How to schedule a report in EventLog Analyzer

Objective 

EventLog Analyzer enables you to automate the generation and delivery of reports through its Scheduled Reports feature. This helps ensure timely access to log insights without manual intervention. Reports can be scheduled at predefined intervals and delivered in formats like PDF or CSV to specified email addresses. This document provides step-by-step instructions of how to schedule a report in EventLog Analyzer. 

Steps to follow

Creating a new report schedule  

To create a new report schedule:
Step 1: Navigate to the Reports tab in EventLog Analyzer.
Step 2: Click on the Schedule Report option at the top-right corner of the page.
    • Alternatively, go to the Scheduled Reports section from the left pane and click +Create New Schedule in the top-right corner.
Step 3: In the Create New Schedule window:
    • Schedule Name: Provide a name for the report schedule.
    • Devices: Select the devices to be included in the report.
    • Reports: Choose the specific reports you wish to schedule.
    • Schedule Frequency: Choose how often the report should be generated:
      • Only Once
      • Hourly
      • Daily
      • Weekly
      • Monthly
    • Export Time Range: Define the time range the report should cover.
    • Report Format: Select the format (PDF or CSV).
    • Email Address: Enter the recipient email address.
    • Email Subject: Enter a subject for the email containing the report.
Step 4: Click Save to complete report schedule creation.

Managing existing report schedules  

To view or modify existing scheduled reports:
Step 1: Go to the Reports tab.
Step 2: In the left pane, scroll to the bottom and click on Scheduled Reports.
Step 3: You’ll see a list of all scheduled reports with options to:
  1. Edit: Click the pencil icon to update schedule settings.
  2. Delete: Click the trash icon and confirm the deletion.
  3. Disable/Enable: Use the check mark icon under the Actions column to toggle the schedule on or off.

 Tips

  1. While viewing any specific report, you can also click on Scheduled Reports → Add Schedule (top-right) to create a schedule directly from that view.
