How to remove computers and inventories that have not been scanned in xx days

Updating Assets
I imported assets using a CSV file but never included the vendor for the different assets. How would I go about updating the vendor field for the asset and non-it assets? If I was using SQL server I could do it with a sql script, but not sure how to do it with an xml file. ie: all OptiPlex pc would be vendor Dell, all printers would be HP, etc. thanks

SCCM integration for Asset Management
I have found a few old posts in this forum which asked about SCCM integration with SDP for Asset Management (ie using the SCCM agent to gather asset data, rather than deploying the SDP AssetExplorer Agent). The response from Zoho/ManageEngine was that SCCM integration was not yet supported but that it was in the roadmap for future versions. As these posts are over a year old, I was wondering when we can expect this feature to appear. Thanks, Roy
Add Asset Info to Groups of Assets All At Once
I'm just getting my assets pulled into SDP and I'd like to update groups of assets in mass. For instance, purchasing information is not filled in for the assets discovered by scanning the network. I'd like to be able to select a group of say 30 PC's that were purchased together and update them all with Purchase Date, Vendor, Warranty Expiration and Purchase Cost all at the same time. Is there an easy way to accomplish this without having to click on each asset and update them individually? Thanks!
Copy extensive financial information between assets
I'm looking to copy purchase and operational cost information from one asset to 300+ additional assets of the same type, etc. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know I can copy the asset but then have to go back and update name, barcode, serial number, etc. I'm looking to just duplicate financial information. -Kevin

I'm very new to ServiceDesk Plus and am trying my best to learn how to automate certain processes. I've created an equipment request template that contains location fields for which the device requested should be deployed. Our techs review the ticket and if approved, assign an asset to the ticket. Is it possible to get the location information from ticket and append it to the Location field of the asset automatically?

Hi guys, Any information on the Asset module being used through the REST API? Looks like it maybe hasn't been added yet. If not, there are two specific situations at the moment I'm trying to use it for: 1. Scripting in the automation of Active Directory groups based on Asset details. Assets scan site import issue
There seems to be an issue with site not being set after assets scan, both using the script and the agent. The Site value is properly set in the script and manually added to the agent's registry. The xml file being generated does contain the proper site information, so it is probably an xml import based issue. I am aataching server logs, script and inercepted xml file. Hope I can finally get some help with it as I've been battling with this issue since march. Am I the only one? Thank you in advance,

Is there a STATE that I can set an asset to be where Asset Management won't try to scan it? The assets that I have retired and are sitting on a shelf in storage, are attempted to be scanned every interval.

Hi, When I open the Asset tab and search for an asset automatically workstation is set for search. License Allocation Problem (number of installs stated != number of installs listed) [SOLVED] [FIXED]
There is a problem that we have been facing with the ServiceDesk Plus system for a few days now. We have been unable to allocate licenses, that we have purchased, to a machine that has the software installed on it. The software shows up as "Underlicensed" and states that 3 installations are "Unlicensed". We have 175 additional licenses that we can apply to these installations, but when attempting to view these Unlicensed installations, nothing is listed. We are using Version 9.1 Build 9105

From the help section of the Admin>Asset Management>Product>Product List page. Associate Vendor to the Product Click Vendors tab. Select the Vendor Name from the drop down. Hello Guys, One issue: Currently i cannot (or maybe i'm missing something) select software as an asset when i create a new ticket. If i type in a user's name it correctly shows the associated hardware, but not the software. Hi all, I was recently tasked with managing ServiceDesk and other ManageEngine products at my job. So my question is: Is there a report that I can run that would contain a list of all the assets that failed to scan for a specific site/domain? The specificity of the domain may not even be relevant as, currently, we have only scanned one domain. Has anyone been able to actually link the service catalog to the Purchase order to the asset management? For instance: A service request through the service catalog comes in from John Smith requesting a new cell phone. The PO gets created automatically because in the service request, they actually selected the device they wanted. How to manage assets that are available for checkout?
Our department has loaner devices (laptops, tablets, etc.) that are available for staff to check out. These devices are commonly used by staff members who travel for conferences, etc. Is there a way to effectively manage this inventory? Also, is there a way to allow the requester to view the number of devices currently in stock?

Is it possible to change the Manufacturer under 'Software Licenses' in the Asset module? Or even better is it possible to link software licenses to license agreements with different manufacturers? Often we get software from Vendors that are just lazy and different components or versions of software will have a different spelling of the manufacturer which is making it difficult for me to maintain our software list. having trouble importing assets
I am using a csv file to import our current inventory and when add in all my info it says success of 38 items but when I go to my asset page to verify it only shows 1 imported. is there another way other than entering everything manually or am I just doing something wrong?
