.396, clicking 'computers', 'Hardware', and 'Software' in the inventory tab no longer work when using Google Chrome (Version 75.0.3770.90 (Official Build) (64-bit)). Firefox and Internet explorer 11 work as expected.
Adding domain account to Desktop Central fails
Hi, everytime I try to add user accounts with active directory authentication it fails. I was trying to add all the administrator accounts for them to be able to work with DesktopCentral. Is there a way to add the whole group? Thanks in advance for your support.
Distribution Server Stopped After last upgrade
After last Desktop Central Upgrade (10.0.394) my distribution servers are in stopped status. Services are running in every distribution server. We restart the service and the distribution started again but stopped again after few minutes or seconds. The event viewer shows a dcreplication.exe fail.
Issues after 10.0.395 Distribution Server Stops and Unable to Search in Reports
Ticket # 5388220 After upgrading to 10.0.395 I am seeing a couple issues. All of my Distribution Servers have stopped working. The executable in the bin file is missing and the service will not start. You cannot use the search function to filter in the reporting section. Need this fixed ASAP as I am unable to push software or patches to any of my remote offices!
How could I filter Microsoft Store Apps out of a scheduled software inventory report?
I would like to create a weekly report showing our software inventory of any software that does not have an access type assigned and is not a Microsoft Store app. As far as I can tell Software Type is not a field for software reports and there is no way for me to add Microsoft Store apps to a category that I would be able to filter out of the report. Any ideas?
Desktop Central build version
Hi, I have DC version installed 10.0.394. When I click on build version it says me that Desktop Central is up-to-date. But when I go to this link https://www.manageengine.com/products/desktop-central/service-packs1.html - it says that the latest version is 10.0.395. The question is why my server says that it is up to date if it is not?
unable to remote control after update to 10.0.394
After update to 10.0.394, I am unable to remote control when connect using https (8383) port. A new windows open, and I get "Your connection is not private" error, with no option to proceed.
Patch Mgmt Error code documentation
I've googled and searched here but am unable to locate any good information as to what this error from Desktop Central means. The referenced assembly is not installed on your system. I have a handful of machines with this message on an update or two. When i check those machines, I do see the update sitting in the patches folder. I've checked the dcpatchmgmt.log and see the entry for it there, but it's not telling me what is missing or what's being looked for. Is there more information on this error

Weird bug in latest version (10.0.395)
Just updated to the latest version as above and most things seem to be working fine and look ok. I am hitting a strange bug that seems to occur across all browsers and on different machines. Basically - If you search for a computer name using the main search button (greenbox spyglass icon) and type in a machine name and select computer name it will show you the result. I want to deploy patches during business hours (7 to 5 Monday through Friday) but only reboot to install the patches (when required) outside of business hours. Is that possible in a deployment policy or will I have to create a deployment policy that does not reboot, then create a scheduled task to reboot?

USB Blocking
Hello, I have my entire domain USB's blocked but if I exclude a PC or exclude a device it's not working. It will still block the USB. Is there certain steps that need to be in place to exlude the PC's or Devices? Thanks, Matthew
