We have a reboot script for serval server starting at 03.00, what is see now is that some of the server are rebooting at 08.00 in stead of 03.00. How is this possible?

Hi, i want monitor my 4 ESXi VMware Server. I put the credentials of all 4 Servers in OpManager, but i can only see 1 VMware Host and max. 10 Virtual Server. Is a limitation on the 30 Day Trial version? Regards Dirk
Install OpMannager
Hi, I install the OpManager 9 on Windows 2008 R2, but the Installation hangs. After 4 hours the Installation is not ready. I force a reboot at the system and it's look like the OpManger runs. Is there a bug in the setup routine? Regards Dirk
Device already present in the system
Hi there, Having issues with "Add Device" under the Admin tab. It returned "Device already present in the System". Opmanager ver: 10000 VM Instances: Win2k8R2 ESXi ver: 5.1 Vcloud Director: 5.1 For example our production environment VM instance is named ABC123. Our test/Dev environment (which a copy of production environment in Vcloud director) which also has server named VCD-123 with long hex code name). Both have the same IP addresses. Initially I deleted the VCD-123 version and added ABC123 probably.
Monitoring OPmanager 9
Hello, We have experienced the situation where when we attempt to log into opManager, we realize that we cannot access the webserver for the application. We usually reboot the host server to resolve this issue but the main issue is that we were had no way of knowing that there was an issue with op manager. The service was running and it is only an internal site so no .com monitoring. Do you have any recommendations for getting notified when the opmanager application fails?
Trap Processors
Hi Is it possible to programmatically create trap processors for OpManager (e.g. via a script)? I have a number of notifications and traps that I am currently loading in via the MIB, but this means that the end user then has to go and edit each of the traps to display only the variables that they wish to see (or that we wish them to see). E.g instead of the default message for the trap processor I would like to use something like: [$Source] $5 $6 $7 or [$Source] $7 $8 $9 depending on
SNMP Problem on Red Hat Linux Server
Hi, I have configured OpManager with NetFlow on a Red Hat Linux Server. I haven't problem with Netflow. It's work fine. My problem is with SNMP. It doesn't work. I have configured SNMP on the router. This configuration works with Windows Server. With Red Hat linux server, I can't receive the SNMP Polling. My question is: 1: Do I have to enable a particular service on Red Hat Linux Server? 2: Do I have to configure Red Hat Linux Server in a particular mode? 3: Is it necessary to have on Red Hat Linux
Domain Controller not show AD information
I have a Domain Controller, but the OpManager doesn't show the AD information. WMI and SNMP shows OK. The container DomainController was deleted in the past, the i recreated. But is not working.
Problem with start OpManager 10.0 on Windows 2008 R2

Vmware OPmanager 9 add host: webservices error
Hi, I am trying to add a host in OPmanager 9. I already have a host in OPmanager and the host I'm trying to add used to be in OPmanager, but was deleted. When I try to add this host back in, with the same credentials used before and on the working manager host, I get an error: Couldn't fetch information from webservices I can browse to the host over the web, so I know that the webservices are working. I can't figure this out. Thanks

Optimal Threshold Value for Disk Read Latency (Millisecond)
Hi, I would like to ask "What is the optimal threshold value for Disk Read Latency (Millisecond)?" I have OPManager 9 installed and default Disk Read Latency (Millisecond) threshold value for monitoring is set to "50" which is very low and I am getting critical alerts due to that. Hi, the customer has several Cisco Catalyst 2960 and 3560 switches. I discovered them using OpManager version 10. All of them have been discovered as "Router" and "Cisco Device". This is a mistake... Ping a device
Hi, Good Morning. I would like to perform ping test from a device to many other ip based device. Currently i could see ping test happens with only the devices which are added in the OpManager. But, as like URL Monitors under Admin page, i want to know whether OpManager has an option to add IP address (not as a device) for a continues ping test and alert if it is not responding. Device Template for Response Time Monitor
Dear All, is there an opportunity to implement the "Response Time Monitor" into a device template such as "windows 2003"? Or do I have do set these settings (e.g. threshold or alarm setting) for each device manually? Or maybe there is a resource monitor which implements the same function, testing whether a device is responding and how long the delay is? Thanks for you help! Greets Markus

