Op manager doesnt know if the service restarted
Hello, We're monitoring a windows based service named X with opmanager. When this X service fails it restarts itself in 6 seconds just because it's a live service and it's supposed to restart it self very quickly. However sometimes even the service fails opmanager cant alert it fails because it restart too quickly. We really need a solution regarding to this as we cant know if the service is restarted or not within day. Regards.

Hey as time go forward i notice that skill of writing small programs/scripts that would do one job for many for example device templates. i see that it will be very usefull propably all the way with this managing art piece. So for example how i should approach this thing. I would like to set up notification profile to 60 devices. I have in execl all data to know how is responsible for a server and what is email to him. Can someone help a bit? i am fresh programer i know java for now.
Workflow for URL
Hi Team, We are tried to create workflow for our Internal URL link to check only connectivity or to know status of it. I tried to create new workflow but i didn't found such option over there. there are several link which we have to monitor in one workflow. Script Templates for cpu,ram, disc space monitoring and allerting via e-mial if 80% threshold
As in a topic i need script for my device that would allow me automation seendning notification whene 80% treshhold on cpu, ram usage or disc space occure. I write with hope that some wise kind person ( :-) ) would help with writint adequate script. Aks me if you need more information or just help mi do it on my own. I need this for linux and windows.

i am having some problem with this approach. I set up the threshold values for monitors on devices templates. i added notification profile selecting option that should generate emial whenever any threshold value is excced but it dose not seems to work and i have no idea what could have gone wrong. any ideas ?

Remove devices automatically after set period of inactivity
Hi, Is it possible to automate the removal of inactive devices after a set amount of time of inactivity? As an example, if I have a Hyper V server that I decommission, it will flag the host as offline and subsequently all VM's on it too. Is it possible to create a workflow that can run on schedule or perhaps a trigger (30 days of inactivity) that can remove the machines from Opmanager? thanks
NETAPP aggregate info wrong
I have OpManager 12 monotring NETAPP 2240 filer and I ma getting following alert Aggregate Used Percentage for .9 is 62 %, threshold value for this monitor is 60 % I checked Netapp stats and aggregate is using 44% while one of the volumes is actually at 62%. It seems that "Aggregate used percentage" thresholds are for some reason applied to volumes as well. Any idea?

VCenter Events OpManager 12.2
I am currently using OpManager 12.2 and Im currently taking advantage of the VCenter monitoring. Daily there is thousands of Events that come in for informational events in for the VCenter Servers. I see in OpManager Database maintenance I can set how many alarms to keep in the database. How to do I control how many "Events" to keep in the database.

Hi, I see couple of cisco devices in critical state.I can ping the device, SNMP and credetial test is passing through.I am even able to backup the config. How can i see log for which device is in critical state!!
Central not Syncing to Probes 12.2
Has anyone on here had a problem with verson 12.2 Enterprise with the Central not syncing with probes? Initially everything seemed to be working. But now when we add new servers to the Probes they do not show up in the Central. Central will continue to get data from previous servers added to the probes. But not any new ones. I currently have a ticket open but they are still looking at logs and I'm kinda stuck this weekend. No firewalls, same subnet. Shows connected in Probe details. Looking

V12.200 - VMWare Events not alerting
Have been testing monitoring of VMWare events from vCenter. While OpManager sees the entire VMWare environment through vCenter fine, simple events like the migration of a VM do not generate an alert. We've tested this over and over today, with no results. Even powered off a VM, the only alert was from WMI and ICMP as the windows server was offline. - Ross Townsend
V12 lack of intuative configuration documentation
We migrated to v12 and like most migrations within the OPManager platforms, it was painful. This time, I fear its been irreversibly damaging to our DB. I liked the added feature of vCenter Auto Discovery, however I don't believe it ingested the existing devices in a healthy manner. If I go to a device within the vCenter inventory and try to start monitoring it, there's a prompt to add an IP. When I try and add that IP (which should have already been known during the auto discover of an existing devices),
Invalid License File errorCode ERROR CODE : 501
After rebooting the server OpManager won't start and I get a error 501 Invalid License file. I have version 9 of OpManager. Last time this server was rebooted was back in August of last year with no problems. The only thing different was that I added more memory to the server.
Custom Dials relocating to correct title header
Good morning I have attached a screenshot of normal dashboard for a rds server. I have switched on several dials but they all seem to be populating under custom instead of the correct title. For example the disk usage dial should be under disk title but is instead under custom. Can we move the dials? Am i doing something wrong with the dials like choosing incorrect ones? Maybe version 12.2 has a nice view but we prefer a working tool. It is slow very slooooooowwww. No afther some weeks a lot of devices are gone. Now we had to start over again to fill the tool we want to know is it possible to get back to 11.6.

Windows Service Monitors Empty List
I am trying to setup a proof of concept where I am trying to monitor the failure of a particular Windows service. I have a Desktop PC running Windows 10 (target) and a laptop running Windows 10 (Server). There is no domain setup on both. I have added the desktop to OPmanager and successfully setup SNMP as well as WMI. The test credentials shows as a success. If I go to the monitor tab and select windows service monitors and then add a service, I will get an empty list. Isnt there suppose to be a
