How to customize a predefined report in EventLog Analyzer
Objective
EventLog Analyzer offers option to build criteria or refine the predefined reports by adding filters and to save them as custom report. Adding filter offers you an option to filter out specific data based on the criteria that you build using the available fields for the report. This filtered report can be saved as custom report which serves as a customized predefined report in EventLog Analyzer.
This article offers you a step by step option to setup filters in predefined report to customize the predefined report based on your requirement.
Prerequisites
Access to EventLog Analyzer User interface to view & manage the reports.
Knowledge about the report and the data requirements to create filter
Steps to follow: How to customize a predefined report
Open EventLog Analyzer user interface.
Navigate to Reports tab and open the required predefined report. You can use the global search to search for the report name.
You can apply the filter in two ways.
Using filter option - Click the filter button to add the criteria.
Clicking the value to be filter from the row of the report - you can also click the value in the row to add it as criteria.
Once the filter is applied, choose Save as Report to convert the filtered report as custom report.
Offer a Report name and Report Group to have a better view.
Now the report has been created. These reports can be seen under Reports tab >> Custom Report, under the respective Report Group.
Tips
1. EventLog Analyzer predefined report criteria cannot be modified and are designed based on standard usage as per market requirements. You can reach the support team any time if you find any discrepancy in the predefined report criteria used with the following details:
Build number of EventLog Analyzer or Log360(if build number is above 13000)
Report name that you have identified as invalid criteria
Short description on the identification of discrepancy.