Hi there, Failed CPU test, please refer to the info below: Opmanager build no. 9410 Target VM - Win2k8 R2 Passwords verified okay using SNMP/WMI - tested credential, no issues. Loaded the following counters: CPU, Disk utilization, memory dutlization and partition details on C% All test monitors came good with the exception of CPU test utilization. It resulted: The monitor did not respond to the test request. Redirect HTTP to HTTPS on OpManager (Build 9101)
Hi everyone, I have enabled https access on my OpManager on port 443. The action automatically disabled the original http service on port 80. Is there a way that would allow the server to automatically redirect future http requests to the new https service (so that if users do visit the existing http URL, they get automatically redirected instead of rejected)? I have tried looking for ways to tweak the web server's settings, but was not able to locate the settings file (e.g. http.conf) of OpManager's
Vmware site recovery
Hi I have 3 ESXi 5.1 servers at my main site and 3 at my 2nd site. The 2nd site has 6 live VM's and is also used as the site recovery point. Whenever we run a site recovery test (every month) OpManager picks up the live VM's from my main site as now being hosted on the 2nd sites hosts. Once the test recovery has completed and it is removed then the live VM's from the main site are shown as orphaned. This doesn't seem right to me. The only way that I can get them back is to remove the main site

Opmanager probe & redirection
Hello everybody, I've configured a central site and a secondary site (probe server). When I'me connected on the web interface of the central site, I can see all the devices on the secondary site, but when I click on a device, the central site redirect me on the web interface of the secondary site... I'd like to monitor all my devices in one web interface (few customers), there is way to do that (collect all the data ?, ...) I don't want to open port on firewall to customers to publish opmanager web
opmanager 10 issue in esx datastore discovery
Hi everyone, I'm encountering a strange issue in opmanager 10. Here's my infrastructure: I have 2 groups of esx hosts, each group is composed by 8 hosts (total 16 hosts). Every host of a group can see all the available datastores, but only a subset is mounted on each host (by vsphere client I'm able to see all the datastore, but most of them are correctly marked as unmounted). The issue is that when I discover the esx host by using opmanager, in the snapshot page of the host I can see all the datastores,
can SMS be used to input alarm states?
We are using OpManager 9200 (upgrading to 9400 or 10 this week). We have a mobine phone connected to the Central Server as a modem and send out SMS alerts for alarms. I have just bought a new device which monitors power states and sends SMS messages directly as alerts. Can the SMS alert be received by OpMan to trigger an alarm in the system? cheers Jon Don't blame the network!!

Hi, today I have installed OPManager on Red Hat 6 Server. It works very well; in fact I can go to web page and I can start to monitor my network. I have also bought NetFlow pluggin. I have installed it but it doesn't work. Apple and Printing Devices do not show DNS names or Device Types in IPAM
How can I get my apple products and printers (HP, Xerox) to show up in IPAM correctly? Right now, IPAM pulls the IP and MAC address but no names. I know they're not in my AD DNS but shouldn't they pull right from those devices? If I do an SNMP scan, the names are there.

Hi, I have a problem with custom scripts. After the monitoring service Opmanager is up scripts returns exit code zero and shows correct values. But after several hours after that the same scripts returns exit code 4 and stop collecting the data. This problem can be solved only by restarting the monitoring service. How have the same problem?
wan link monitoring
Dear Sir, Can we monitor wan link in opmanager? My scenario:- Router R1 is in delhi, Router R2 is in aligarh, Router R3 is in agra. R1 is directly connected to R2 and there is also a redundant path between R1 and R2 via R3. Now if link between R1 and R2 goes down and the route has been automatically updated. Now the traffic is routed via R3. Do we get alert for down link of R1 and R2?
