Developer Option
Hi, I'm wondering if i can disable the Developer option from the whole device. As i know i can Restrict/disable Developer Mode but when i choose it, nothing changed ! i still can use the development option. Our devices runs, Samsung OS in the profile ( in mdm ) is Developer Mode : Restricted I know if the Device is Supervised or Device owner, then you can disable it from same configuration ( Configuration prof --> Restrictions --> Security --> Developer mode : restrict) but what is the device is
How do we change the size of Icons in Kiosk Mode
We have some tablets that run Kiosk mode, the icons are way too small, even when we change display scaling settings. Please can you add an option to change the size of the icons when a device is in kiosk mode. The option to deploy a layout would also be cool. Many thanks Luke

Is there a way to query information about Network Settings specifically append DNS suffice search? And then is there a way to change network settings on stations via ManageEngine?
Windows 10 Home - covered/restrictions?
Hi All I am looking at Deskop Central as have inherited sites where there is a single system which is in alot of cases Winsows 10 Home operating system. They are standalone but need a way to be cost effective to put central security controls on them eg screen lock outs etc aswell. Before I have to look at OS upgrades to pro which may not be financially viable can you kindly let me know. That way I can phase them out over coming years. Thanks in advance.
Query for Disposed Assets
I'm looking to have a query created that will send me a list of IT Assets (Workstations) that have been disposed of in the last 30 days. We've disabled the option that disposes IT Assets if they have been removed from Scope of Management in Desktop Central. When enabled it removes all ownership from the Asset and causes problems. But we still need to know when an asset is disposed of so we can remove it from Scope of Management manually. That's what the query will provide me.
[SOLVED] Upgraded to 10.0.475 and still told I need to update
I installed the hotfix to upgrade from 10.0.457 to 10.0.475, it went well but when I visit the GUI it tells me at the top that the same update is still available and within the GUI the version information says the same: Any idea how to fix this?

Accessing Failed patches per machine via API
Hi, I am having issues finding where to pull failed patch information for computers via the API. I can pull most things such as pending patches but cannot find where you access a failed patch and a remark based on why it failed via the API. Anyone know what the URL for the get request would be?
OS Deployment and Surface Pro 7
Has anyone experienced an issue with capturing images on a Surface Pro 7? Desktop Central is installing the image creator components but the component doesn't seem to be reporting the partition information. IN addition the OS Depolyment WinPE environment doesn't start when booting to a USB drive...this is happening on multiple Surface Pro 7 devices, but not on any other model of PC we are using, including older Surface Pro models. Any help and advice is appreciated.

Stop a Custom Script from running
Hi All, I've created a custom script configuration that deploys a .vbs script. This script displays a pop up message on the target machine with yes and no buttons. If yes is clicked, a browser and website is displayed, no closes the pop up. This is all working fine and I deployed with the frequency set to "every startup until 31st Jan 16:00" I've noticed that if I remove a machine from the target list, the pop up still appears. I assume that's because the .vbs has been downloaded locally to "....\computer\startup\"

Hi, I've having trouble trying to figure out how to run schedulled reports for the patch management. What I want is to schedule a report to run on the 1st of every month. ESU MAK Key for Windows 7 - Script Arugments
We have purchased a few keys for testing in our environment. However, after creating the configuration, I am not sure how to add the key. All the description says is: Deploy ESU MAK Key for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 / R2 machines. Specify MAK key as Script Argument. Configuration Type - COMPUTER So how would the argument be formatted to include the ESU Key? DO i just enter in the key with hyphens in the argument box and nothing else? Do I need to append or prefix it with anything?
Pre-Deployment Software Uninstall
Hi, We are using a software called Uinson, they are shortly going to be coming out with a new version, which will require us to deploy a new piece of software and uninstall the old version. I am currently trying to configure a pre-deployment task to uninstall the old version before completing the install. I am running into an error stating the handle is invalid. How to execute a Powershell script
Hello, I'm trying to run a Powershell script on DC, but when I add the script to the Script Repository and deploy it, even though the result is "Executed", when I go to the computer on which the deployment ran, it's like nothing really happened. Unable to deploy images to Sk Hynix SSD NVMe drives
Dell is using Sk Hynix drives in several models now and we are unable to boot to deploy images as it does not detect these drives. I have tried everything to get the drivers (Dell does not provide them) but no combination of disk/storage drivers will allow the USB Boot drive to see the drives. I can boot from a Windows 10 ISO with no problems. The Desktop Central ISO and USB boot media has no luck. I have even added every driver available on our Desktop Central server with no luck. Desktop Central Assets Not Showing in Service Desk
We're trying to use Custom Actions - Install\Uninstall Software and when we try to find the Workstation in the drop down it doesn't show. We have Desktop Central and it's agents are installed. The machine in question shows in DC and we have our Integration settings set-up. However some PCs are not pulling into SD. Is there a way to force the assets over manually and where can we look to see what might be failing? On prem SD (11010) and DC (442). Thanks for any advice.
Desktop Central Mobile app Unable to Reach Server
Hi everyone, I am curious if anyone can point me in the direction of what to look at for a issue with the mobile app. I am playing around with desktop central and I can not get the mobile app to connect to the DC server. Ports 443,8443,8031,8027 are all open. I can access it via the internet through the web address listed under admin-global settings-mobile app and it works just fine with everything working. Workflow for change request in SDP to rollout patches in desktop central?
i'm not sure if i'm missing it, but while we have both servicedesk plus and desktop central with integration enabled, i don't see any easy way to approve patches from servicedesk plus and then roll them out to specific computers. i can always copy and paste the list of patches into a change request and reference the system(s) manually, but that seems a wasted opportunity on ManageEngine's part. Not a specific version, but something like %Java% so that it would find everything Java or Oracle and then list every host that has it installed. We have used Desktop Central to push Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrades. After upgrading, Office 2016 becomes deactivated. When I re-enter the VL Mac key, Office reactivates. Can we get an up to date Desktop Central guide in actual book format or PDF format? I need something portable to take with me where i don't always have internet access to look through whats currently available. Can I decline patches for Windows OS families?
Is there a way to decline patches that apply to specific Windows versions? For example, my organization does not use Desktop Central to manage our servers, only our end-user workstations. Therefore, none of the Windows Server patches will ever be needed. I know that I can decline all patches for third-party apps, like Mozilla Firefox or WinSCP, by going to "Patch Mgmt > Patches > Decline Patch" and selecting the product I want to decline patches for. Is there a similar way to decline all patches
