Simple Powershell Script to Add the Disabled Date in the Description Field
Hello, I am fairly new to scripting and I am attempting to build a simple PowerShell script to add the date an account was disabled into the description field. I have the script listed in the Disable policy as follows: powershell C:\ManageEngine\ADManager Plus\bin\SetDescriptionDisabledDate.ps1 -Arg1 %username% This is what I have for the script: #Importing Module Import-Module Activedirectory #Get Current Date $str=Get-date -Format d #Set the description to read the current date the account is disabled
Domain name AD different then e-mail domain name
In ADManager Plus only the domain name of the AD domain is listed when adding an e-mail adress. Is there a possibility to add some extra names to this list without any connections to these domains?

ADManager Termination Process: Moving a mailbox using a powershell script in Automation
Hi folks, I'm try to automate our termination process. I just spoke with Santos about the possibility of moving this account using standard selections, which he said was not possible at this time and put in a feature request. However, is is possible to put a Powershell script to move a mailbox within the Automation Policy using the Custom Script? User Home Folder: DFS supported?
Hi there I'm currently configure my first user creation template and trying to figure out how I can configure the homefolder when we use DFS. For example: It should connect to \\mycompany.com\dfspath\userhome\%username% as home folder and create a new share, But when I set that, it takes mycompany.com as server name. Can I change that? Suspending G Suite Accounts
I see that this feature was made available in build 6510 but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. I disabled an account in ADManager and the account disabled in AD but not G Suite. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Is there a built-in "enable" process to match the "disable" process?
There is a defined disable/delete policy to move/delete home folder, hide email address in the GAL, etc. After I run that process against a user to disable them and a week later their manager says "we hired them back" or "they actually just converted from contractor to employee and never should have been disabled", is there a process I can allow a technician to run to undo everything from the disable process (assuming I didn't delete anything)?

Greetings! I've recently updated AD Manager Plus to the latest version with the Notification Profile option. However we don't use the Manager attribute in our Active Directory. Instead I've tried to include email address to which the account information is supposed to sent in the CSV-file linked to the automation task, and take that email address as a parameter to a powershell script. ISSUE: Automated task to modify users via template
We have started a new program on site where past users are coming back into our system. I created a template to update their AD account with settings for Active Users and move them to a new OU. When I run the template with Modify Bulk Users using the same CSV I use in the automation task, I get to select the search criteria and the update criteria. However in the automation process I do not have this option resulting in what appears to be a user lookup by last name. This is problematic as its changing

After our recent update to the latest build there seems to be an issue when renaming a user account. In the past we could update a users sAMAccountName,UserPrincipalName and Full Name from within ADManager. However after the update the changes do not stay.
Modify User Templates
I have some existing users and want to modify some O365 elements but there do not appear to be any O365 elements on any of the templates and it doesn't look as though I can add them as a new template either. Is this the case? I want to add a remote mailbox element to the user as they were created in AD manually and then an O365 mailbox created. They have no remote mailbox attribute so do not show up in my Exchange Admin Console on prem as we are in a hybrid type state at the moment. Many thanks DrD

Hello, I've created a Powershell script that run only on successful user creation. I need to pass the newly created username to this script in the command line using a variable. Is there a way I can pass the newly created user account values to my Powershell script? I've tried %USERNAME% but that it's not working. My script works perfectly when it's executed outside of ADManager but not when it's run by ADManager. I guess it's because I'm not using the right variable. Thanks
Moving multiple users between multiple OUs via CSV
Trying to do some AD cleanup and need to move multiple users around between multiple OUs. All the users in the csv file will not be in the same source OU, nor will the users all be going to the same destination OU. My csv file has the destination OU for each user. Setting Home Folder directory using Modificatio Rules
I created a new user modification template to change user attributes and have the template add a Home Folder using the Modification Rules. Hass any one had any issues when applying the a template to an user and the Home Folder was not modified. I can set other AD attributes such as group memberships, description and department. Is there a way to block Swedish letters when creating an user account with a template?
I'm using templates in AD Manager Plus to create user accounts and we are using "UMLAUT" to replace Swedish letters from UPN, E-mails and other attributes. (Marked with red lines, see picture.) But the First and Last name will keep the Swedish letter. (å, ä and ö) Is there a way to block these letters already in the First and Last name attribute instead of having "UMLAUT" on naming rules on UPN and E-mail attributes? I am automating our User creation process. I have several templates for various types of users. What I would like to do is only have one CSV file and based on the Title attribute assign a particular user creation template. Currently I have 1 csv and automation job for each user type. How do manager update Membership list
I have assign a manager to a group in order to update the member list. I have also provided a security role to the manager to allow Read/Write of the specific group. But I don't see how the manager can edit the list, unless he has a technical role in the tool. Seeing as there are hundreds of Manager, that would not scale-up, if we needed a technician role for every manager, just to update the memebership of their group.
