i have a linux server and harddisk is over almost . but i received 1 alert , i would like ap can remind me 10 times per minute or 10 times per hour .

Linux monitoring through SSH
I have just started to create Red Hat Enterprise Linux monitors with SSH. I have noticed that on one of my servers that it works great. However on another server it will not pull out any information for System Load or disk Utilization, and this so happens to be what we actually want to monitor on the server. Any Ideas. Thanks, John

Does AppManager support Secure Telnet using SSL?
I have an AIX (5.2) server I want to monitor. The application running on it is configured to accept secure Telnet connections only. Standard TELNET is disabled, and SSH is not currently an option. The AIX monitor only has these two options. Can I use Secure Telnet some other way? Thanks

Missed alerts
Hello, We are running Applications Manager (Build No:7102). The other day I had one of our production application servers go un-responsive for 20 minutes. Appmanager should have alerted us when it detected no response from the server. However we didnt receive the alert notification for 20 minutes. Normally, Appmanager detects faults and send out alerts and executes any recovery scripts just fine. What would cause the 20 minute delay in sending out alerts? Email queue was NOT backed up in our system.

I tried to set up a file monitor using the File/Directory monitor. It doesn't seem to work. All it tells me is that the resource is down, but it isn't. There is a file there. It just can't reach it. this is a remote server. I put in the userid/passwork and ssh. How can I debug an error like this. The file is there. Is there any more detailed documentation besides the User Guide?

I have the polling interval down to 1 minute on my monitors (it would be great if I could go lower in some cases) which is ok, the problem I am having is with the historical data it seams to average this out over one hour. Granular reporting
Hi there, I would like to get some more granular reports out of App Manager than the hourly reports that are currently available. In particular, I have configured an attribute of a JBoss monitor to capture the number of active sessions every 5 minutes. I would like to be able to report on this attribute in such a way that I can see how the number of active sessions increased or decreased over say a 2 hour period. Simply having an hourly average is not very helpful when we are doing load testing
Database Query for AlarmView

Script monitor just stopped working
I have configured a simple Script Monitor which was working perfectly for weeks. It executes a batch file (which does nothing - it is called doNothing.bat). Then it reads the contents of a log file and reads a numeric value. It has been working fine for a while now, polling every 10 minutes, 24/7. Then today, it just stopped working - it says: Health Resource is down. Health is critical as the resource is not available It is still reading the log file which is good, but it seems to be having
Support Tab Graphs
Hello, I had to change the monitors for the AppManager, both the server and the MYSQL DB. Now under the support tab the graphs are blank. I know I need to change the id of the monitors for that page, but I cannot find the source page to make that change. does anyone know the file that needs to be adjusted. Thanks.
WMI Access
Hi, when I tried to configure a windows monitoring by WMI AppManager return an error with this message Kindly check whether the RPC Server is running in the System.Also check whether the selected OS Type is correct. Refer Troubleshooting for more reasons and solutions for them. The RPC and WMI services is running, if I try to connect via telnet from the server where run AppMananger to the server that I want to monitor (port 445 for WMI and port 135 for RPC) I heaven't any problem. Any suggestion?
Customised monitoring
A couple of questions please.... 1) We have our own custom application which we need to monitor, we handle all code so can integrate a solution - my question is is it possible to customise within AppManager or must we write to the event log and create custom reports/alerts from this? 2) If it is the event manager solution, what is the lag from our application writing to the event log and AppManager picking it up and flagging as an issue? 3) Are you able to customise the way the dashboard and reports

Resource down
Hello, we have the following problem: Without any changes, 11 of our 210 monitors show their health as red. In the detail view thy show "Health is critical as the resource is not available". But the system is available: I can see CPU / Memory and Disk Utilization and I can see free disk spaces. Editing the monitor did not help. Update from V 8.3 to V 8.4 did not help. A database repair did not help. It was only helpfull to delete one monitor and then install it again. The the health was green too.
String in Script Monitor
Hi everybody, Can you tell me the format of the data we can put in our output of script Monitor please ? Is it possible to put some blank caracters ? What is the maximum lenght for a string in an arry ? We try to buid array in the script monitor with a column with some string which have some blank caracters and perhaps too long. Nothing appears! Group Alerts
Hi We have created groups in this order, CompanygroupName then Systemarea_subgroup then Subgroups -Production,Dev and Test, So within the Production dev and test subgroups are the associated servers. These groups are created on a admin node with multiple monitoring nodes reporting to the admin node. We want the alert to give the Systemarea_Group Name, Server Name and critical attribute eg, cpu utilization. Please advise how we go about this. Thanks

Monitor HTTP Url Sequence still working after being deleted
Hello, To try some reponse time on some big forms I created a monitor "HTTP URL sequence" in category "Server/Webservices" So, every polling time, the form is posted and it work fine. This is awesome ! The problem appears after i deleted the sequence : this is still working ! After a server reboot, the problem appears to be solved. Support for disk monitoring using SMART under Linux
