Move user profile (delete user)
Dear sir/madam, Is it possible to export the content of the "user profile folder" to a network location automaticallly when i delete a user account in ad manager plus. In the current version it is possible to backup/move a "home folder" but i also need to backup/move the old user profile (fat clients) and user profile (citrix tsprofile). For example i have the following content that needs to be moved after deleting a user: 1. home: \\dc\home\%username% 2. profile: \\dc\profiles\%username%.V2 or %username%.V6
Auto send mail to new create user in AD manager
Dear All I'm new in using admanage, I would like to configure to auto send mail to new create user, e.g user name is David Johnson, email address is david.j@dns.com, and the subject is "Welcome on-board David Johnson", after configuration the mail can successfully send to user, but the subject is showing "Welcome on-board david.j@dns.com"
User creation template creation rules no longer work
We use creation rules to fill out a bunch of areas (phone number and address) when creating a new user. I'm not sure after which upgrade this happened but it no longer works while it worked ok before. Nothing happens when the rule should be triggered (when the Office field has certain content). I know we can add our own "weak" passwords to the password patterns txt file. My question is, how does ManageEngine keep that original list provided updated with the changing world and how do those updates get delivered to people using the weak password tool?

Does ADManager Plus support wildcards in the Selection Criteria fields in Automation? For example, I would like to be able to search for items that start with numbers, or do not contain certain characters.

Hi ! Question, I want to add to my user template a button or radio button or checkbox who can change the user's group. it's for apply licence to users. So if the checkbox is Checked, the user is in some group, else the user is in another group. I want to put this in the Creation template and the modification template for the user. Manager is removed when User Modification run
Hi there, When modifying a user the Manager is cleared. I see in the Contact tab that Manager is greyed out even if the user has a manager in AD. Is this intentional? I want to be able to get the manager and do something with it in the custom script run after modifying a user but by the time it runs it's already cleared the manager. Load balancing
i have an HA pair of AD Manager App Servers that sit behind a load balancer. My LB is setup to look for a specific file, and then return a favorable HTTP response code to determine the Up/Down Status of the pair. I need to place this file in root of AD Manager Plus's web directory, but I am not able to determine the appropriate location. Has anyone else configured a F5 health monitor to work with AD Manager?

Bug: AD Manager Created User Report uses UTC, not localized time
So, just found a bug in how reports are created and learned something new about AD in the meantime. I am in EST (-5 GMT). If I create a user today at 10:00 PM and even open that user and view the "when created" of the object, it would show me 9/17 , 10:00 PM. BUT, if you open the account, go to the attribute tab and scroll down to "whenCreated", you will visually see "9/17, 10:00PM" but if you double-click the attribute, it suddenly shows use UTC, so now the account is showing that it was created
Updated to newest AD Manager Plus
I updated to the newest version of ADManager Plus, now I don't see the passwords when creating new users and using the Random Password choice. I only see *****, I really need to know the password. Also, I do not like the new display of adding and removing security groups/AD objects. The new way shows a horizontal view to remove, then to add, takes to a new view, where scrolling and using the page button. Is there a way to create a user template in ADManager Plus that will have fields to Register the moble number and email address for ADSelfservice Plus? I don't want the mobile number to go into the contacts. I only want it for Selfservice registration. The email would also not be their primary email it would also be for registration.
Add a users AD "description" field to the unlock user portion of AD Manager
When I pull up a user under unlock users, there's "fullname, First name, Logon name,expiry, status and last logon. I would like to add the users AD "description field" to this list. Is there any way to do that?
Automation History
Is it possible to archive or delete old automation history's? I have several automations that have been running every 15 minutes for the last couple of years when I try to run execution history I get 'fetching automation history' but nothing is returned. In the conditions of the user modification rules, I can not use custom attributes? Why? This is available to create a new user, but is not available for user modifying.

Assigning O365 license - possible bug
When we go into ADManger Plus and O365 Manager Plus and try to assign licenses to recently created user accounts (more than 24 hours old) they do not show up in the user list. If we go into our Microsoft portal and manually add the license the user shows up in the list immediately. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi all, when setting up ADmanager plus in Domain Settings, and I edit domain settings, can I use a generic user account for authentication or do i need to set up an anonymous account that has domain admin settings, OR does Admanager just take the AD credentials of the logged in technician, when they choose to edit/create/delete users? thnaks Chris

Any reason why using %name% in notification templates do not work when I am modifying a user? I would like the manager to get a email notification when a change is made to their employee's profile. Create new single user templates work just fine. Thanks!
Where can I see Long-Running Automation Task Running
There was a log file in the manageengine logs directory called ADMangLog_2018-08-03.txt but then I upgraded to the latest build and now nothing is written to it. So now, not only does the interface not show me a task that is still executing, I don't even have a log file that I can reference. So I have a task that is running, but can't tell if it is running or how far a long it is unless I click "Run Now" again and I am told it is still executing. Any insights or log files would be great.
Automation Policy with Regenerated Report
I am trying to setup an automation policy for De-provisioning users using a regenerated report. It is a basic policy that disables users in a specific OU and deletes them at a later date. The policy runs on a report of all users in that specific OU. The issue I am running into is that the delete happens on all users in the initial report even if I move them out of that OU before the delete happens. My understanding is that the regenerated report run at the time of the delete should not include users
Missing some security events
ADManager is missing some security events like created users, disabled users. I think it's because active directory doesn't have those events activated. How do I actívate those events?
