How to unistall a client agent of dektop central, i have enable un agent setting uninstall from control panel, but it dosn´t work, do you have any utility for this
Wake on LAN
Did the Wake on LAN will work in the same IPs segmenet with the Desktop Central server install? Can the Wake on Lan work on others IPs segment and all segment can reach each other(ping)?
Office 2010 Installation Times Out
I followed the video posted on the ME website concerning the non-network share installation of Office 2010 (http) and the installation is timing out. I verified the download files are available. I verified the 7za.exe process is running after the initial configuration executes, but nothing happens. I extracted the 7z file with the same command used in Desktop Central and it unzips without error. Need help! Thanks.
Exclue a patch for a single workstations
Is there a way to exlucde a patch for a single workstation on desktop central? Because if I try to exclude it, it will be excluded to all the managed computers. Thanks

Show Disk Space in MB instead of GB
Good Morning, I'm trying to schedule a report of disk space for a set of systems in Desktop Central, but there is only an option to show free disk space in gigabytes. I am looking to get a little more detailed than this and would like to view this down to the megabyte. Is there a way to get "free megabytes" vs. "free gigabytes"? Thanks! -Tim

Local Group Membership
I ran the Local Group Members report on the local Administrators group under Inventory reports and it only shows users, but no groups that are nested in this group. How do I get a full listing of users and groups located in local Administrators group on my workstations?
Removal of prohibited software
Hi, Why can not all prohibited software be uninstalled automatically? Google Toolbar version 1 can but 7.1.2003.1856 and later versions can't. We're also finding that later versions can not be uninstalled automatically. Any ideas? Thanks, Matt

DC agent apply configurations once connected to internet
DC agents check for new policies and configurations every 90 minutes. We have external users who are not immediately connected to the internet when they logon to their PC's (they use wireless cards). This delays receiving configurations for 90+ minutes. Sometimes, they're not online for 90 minutes and don't get the configuration for days. Can the agent be setup to detect an internet connection (query the DC server every 5 minutes or so) and apply configurations as soon as it can contact the server?

Need help deploying Kaspersky AV
We are switching from Microsoft Forefront to Kaspersky for our company Antivirus solution. I need assistance with getting it to deploy from Desktop Central I can deploy it to our systems internally with the Kaspersky server. When I try to do a deployment from Desktop Central, it seems to get stuck. it either a) starts the install - the install completes and prompts for a reboot - then after it reboots it starts all over from the beginning - and the Desktop Central server says it is retrying. b) it

After upgrade to DC8 lost all packages
After we upgraded to desktop central 8 all the custom packages we had are now gone, I made a back up of the program files desktop central directory but i don't know how to import all the packages to the new version. could someone please assist me with the issue. Thank You,
View under All Configurations
Under All Configurations the Global and My Views isn't working properly. The program keeps defaulting to an odd view that displays three configurations. If I select the already bullet filled Global View it will display the rest of the configurations but will not stay in this view over any period of refresh cycles.

Patch download failure; Access is denied
Hello, I have version 8 installed and a direct connection to the internet. Whenever I try to install a patch to any system the download fails and I get an access is denied. I open the logs and use the URL to the patches directly and I can download them. The patches themselves are being stored on a full control shared directory on my network. CPU Usage at 100%
I was wondering if anyone else has seen this yet. I just upgraded to Desktop Central 8 and my existing sites work prefect but I setup a new remote site and anytime the agent gets installed, all the computers peg the processor at 100% usage. Services like DCSWMeter DCCONFIG DCONDemand all eat up processor until it hits 100%. Has anyone seen this yet?

Hi We are getting the above error on one of our WIndows 7 x64 machines when we scan it. It is showing as having 35 updates waiting and failing as the PC needs a reboot. The PC has been rebooted and there are no updates waiting for it. Does anyone know what is causing this? We are using Desktop Central 8.0.0 (80000). Thanks.

Desktop Central Question
My question is would the desktop central software be ideal for a computer repair service company to better help serve there customers remotely? I ask this because most home users will have a dynamic ip address that changes from day to day. Will that effect the communication between the clients computer and the server?

Generating patch report
I want to create a report for all the machines that I patched during a maintenance window. Apparently, there is a report for healthy, vulnerable, and highly vulnerable machines, but that does not help me with auditing of the machines that were just patched, and showing the recent patches over a certain date range on a certain subset of machines. Adding Customized Columns to Inventory View
Hi Guys! Is there a way to add customized columns in inventory view? I mean, I have some internal classifications for the computers, such as A, B and C, and I would like to view this also in Desktop Central. The way I do it right now is to export inventory to CSV and then add this column in Excel, But I don´t want to use Excel anymore! I want to have only Desktop Central to manage my whole inventory. How to run a custom report showing servers/desktops and what patches are missing
I've been banging my head against this but I have to provide a list of patches missing on each server to look like Computer Name, Bulletin, PatchReleaseDate, Status, Severity where the patch may not have been deployed yet but should be deployed in the future. Does somebody have any sql for this?
Faulty development trends for DC?
Hello Desktop Central team and community, (sorry bad english) We use DC for almost one year and we think it is a good product to patch our windows server. But when I see the roadmap and the postings in this messageboard I see a faulty development trend for Desktop Central. We miss many core features in the product and a better/accurately test of new Desktop Central builds.
