Hi, I have created a MS SQL Database Server monitor and would like to alert based on the results of a query. For example: select count(*) from [db].[queue]; The SQL Server Management page says "SQL server monitoring has the ability to connect to the database source, process any query received in the database..." which suggests that I should be able to run queries and therefore do what I would like to do. Service fails to start after boot
Hi, I have eventlog analyzer and application manager running on their own database. The applications work fine but the service for application manager fails to start. Is there any dependency that I need to configure so that the service can start normally? I can't have an application manager service that fails to read performance information from other servers...

We use application manager as a reporting tool and also to find the performance related issues in weblogic integration servers ( Clustered enviroment ) In the ManageEngine Application Mgnr 8, I have the default monitors which says about the health statistics etc for each managed server in the cluster. When I select the reports tab in the application, then select the proper monitor ( managed server here in select box ) i get all the statistics regarding that managed server...i.e Summary Report

Hi, Im running AppManager 9.9005 and have some issue. When the server reboots, i need logon a run startApplicationsManager.bat file to start monitoring. I'm working with Windows 2003 R2 SP2 and "Manager Application Manager" service are Automatic state and running. Thanks.

Application Manager 9.10 windows to linux
Hi, I download application manager 9.10 and I am been probing this version for windows. I have configured my entire network, and now I would like to probe the linux version (linux plataform). I already install the same version in a linux machine. I try to make a backup in the windows machine, and then restore data in the linux machine but doesn´t work. How can I do this? It´s posible? New or modified Monitor Group Availability Reporting option
A modified "Services Group" option that would have the ability to add a Weight or Score value to each individual monitor for a given Monitor Group. This custom value would allow us to set monitor importance/dependency for that particular monitor group, default would be 0% and an unlimited total for all monitors combined. Hi, Can some one point me to some documents or help me understand the internal working of application manager. Say for example, In tomcat server what does response time in ms mean? Is it the time taken for a request coming from a different client to get processed or does the application manager ping the server to measure the response time? AppManager monitoring output for external page
Hello, I need to have a monitor status on a company page. This page is used by users to view infos regarding some processes. I would like to add also info about our servers status which is monitored by the AppManager. The problem is that I need to show the status only in simple way, not as it is in the AppManager. Is there a plugin or a way how to solve this? How to link AppManager to HTML popup so it will just show two messages. Server Running, Server Down, etc. Many Thanks for your help. Pavol

Hi, I'm working in a company that supply manager services and hosting to many customers (that include many servers, databases, applications) The most important kpi that we have to delivery to our customers monthly is the uptime. Hello, is it possible to create a pop up on a page, which will take server status from application manager?is there a plugin for this or any possibility how to do that? Adding Thresholds To Multiple Script Monitors
I'm attempting to add thresholds to a group of script monitors I have in bulk. My process for doing so has been to go into one of the individual monitors then to "configure alarms" for the given attribute, then checking the box to "apply to selected monitors" and selecting those that apply. The threshold configuration appears to hold on the individual monitor but ignores all others that I had selected to apply to as well. There are approximately 65 monitors in total to which I am attempting to apply

Managing AppManager Credentials
Is there a way in AppManager to manage the credentials for connecting using SNMP or WMI? Currently, I am entering the SNMP community and/or WMI access persmission into each device/server record. When I need to change the credentials I need to visit every record in the system. Our security policies require these change at regular intervals so this is becoming a real problem for 250 servers. I know in OpManager I can set them in one place and map them to devices - can this not be done in AppManager?

appmanager truncating hostnames
We are running applications manager 8.6 (latest build). We experience the following problem: When adding a new remote host (eg. during the addition of a script monitor), if you enter a hostname that is (presumably) too long, it truncates the hostname - so thisisalongh.ostnamefor.com became "thisisalongh.ostnamefor.c".
Windows Mount Points
Is it still not possible to monitor disk space usage on Windows mount points? We have had to switch to mount points as we are out of drive letters on a file server and AppManager does not see the mount points. If it is possible, please let me know how to do it. Thank you!

I had to move one of my managed app manager installs to a new server due to a hardware crash. I installed the program, copied a backup of the AMDB folder & ran repairdb.bat, but the service won't stay started. Is there something else I need to do?

Applications Manager 9: request of explanation on actions
Kind Sirs, I need some explanation on Actions. Are Actions triggered each time a condition appears, or the first time? Then they stop being triggered unless the alarm is cleared? Let's say that I configure an action like sending an email at Monitor group level. If the group has some kind of Error or Warning, does it mean that the email will just be sent once, even if other alarms are triggered later in the same group? Can you please explain? Many thanks

Monitors of Application Manager
I have a question about the application manager, it appears that we have 6 applications, of which 1 is the management console and have the Enterprise edition. We have the 1000 package to include monitors but I am not sure if I can place 1000 monitors for each application or are 1000 monitors by adding all the applications that we have (ie the sum of the application 1, 2, 3 .. etc). Data not recorded in Script Monitor
Hi I now have lost 3 days of data on one of my script monitors. The output file is refreshed correctly with new data every time the monitor is run, but in Application Manager, only -NA- is displayed. And in last 7 days, the latest data is 3 days old. Help appreciated.
SQL Server 2005 install
Had to manually create a couple tables: AM_SearchKeywordsColumnsMapper and AM_SearchResultsHandler. I'm guessing that SQL server has case sensitive column names, so have capitalized installer has: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( ID BIGINT NOT NULL, ... had to change to: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( id BIGINT NOT NULL, ... After that, the stderr.log file fills up with a bunch of invalid column names, and all the services stop. I'm switching to trying a MySQL install instead.
App Manager Disk Utilization Error
We keep getting the following critical alert on windows 2003 servers: The disk partition DiskUtilization-D: is removed.Kindly delete it using 'Delete Removed Disk' When we log into the server there are no errors in the event logs and the partitions are 100% fine. SAP CCMS add-on: attribute name not reporting the complete ccms path
Hello, I've noticed that AppManager doesn't report the complete path for an attribute. For example (look at the attachment) I have in my CCMS tree several "Free space" attributes for each Oracle tablespace. The "Monitor Information" area display a generic "Free space" attribute in alarm, not the complete path.
