Access to Custom Groups for Remote Office Admins
I have a situation where we have administrators for certain Remote Offices, they only manage that remote office and nothing else. These remote offices need access to certain custom groups, when they log in they can see the Remote Office and machines for that RO (as expected) but do not have access to the custom groups in the drop down list (see picture) I have created an account to test with and assigned it admin privileges to a remote office. Our system is completely non-AD. We need to know if it is possible to run a report that will list the computer name, user login, and last login time. If possible, we would also couid make good use of last password change time. Is this possible in DC? if so, how. Will it require a SQL query? MIke
Profile Failed to Install
Trying to enroll an iPad in Desktop Central 8 and when I go to install the MDM profile, I'm getting a "Profile Failed to Install - The profile "MDM Profile" could not be installed. I've rebooted the ipad, nothing helps. Any ideas?

Domain information in task is truncated
In tools/Remote Shutdown/Modify Task, the PC list turncates some of the Domains and puts "..." at the end. I have imported the data into an Excel Spreadsheet and need the full Domain Name. Is there a way to have the full domain name listed? See example shown below::
Report to show Agent Version
I am looking for a report which will show me the agent version which is installed on each machine, however looking in the Reports section, there doesn't seem to be one. I have also checked the Custom Reports and cannot see anything there either. I want to ensure all machines are using the most up to date version of the client. Thanks
Software Deployment is stuck on "In Progress" status for several hours
Hello, I've reached out to Desktop Central's support team about this issue several times already, but they can't seem to find a solution for my issue. I am using Desktop Central 9 build #92035, I've been attempting to deploy .exe files from our software repository on several client agents and they all seem to get stuck on the "In Progress" status for several hours before I eventually cancel the task. So far, on the client machine I've tried a manual silent install of the .exe file via command prompt

All Patches view: How to save filter criteria?
We use DC to deploy only third-party patches (Java, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash and Mozilla Firefox) - we use WSUS to deploy MS patches. So I don't need to see all available patches in Patch Mgmt / All Patches view. So, I use a filter "patch type" equal "third party update". Some DC versions ago DC remembered such a filter when I go back to the All Patches view. But now, I have to set the filter again and again when I use the All Patches view. Machines are not being patched
Several issues here and we are at a loss of why this is happening. So, automated patch manager is not pushing windows patches (but 3rd party seems to work). According to the reports, the scanned machines have no windows patches needed, but on the machines themselves they are showing 30+ patches that need to be installed. Event after two weeks of the patch manager running nightly, the same machines are still not being patched. * Machines are on during patch time * Machines are part of the target list

Baseline Patch Configs
Can anyone suggest a recommended method to create a Baseline Patch Configuration. My purpose is that it would be catchall for all approved patches that are production environment approved. It is a task that I would want to run on newly imaged PCs as well as something that is run weekly on all corporate workstations to ensure they are patched up to date. Any advice would be great. Inventory Scanning not occurring since update to Build 92029
I have not had any updates on the inventory of any of the 700+ computers I have running Desktop Central since I updated the Build on Friday. No other changes to the system have been made since updating the Server build
Inventory tab not updating since apply build update last week.
I applied the build patch on Friday and Inventory page has not refreshed since. I can loo at recently installed software report and it show it there, but the computer audit summary and 5 most recent software changes have not updated or changed since the patch was applied to the server.

Strange differance between free and enterprise
Hi, We have Desktop Central Enterprise edition in the office and I have the Freeware edition installed at home for my home network and I've noticed that on the freeware version when deploying a configuration I'm able to select computer from targets form the go but on the Enterprise edition I have to select a remote office, then a computer which could lead to something being deployed to the whole domain. I have an automatic patch group called "Servers Manual Update". My intention is to have all systems in this group to scan, download, and then wait until I take an action to start installing patches. I have some test machines in this group now, and it looks like everything worked as scheduled. SQL Server and Desktop Central - Backups and Patching
We have Desktop Central configured to use a SQL database. The DTC server and SQL are on separate servers. How should patches be applied to the SQL server since the result will be the SQL server getting rebooted and DTC will lose connection. The same is true for patching the DTC server itself... Deploy DS to non-default installation path
Hello, We are just getting stared implementing DTC in our environment and I have a question about setting up a DS. From the help I can see at a certain point you download a zip file which you extract and run the setup.bat on the DS machine to install it. Can you select where to install DS on a server (i.e. we have foreseen a separate partition - F: - for this purpose)? I don't want it (and the patch/software repository) to deploy to the default C:\ path. Thank you for your feedback. Steve
Deployment timing
Probably a silly question but i just want to make sure my thinking is correct. In my deployment config below i have the patch job set to deploy at midnight on Sat and end at 5:59AM. My DTC server is EST. My Client Machine is PST. This is a three hour difference between them. So assuming the box checks in at 12:01 EST (9:01 PST). That means it wont actually start deploying its package until 3:01 EST (12:01 Local PST), since its West coast. This means that It would continue to deploy until 8:59

Domain is blank for Opera Mac Patches
Yesterday, DTC started reporting that it could not reach all domains for patch downloads. The connection test shows only 1 domain failing for Opera Mac patches, and the domain is blank. See attached screenshot.
Desktop Central reporting incorrect OS
I have noticed a few machines are reporting back saying they have Windows Vista, or Windows XP when they actually have Windows 7. Do I need to do something in order to correct this, as scanning the inventory on the machine doesn't update it.
Disk Space on new devices
I've noticed an issue with newly built devices, not sure if it's effecting all devices at the ,moment. The inventory is showing new devices that they have no free disk space on the main inventory summery. Within hardware it's correct, the issue with also showing the same issue on reports. MDM Geo-Tracking Map
On the Geo-Tracking tab of an MDM managed device, it shows the recent latitude and longitude of the device. Underneath it says that I can configure Google map to locate the device by downloading the Google plug-in. But the link takes me to instructions on downloading and unzipping an html file. Instructions seem to indicate it should be unzipped to C:\ManageEngine\DesktopCentral_Server\ and it ended up unzipping to C:\ManageEngine\DesktopCentral_Server\devicelocationmap\webapps\DesktopCentral\html\deviceLocationMap.html

Unable to deploy IE11 patch (KB3124275)
I am currently trying to deploy the patch update (KB3124275) through desktop central and for whatever reason I cannot get it to deploy on any computer. I have tried manually installing the update which works absolutely fine. When trying to deploy the update it states is "Not Applicable" when I know for a fact that it should be applicable as I have tested manually. Anyone run into this issue before? I triple checked that the update I downloaded is exactly the same update (x64) that I used to
