USB Blocking
Hello, I have my entire domain USB's blocked but if I exclude a PC or exclude a device it's not working. It will still block the USB. Is there certain steps that need to be in place to exlude the PC's or Devices? Thanks, Matthew

Hi, After we configured and launched DC Patch Management Module and started applying software updates on our Corp Computers, we discovered the problem with freeze of Laptops after being rebooted by DC Agent following installation of scheduled patches. All laptops have MS Bitlocker Enabled. Above problem does not apply to desktops that are rebooted by DC Agent without any problems. Fewer Reports for manual selection than for scheduled sending?
Hi, today I noticed that the patch-reports section under "Reports" has fewer entries than the patch-report section in the scheduled reports wizzard. Is this a bug or feature? BTW: We're using the german language version.
OS Upgrades 1803 -> 1809 Attempt to Apply Twice
Good Morning, After application of an OS upgrade via the "Feature Upgrade" packages, any deployments including the feature update for that machine attempt to apply again. I am not sure what is causing this behavior, but it looks like with the OS upgrade, ManageEngine does not remember that the deployment was applied, and attempts again. I have an example of a configuration with this behavior. Thank you!

Uninstalling Software Silently
I am having an issue with Minitab 17.3.1.0 silent uninstall.I am able to silently install the software with no problems. I have about 88 installs to update to version 18.I can install version 18 silently with no problems. When I try to silently uninstall 17 the status show Not Applicable - Deployment Skipped. When I run the msiexec command right on the test computer it removes the software almost instantly with no UI. I can't figure out what I am missing. Ed

Hey. So we're trying to automate patching servers When testing we noticed after a server is done installing updates it reboots but then it does not check for updates again, DC only seems to do one wave of updates. We then created 2 deployment times on the same day 9AM-12PM and 4PM-8PM This time after rebooting it did the updates again but only with our 2nd deployment time however after everything was done, I logged in again and the server still had more pending updates. Popup boxes with SelfService Portal after upgrade to 10.0.368
After upgrading to the latest version (10.0.368) our users are now getting 4 popup boxes when they open the SelfService portal. 1st box is a long Alpha Numeric string with an OK button 2nd box is "Zoho Corporation private Limited" with an Ok Button 3rd box is a repeat of the first 4th box is a repeat of the second After you click "ok" in the final box the Selfservice portal window does show up and is functional. The problem is our users think there's an issue and are all calling our service desk.
OS Deployment | Manual driver collection
Hi! I want to deploy a previously created image on different model laptop. For this purpose I created manual driver repository, downlad drivers from vendor official support web-page, extraxct and put them to shared folder. After "update driver repository" process those drivers appeared in "Discovered drivers" tab and avaiable to select. But i noticed that field "Computer manufacturer" and "Computer model" are empty. On training videos on youtube I saw that manually added drivers could be sorted by
automatic check for update.
When I click my build version and then click for check for updates i get the message Unable to check for updates at the moment. Try again after sometime.. i am running 10.0.391. is there a site i have to allow for this to work?
Error while deploying template configuration in Desktop Central
Hi All, We have run into an issue after upgrading DC to .368 that trying to use Custom Actions - Resolve Requests Using Template in which the error above appears on templates that had worked previously. Has anyone else seen this issue with the recent patches? SD is on 10.0 Build 10020 but i am not sure if it's related to Service Desk or DC. I figured i would start here first. Thanks
Self Service Portal closes after a few seconds
Hi guys, I have the feeling that since the new version of Desktop Central (10.0.386) the SelfService Portal crashes/closes after a few seconds. When I try to reopen it the same thing happens again. I am trying to associate licenses to a specific software with no success. The amount of licenses is correct and I have filled in all the other information and added the license file. When I click to associate to machines nothing shows. Not sure If am doing wrong but the summary page doesn't show the license as used.
Delete registry value doesn't check if value exists and runs into an error
Hi, I'm deploying a configuration to disable autostarting an application by removing its autostart entry from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Since I don't know on which machines the autostart is enabled I'm deploying the config to all machnies but on machines without this registry value the config exited with an error "The system can not find the specified file". Which looks like there is no check if the value exists before dc tries to delete it.

