I need to know whenever my windows server based device is shutdown so i tryed to do this by seting up notification from event log rules "System is shud down" form security. I thnik i have done everting right but when my server went down yesterday i did not get any email notification and this did not occure on event log alarms. Can you tell me would be possible reason for this not working at all ?
