Issues Since Latest Patch - Characters Not Displaying Correctly, Lost our LDAP certificate ability
Since the latest patch to 10.0.476 on our Windows Server the characters displayed in the "Software Deployment" > "Package Details" information page are not correct...The backslashes in the file path are showing as "\\" Rather than \\ This is the same for all of the software packages... If you click on "Actions" > "Modify" to open up the package for changes, the characters all display correctly. as far as the LDAP SSL cert goes...I'm not sure if it was originally set up to be used, or if
Proper way to remove a distribution server and remote office
I have 3 distribution servers and there corresponding remote office that are no longer needed as these sites have been closed. is there a proper way to remove both the DS and remote site? currently there still shows agents in these remote offices but none on the agent are currently live and will not be live in these locations. what happens when i delete the remote office with agents in it? Please let me know if there is a proper order to deleting remote office and DS with non live agents in

Query for Disposed Assets
I'm looking to have a query created that will send me a list of IT Assets (Workstations) that have been disposed of in the last 30 days. We've disabled the option that disposes IT Assets if they have been removed from Scope of Management in Desktop Central. When enabled it removes all ownership from the Asset and causes problems. But we still need to know when an asset is disposed of so we can remove it from Scope of Management manually. That's what the query will provide me.

Hi, I really like custom groups but often I want to create a new one based on an existing one - at the moment I have to make a record of how the original is set up, and then recreate all the rules. It would be really useful if you could clone or duplicate existing custom groups. Thanks!

Hi, I've having trouble trying to figure out how to run schedulled reports for the patch management. What I want is to schedule a report to run on the 1st of every month. We have used Desktop Central to push Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrades. After upgrading, Office 2016 becomes deactivated. When I re-enter the VL Mac key, Office reactivates. To speed things up I wanted to push the key to the deactivated clients. System Changing Asset States.
The system will change an asset state from "In Use" to "In Store" when a user is termed. How do we disable that?

How to keep "In Store" assets from getting changed by the system...
Is there a way to keep "In Store" assets from being altered through scans, etc. automatically? They are getting changed to In Use to the last user it was assigned to, even though I changed it to "In Store". Once "In Store", it shouldn't be changed until we pull and assign.

Hi All, We have been performing in-place upgrades of Windows 7 to finish up a couple lingering PCs. We have noticed when the PC is upgraded, the inventory page for that machine in DC errors out with the following error. This happens for Windows 7 -> 10 and for server 2008 -> 2012 R2. Good day, I have an infrastructure where I constantly move machines in and out of different OU's to blacklist them from receiving patches for periods of time. Is there a way to sync Desktop Central with AD to reflect these changes so software doesn't get pushed to these machines when they are blacklisted or would I have to perform this task manualy? Desktop Central Agent automatically removes itself, unknown why?
We have a mixture of Windows LTSB and Windows 10 Pro machines in our network. The LTSB machines have no issue with Desktop Central. However, when the agent is installed on the Windows 10 Pro machines within 20 minutes of the agent install it is removed. At that point you can no longer remote into the machine. But if we uninstall the agent and reinstall the agent we can remote into the machine again. I believe it has something to do with Windows 10 Pro and the agent we are using. We have added provisions

Just a simple question. If a computer is manually removed or removed via the AD Sync option from desktop central because it failed to check in, in a specific amount of time, if that computer comes back on line, will desktop central pick it back up and readd it back to the inventory? "Total available RAM" inventory field misnamed
I'm using 10.0.433 and looking at my inventory details (Computers > Computer Details > Hardware > Physical Memory) I believe that where it says "Total Available RAM" the name is a bit misleading, as this appears to be the the maximum RAM the system could support, *not* the total that's in the system. I've checked this on many systems that have 8GB or 16GB and it always lists 32GB in this field. If this field were renamed to "Maximum supported RAM" I think it would be less confusing! Thanks!

Setting up a device outside of the network
Hi, We have installed the desktop central client on a PC in a workgroup that isn't on our LAN. the troubleshooting tool shows that it can see the Desktop Central Server and the Notification server. The PC however doesn't ever appear in the console. So the question is should a device, that isn't on the LAN and has the client installed manually, appear in Scope of Management automatically. Hi Currently, to know what's changed in desktop central you have to enter your current ME DC version's number and then you see a whole list of changes. But when you install an update, another changelog appears which shows the changes clearly per version number. I find that one to be much more useful, to know whether or not an update is necessary for me. Could you please publish that one on your website?
AD Sync Settings - Question about OU's
I believe I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to verify and I couldn't find it anywhere in official documentation or through questions on this forum. When adding OU's to the AD sync settings in Desktop Central, does it automatically include any "child" OU's listing under the parent or do they each need to be checked individually?
