Collation error in opmanager v10000
Situation : I have a prod server which is installed opmanager v10000 (but was upgraded from version 6 to 7, 8, 9 and 10) I have another dev server which is installed v9 then upgraded 10. Both are with MySQL database installed, in english language, but I used to put some field with accent. To test new SP I used to backup the prod DB and restore it on the dev server. since a while,... i'm NOT able to restore my full database or configdata backup to my dev server, because I always get an error concerning
OpManager and Silent Option
Hello, I want to install OpManager using the "-silent" option. Unfortunately, I find no documentation allowing me to use this option. I guess this option needs to use a configuration file. What are the options / keywords that i can use in this configuration file? How can i specify this file to the silent option ? Maybe this file can be generated from a previous install realised in console mode ? Thank you for your help. RG.
Customize Widget
Currently widgets cannot be customized to remove or add fields. For instance we would love to use the CCTV feature to show our users what is going on in IT. However we can't remove or change the way server names are displayed in the existing widgets. This is important because: 1. We don't want to reveal the host names of our servers to users for security reasons but its important to IT to use the host names in OpManager for monitoring. 2. The hostnames would make no sense to most users anyways.
Notification Profile - "Probe down" not working
Hi I would like to create a association with my nofication profile on the central server, if "any Probe is down". This is not possible,because I have to assign it to a device. How can I do this? thx

Rack View - Blade Servers
Question: Is there a way to create a blade or "multi-node" system within a U-space? Example, I have a Quad-node system in a 2U platform, and each of these 4 nodes has a managed IP address. I do not want to show them as four servers in the rack view, I want to show four IP addresses attached to a single 2U system. (Specifically, these are four ESX hosts running within a Quad node 2U SMC server) The same would apply to "twin" systems, which would be two nodes running within a single 1U system etc etc.

Avaya ERS Memory Utilization from OID calculation
I am attempting to create a custom monitor that will provide Memory Utilization for Avaya ERS 45xx/5xxx switches. Avaya allows access to an OID for Total Memory (.1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.12) and one for Available Memory (.1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.3.8.1.1.13). I have created monitors for these individual OIDs to be sure the data is available and correct results are returned. OpManager Notification Settings
Has anyone had an issues where the notification settings changing on their own? One day the team goes through and sets up the alerts in the notifications and the next day they have changed and some items are unchecked. My team swears that no one touch them but I find it hard to believe they can change on there own? Any ideas? Thank you,

When will you implement it? I need Exchange 2010 support in my monitoring software. I like Opmanager and want to buy it for our company, but we use Exchange 2010. I´m thinking of searching at other monitoring softwares if Exchange support in OPmanager implementation is too far away in the future.
How to optimize BBDD and server performance?
Hi all, We are running Opmanager and Netflow Analyser in a 4 quadcore and 4GB RAM server. We are experiencing bad performance (about 1000ms to charge the web pages) so we want to improve this performace. Any idea? Another question is that currently we have the BBDD installed at c:\ where there is few free space, so how can we change the BBDD to another disk with enough space? regards, Christian

Hi, I see that you have started building monitoring functions into Opmanager to cover EC2 and Azure cloud infrastructure. Are you going to be doing the same for the Openstack platform? Virtual devices vs servers
Hey I have imported 3 of my 12 ESXi servers, and have gotten the virtual servers imported. Then i have moved my Exchange 2010 servers to "exchange", which caused the Exchange server object to be moved to "servers" instead. Is there a trade off, if I move all the servers (virtual devices) into servers instead ? Just so I have them all collected in one panel view....
Cisco Small Business SG500X-24p Switch
All, I have tried to get the Cisco SG500X-24P switch recognized by OpManager, but I am having no success. I have downloaded the mibs from the Cisco website, copied them to the opManager mibs directory. I have tried using the mib browser in the admin section of OpManager with no success. Does anyone have a template that I can import as I have had no success creating my own. Thanks
how can Opmanager alerts be sent to a GSM modem without serial port?

Opmanager as a VMware appliance
Hi, Have you guys thought of building / selling Opmanager as a VMware virtual appliance? Everytime I deploy a new Opmanager I have to go through the exact same repetitive tasks of building a server, updating it and then do the Opmanager, Netflow, IPAM etc. installs. Having an appliance that already has the default setup would make this faster and by far more supportable for your support teams. If they don't have to contend with "Where is the customers install directory" and " which OS are you using"

Allarm Managment
Hi, is possible to delete an allarm? I try to explain better... I have bought OpManager plus Netflow plugin. I have also monitored the ISP Router. I received a lot of error message about the Authentication SNMP from the ISP router. Permanently disable ads on the login page.
Hello Is there any way on the server side to stop the scrolling adverts on the log in page. When accessing Opmanager over a low bandwidth connection using RDP or Citrix it really slows down the log in process, and since the ads don't contribute anything to the functionality of the application I would like to disable them globally.

Hi, OPM showing Disk IO on Device snap shots till GBPS / TBPS but when i check disk IO graph it shows me in KBPS. Also, Disk read / write also showing in KBPS. Find the attached snap shots for clear understanding. Kindly advice regarding Device Snap Shot disk IO

About this functionalities of OpManager, it disables the setting in OPM and not on the switch? Or using this option will disable the port on the switch? How to disable switch ports? If you want to administratively disable an interface, it is possible with OpManager in just a few clicks. Here are the steps: Go to the required snapshot page of the interface you want to disable que. Under Interface tab, click the Disable button. The interface gets disabled and the interface's status is changed to Down.
Backup script - Press any key to continue
Hi, We try to backup OpManager by using a daily scheduled script. We are using the following command line: BackupDB_Postgres.bat" -mode all -destination c:\tempbck It's working fine, but... at the end of the backup "press any key to continue..." appears. Then next schedule failed because the current one do not finish while we presse a key. Is there any option to add to the command line ? Thanks a lot. Vincent

SNMP traps not regognized
Hello Im using free 10 device edition of Opmanager 10 I made fresh install. Earlier I was using version 9 and SNMP traps worked fine. I put mib files to mibs folder. Also in Trap processors add new trap processor from that mib. We had a working Probe, till we got the following problem: - The service is running - there are no errors in the Event viewer - java process is running - but a browser shows nothing. Hi, No matter what I do, I can't get passed "Please Wait" when pressing the test button. I'm using PsTools' PsService.exe to restart a service. I've tried both "Run System Command" & "Run Program" notification profiles. The command works find in the command line and when executed from a bat file. Run System Command Attempt 1: "C:\PsTools\PsService.exe \\mymovies-3 restart FMS" Works in a command line but just get "Please Wait" on the test button. No service restart. WMI for localhost service monitoring
i have opmanager probe server and would like to monitor the windows services. i already left the user name and password is empty in the credential. Then click "test credential", it return "WMI Not Tested" And i try to add "Windows services monitor", it request me input the credential again and did not success to add the "Windows services monitor" i am using opmanager build 10000

All SNMP monitors stopped responding
Hi, I've just noticed that all my servers stopped showing SNMP values. I've already checked: the credentials are correct SNMP is running restart of SNMP service on device doesn't help restart of opManager server doesn't help reading an SNMP value from opManager mibbrowser times out This has happened twice in as many days but the first time we were still able to read an SNMP value from the MIB Browser and then it randomly started working again. No one was in the system when the SNMP monitoring stopped.
