How to create a custom report view in EventLog Analyzer

Objective  

EventLog Analyzer allows you to create multiple views of the same report. This enables you to view the report based on different parameters such as time, domain, source, etc. The different views will be generated from the same set of log data.
This article offers you the steps to create and configure a Custom Report View in EventLog Analyzer.

Prerequisites

Any OS/browser supported by EventLog Analyzer
User Permissions
Administrator or Report Management privileges in EventLog Analyzer
Dependencies
Reports you want to include must already exist (either predefined or custom)

Steps to follow  

Step 1: Access the Reports Section  
  1. Log in to EventLog Analyzer.
  2. Navigate to Reports from the top menu.
Step 2: Create a New Custom Report View  
  1. Click Custom Report View (visible under the Reports tab or as a sub-option).
  1. Select Add View.
Step 3: Define Report View Details  
  1. Enter a Name for the report view (e.g., "Logon Type View").
  2. Enter the fields based on which summary has to be populated in the views.
Example:
  1. Choose Add to add the view.

Validation and testing  

  • Go to Reports → Custom Report Views and open your newly created view.
  • Confirm that all selected reports appear in the view.
  • Verify that the reports display accurate, updated data.

Tips  

  1. Use descriptive view names for quick identification.
  2. Periodically review and update the view as reporting requirements change.
  3. You can edit the report view anytime to modify the fields used in the summary. Follow the below steps.
    1. Navigate to Respective Report and choose Manage Custom Views Button.
    1. Edit the custom view that you have created. You can also drag the Name to reorder them.
    1. Update the criteria used and choose the Update icon to save changes.
