Best way to uninstall KB3035583 (GWX) with ME DC
I've already successfully deployed the Reg tweak (and dozens of other DC configurations and deployments, not a total noob) to disable the Get Windows 10 (GWX) updates, per the Microsoft KB. However, I also need to remove the entire KB3035583 since it is nagging our users still (even though it's disabled and won't allow the upgrade). I have been unable to do this, since this KB is not listed in my ME DC patches for uninstallation. I've also tried a simple one-line batch with the WUSA command that
Tools/Remote Control shows "No Domains Available" and shows no computers
Hello, When I go to "Tools/Remote Control" within DC it populates no Domains or computers. No search criteria (adding a specific IP address or computer name) to search for yields anything. This also happens when I go to "Inventory"... No data is present at all. The agent says it is installed correctly. Clicking Scan Systems/Patch Scan shows all systems and all available domains. This just started happening maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Thank you for any suggestions
Removing computers from Scheduled Wake On Lan
I added a custom group to a Scheduled Wake On Lan. There are two computers that I just need to remove from the Wake on Lan task but everytime I remove them and save the task they keep coming back.

Hello all, After some CSV import frustrations and a few tickets later I have learned that "Asset tags" can only be imported/updated through Windows WMI. I was wondering how I would go about editing/adding this information for client machines. Thank you for any assistance you provide.

I read a few posts that Linux was on the roadmap for quite some time now. Does the current Linux agent support patch management? We don't have an immediate need and it's not easy enough for me to test it just yet. Last time I tested I believe it only did inventory. Thanks.
Has anyone else seen horribly slow software deployments on DC Build 92038?
We previously pushed 100s of MB of software in 20 minutes or so on our ISP grade internet and Gb inside networks. On hotfix build 92038, software copies at around 1KB per second which is atrocious and renders the most important feature to us unusable. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not hard to monitor in the C:\Program Files (x86)\DesktopCentral_Agent\swrepository\1\swuploads folder. Hello, I began to activate "Alert" Configurations for several user groups, i.e.: Warn User 5 days before password expires. / Purge TEMP files. Is there a possibility to modify the text message in the Alert-Popup? For example users have reported, that these messages are confusing and they where not sure, where this came from; one had suspected a malware/virus, because of the plain look of the message box. Schedule patch scans
I have several custom groups and would like to schedule each group to do an inventory scan at a different time throughout the day but I can't find a way to do this. We don't want all of our computers to scan at the same time. Is it possible to do this? Thanks, Amanda

Hi, is it possible to have shortcuts for the following 3 functions: Desktop Central Agent Send Request to Helpdesk Self Service Portal Found this within the Self Service Portal settings on Desktop Central. There have been times where the agent on machines have disappeared or not loaded, and users are having to log out and back in again to restart Desktop Central. The Send Request to Helpdesk and Self Service Portal links on the desktop would also be handy for users to have.
Can't start Desktop Central
Can anyone help me start Desktop Central? I'm getting an Error ID 7024 in event viewer. A window also appears saying "If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 1." I'm trying to run this with a Domain Admin user, so rights shouldn't be an issue. Thanks!

Firefox ESR 38
We want to stay on Firefox ESR 38 because of some software that we are using. Now that ESR 45 has been released the systems with ESR 38 show they are missing ESR 45 instead of showing they are missing the most recent ESR 38 update. We changed ESR 45 to Not Approved and now the systems with ESR 38 show they are not missing any patches even though there is an update for ESR 38. Is there a way to get them to show that they are missing an update even though it's listed as superseded? I don't think
Remote Control launches window option menu on connect
Whenever I connect to a client, the top window's menu launches like this: It would also be nice to have an option to launch in view only mode with the ability to take control. The current 'view only' option is a global option and does not allow taking control after the session has started.

Hi, I wanted to try Dekstop Central because it seems to be a good alternative to other tools as SCCM. But before I try it, I need some information : - Does this solution can handle approximately 30 000 clients? - If yes, how much will it approximately cost? Office 2013 Repair Script Needed
Hi, we have installed Office 2013 on around 250 machines, however it has left Office 2010 installed. I have run the script to uninstall Office 2010 but when trying to run Word 2013 I get: "We're sorry, but Word has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Would you like to us to repair now?" When clicking repair it will fix the problem, but I cannot find a script which I can push out via DC to repair after the uninstall of 2010. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I have stopped all services but now when installing i get the error " Postgres DB migration failed. The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program. close the folder or file and try again. I have nothing open and i verified through task manager. Remote Control will not connect successfully.
I just upgraded Desktop Central last week to Build 92029. The Remote Control (HTML 5) which was working great is now not connecting and stays at loading or when I click connect it will go back to connecting and then will just hang.This is urgent since the majority of the computers we use are remote and now cannot connect to.

Which report should I run?
I have set up Custom Groups (Admin > Custom Groups) based on OU from Active Directory. For example: UK-Marketing UK-Sales UK-HR etc It has assigned the machines using SoM, so each custom group only contains the machines in that department. I will then bee using Self Service Portal to assign only software each department use. For example, UK-Marketing will need Software1 and Software2 but the other departments won't, however, I need to run a report for the machines in UK-Marketing to show what software

Patches needed but not showing in Desktop Central
I have a server(s) that report in Desktop Central that they need only 3 updates. When I check if the machine needs update locally (Windows Update) the server needs 21 update. I have updated the Patch DB everyday and reran the patch scan on the server. Still nothing changes. The updates that are needed are a week old. I search for a few of the missing updates in Desktop Central "All Patches", example 3098785 and 3134222, and they are not listed in "All Patches" Please advise

Access to Custom Groups for Remote Office Admins
I have a situation where we have administrators for certain Remote Offices, they only manage that remote office and nothing else. These remote offices need access to certain custom groups, when they log in they can see the Remote Office and machines for that RO (as expected) but do not have access to the custom groups in the drop down list (see picture) I have created an account to test with and assigned it admin privileges to a remote office. Domain information in task is truncated
In tools/Remote Shutdown/Modify Task, the PC list turncates some of the Domains and puts "..." at the end. I have imported the data into an Excel Spreadsheet and need the full Domain Name. Is there a way to have the full domain name listed? See example shown below::
Report to show Agent Version
I am looking for a report which will show me the agent version which is installed on each machine, however looking in the Reports section, there doesn't seem to be one. I have also checked the Custom Reports and cannot see anything there either. I want to ensure all machines are using the most up to date version of the client. Thanks
Software Deployment is stuck on "In Progress" status for several hours
Hello, I've reached out to Desktop Central's support team about this issue several times already, but they can't seem to find a solution for my issue. I am using Desktop Central 9 build #92035, I've been attempting to deploy .exe files from our software repository on several client agents and they all seem to get stuck on the "In Progress" status for several hours before I eventually cancel the task. So far, on the client machine I've tried a manual silent install of the .exe file via command prompt