citrix patch download
My server can not download the newest CitrixReceiver4.9.600.exe patch from https://downloads.citrix.com/15913/CitrixReceiver.exe?__gda__=1556884353_5e4db8c1d31feb05ca0291217462e29d when i went to citrix website and download the update and tried to upload it I got invalid checksum. I also had issue download the citrix workplace patch. I noticed that the site it is download from is different. I tried to download from https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows-ltsr/receiver-for-windows-ltsr-latest.html.
Desktop Central (high cpu usage on Server 2012)
Hello, I am testing Desktop Central on a small group of machines on a local Workgroup. I have installed a fresh copy of Windows Server 2012 on my ESXi server. Upon installing Desktop Central, my CPU usage spikes to 80-90%. The process taking up most of it is postgresql. I can't seem to figure out why this is as this doesn't happen on a local machine. This is a simple test installation, nothing else on the server. Any advice is appreciated
System Manager Field Chooser
Having the ability to search for computers in System Manager via the Description field would be a huge benefit. My point, when joining computers to Active Directory we use the Asset ID for the computer name and the Description field to identify the users. Desktop central database holding AD data
We are running a single AD domain, with multiple countries in different delegated OU's. We have set our SoM to be limited to the correct OU, however, report are pulling details from the whole of the domain and this is being held within the database. has anyone else experienced this? is there a way to limit this and purge the database? thanks
How to change path/location where Distribution Servers download the patches and software when replicate from DC Server?
Is there a way to change the path or location where a Distribution Server stores the Patches and Softwares replicated files? If I'm not mistaken this is the original path: C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_DistributionServer\replication. But I would like to know if there is way to modify to a different location and Agents still be able to reach for them when contacting the Distribution Server. Thanks in advance,

Unable to get Desktop Central to work with Amazon Workspace
Hello, We have multiple Amazon Workspaces in our environment that we have been unable to install desktop central on. I'm unable to remote deploy, I just get a network error every time. I've worked with ManageEngine support and done the suggestion of opening ports 135 and 445 but it did not help at all. I've also been able to manually install DC on the workspace after doing some registry changes but even though it's installed, it's still not showing up in DC. We are able to ping the workspace from

Microsoft releases fix for the Wormable vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708)
Microsoft released this month's edition of Patch Tuesday with fix for a highly critical vulnerability. This vulnerability (CVE-2019-0708), dubbed "Wormable vulnerability", resides in "Remote Desktop Services" component and could be exploited remotely by sending specially crafted requests over RDP(Remote Desktop Protocol) to a targeted system. This vulnerability is present in Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 and in older versions like Windows XP and Windows 2003 as well.
Server is automatically rebooting
One of my servers is logging everyone out and rebooting. There is no option to postpone. It is part of my Dynamic Group server test group, but that group is set to "Deploy during business hours(Do not reboot)". Why would the server be ignoring the deployment policy and forcing a reboot? MDM without Secure Gateway
Hello, We using Desktop Central as Freeware-Edition and now I want to use the MDM-Part. I am reminded that one could use mdm without a gateway. Is this still possible or do I need a license for the gateway. If so, it will also be needed for the freeware version? Is there a test license to test the function in advance? Ralph
Desktop Central in a docker/container
I am using windows server 2016 and have another management program running, in my experience the two programs will conflict at some point so i just assume virtualize or utilize docker. If anyone has some advice for me i would appreciate it! Will update with my progress.

Question about patch location and folders
I have noticed recently that machines that are missing patches don't seem to have a "patch" folder in the Desktop Central folder directory. IE: C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_Agent\patches Those that do have the "patches" folder, don't seem to be showing on the Missing Patches report, Vulnerable or Highly Vulnerable report. Addition of event logs to Inventory View

Superseded Updates still showing as Missing Updates
I have 65 updates that have been Superseded, going all the way back to August of 2018, that are showing up as Missing Updates. Of these 65, one of them was declined back in September of last year, but is still on the missing lists. Alerting on Server Start up Failure
Does anyone know where the alerts for "Desktop Central Server Start up Failure" come from or are set? At the moment we have one old employee getting the alert and one who isn't an admin getting it. I checked in Admin - Server settings and the notifications settings point to an admin directly. Desktop Central DS Install locking AD accounts
Every since we upgraded to 10.0.347. when ever we try to install a new DS at a site, Desktop Central locks the AD account without installing the server. The error then reads in Desktop Central "The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to." We can unlock it, repeat and same issue.
