Desktop Central - Missing Patches - Office 2016 Deployment Tool

Hi all,

I've got a support ticket with ManageEngine for issues with patches showing as missing on clients and failed downloads for Desktop Central (10.0.386).

Most notably is the ever increasing number of "Office 2016 Deployment Tool" failed downloads increasing in number, 26511, 26527, 26557, 26740 and 26759 with a "Failed" Download Status and "Unable to execute command" remarks. Actually, checking today it's now 26740, 26742, 26759 and 26767 following the May Patch Tuesday of course. You have to go to the "Downloaded Patches" page and sort by Download Status to see these failed ones.

Trying to upload these patches into Desktop Central never seems to complete, I've also tried putting them into the "Store" folder, but they seem to get removed. There are folders of these, so presumably it extracts them into the folder and these exist in the store. There are also "Office365_installer" files of the next consecutive number for each of these in the store, which are the ones showing up missing for clients.

There are some other patches that are showing up as missing, which seems to be due to incorrect detection as they pertain to older build of Windows 10, or Windows 7 (yet the client is Windows 10), or they're updates from Jan and Feb 2019. It's not because they're Optional Updates, those are being installed ok. Additionally, they don't always show up as missing when viewing the client (even Global Data), you have to view Managed Systems view and click on the Missing Patches column.

While the incorrect detection is an annoyance for reports, the Office ones are not patching clients which is a concern.

Anyone else having these problems?
