Hi I have noticed that OpManager is not fully supported in Windows 2008. When the service starts it try to start Internet Explorer, resulting in this dialog. (see dialog.jpg) If I click View the message, a Opmanager login screen is shown. See Result.jpg Why does the service display the login screen? I have seen this error in ADManager too. Assign performance monitors?
I would like to be able to monitor CPU, Memory, Hard Disk IO and Space, and Bandwidth for all servers, and the CPU/Memory/Bandwidth for Network devices... Is there an easier way than going one by one each monitor and setting thresholds for every monitor, then setting alerts for going over the thresholds? 5 monitors X 157 servers = 785 Monitors X say.... 30 seconds each monitor, thats a full 6 hours to set up monitoring... and thats just the servers/virtual servers...

Opmanager 10, IBM BladeCenter Cisco Hardware Sensors
Upgraded to Omanager 10 yesterday. Appreciate the fixes. However posting regarding every bladecenter we have (5) alerting for Cisco BladeCenter Switch Hardware Sensor Alerts. "Hardware Sensor Name : chassis. Category : fan. Current State : warning(2) - The sensor is operating outside the normal operating range" Its unlikely that we truly have a problem with every blade switch, honestly I would not be surprised if these switches are fan-less, because of the monstrous fans which exist in the IBM

Opmanager and Chrome V26
Support, Chrome v26 breaks the opman interface. See attached. All common sense says this is Google's fault, but you can be pretty sure they aren't going to fix it, so we need you to fix it please? Same issue on Versions 9.4 and 10. Tried IE10 but the IEPulse tab doesn't work. Won't use Firefox - the bloated crashing pile that it is.... Thanks, Dean
SQL Logfile Used % showing very large number
We are using OpManager to monitor our SQL servers. We have a database that is being mirrored that we are trying to monitor but it is not working properly. When we look at "Logfile Used %" it is showing "9223372036854776000 %" used, on the primary server of the mirror it shows as "4 %." I tried removing the mirrored copy from OpManager and added it back, however it still shows this large number. The log file size is only 150 MB. Any ideas on how to correct this?
Polling interval issue with Opmanager build 10
Ever since I installed the new Opmanager build 10 , my interface polling has been set at every two hours. I had all my interfaces polling at five minutes before the upgrade and I cant seem to bring the polling time back down. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi, URL monitor in workflow doesn't work correctly: if you try to check public URL like google.com or cisco.com, either with Get or Post method, the site doesn't respond (Host Unavailable error) However, the same function in URL "dashboard" monitor works out.

I am trying to use this guide: http://www.wmaus.net/wordpress/?p=960 to make custom SNMP traps. I have everything working on the Linux side. but the way the OID is generated is random, so the OID isn't in the MIB. I can't see how to monitor the OID because its not listed. Any advise?

Hello, in the device details, I've created a custom filed called Location and would like to know if there is a way to populate this field automatically using snmp: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.6 - sysLocation? Is it possible to show the site name beside the servername?
I would like to see the site name on the central server beside the servername on the alerts list. Is there an option to show this? With 500 devices an 10 sites, it is not easy to see directly on which site the server is. Thanks Jo

opmanager 10 slow, not usable
Hi all, we've just installed OpManager 10, last release. Now we're monitoring about 180 devices. All of the sudden, the web interface has become very slow: about 10 minutes after service start, it becomes simply unusable (it takes about 20 minutes to login). We've tried several things, we've disabled interactive service detection (both disabling win service and editing the opmanager xml file), we've tried to tune the postgres db (increasing the memory buffer and so on), but the issue still persists.

cannot connect in credential using telnet
Hi, I have a problem on using a credential telnet when im using my modem(Zyxel P-2612HWU-F1) also known as wifi modem the connection cannot be succeeded even you input the correct password. but if im using a putty it can be connected. I think the difference is when im using the putty it is not asking for username, only password but in the credential it requires username.
SMS Notification (on-call scheme)
We use an on-call rotation scheme. Where each week another engineers mobile phone will receive the notifications. Since this is not a feature in the current version of OpManager, we hacked ourselveves a solution by altering the the contents of the database. This seems to work for escalations but not for notifications. If I go to notifications and save it, it'll work. When i use the "List View" of a "Bussines View" before the Name of de Device appears a 18x18 icon, for example, for cisco, but for other types of devices OpManager use a "unknown" default icon. Ping timeout
Hi, I was trying to get my ping timeout to more than 1 second trough the ping.properties -file (\OpManager\conf\Ping.properties). I have done this before and it has worked like the documentation has said. Now after some new updates (9410 and now 10), the timeout value seems to have no effect? All the devices with timeout over 1 second are "device not responding", even if the value has been changed to 4 seconds. I have restarted the server so the new value should be used. How to detect an application “freeze”
I have OpManager build 9400. Is there a way to detect when a application “stalls” or “locks up / freezes”. Since the service / application is still running I cannot use the Process Monitors.
