SLAs violated, but no SLAs are in place
I'm going through setting up the basic configuration for our Service Desk. I notice that now whenever I set a priority to a ticket, I get an error message that says my SLAs have been violated. I haven't set up SLAs just yet. How can I fix this? How are the SLAs connected to the priority? I've attached an image to show the error flag. Thanks.
cannot shutdown ServiceDesk Service
i am trying to shutdown the Service so I can perform an upgrade. However when I try to shutdown the service nothing happens. I copied the contents of the shortcut into a command prompt and I get the following Error: Java Virtual Machine Launcher Could not find the main class. Program will exit.

I checked notification rule : Alert group members by e-mail when a request is left unpicked in a group. and config notify after 0 days 0 hours 0 minutes , but after 6 minutes SDP the members of the group received an email. Can you explain why ?

Reply Cut/Paste with IE - pastes an image?
Just installed the latest version of SDP (version 8.1 8121). Loving the ability to paste images into conversations and solutions. However we just experienced a weird issue. When using IE8 or IE9, when an HTML email is copied and pasted into a reply, the text of the email is pasted, but the system also pastes in a graphic screen shot of the paste text into the reply. It's the most unusual thing. I've attached a screen shot. It does not happen in firefox or Chrome. Anyone else seeing this?
Issue with the "all tasks" view
Right now, our technicians with dispatcher profile can only see tasks assigned to them. However, we want them to be able to see all tasks created by assigned to technicians in their site as well. This was working as I described pre-8121. On the other hand, I am not 100% that it is related to the update. Up until now; I checked that - Technicians can see all requests in their site - Technicians can only see tasks assigned to them - Technicians' access permissions are as in the screenshot - Technicians
Double name in technician list (while want to assigned the request)
To all it pros out there, I had a problem because there's 2 (same technician) in the technician list (while scroll down to assign the task- select technician)... I tried to delete this name from the technician list but one of the id still remain in the list (but not in the technician list)... please refer attachment. thanks

Incompatible database version?
Hi there, I tried to upgrade my 8116 ver. to to 8121 but suddenly failed. Now i prepared one new server to restore my database while i'm checking on the current server. Once i tried to restore the database from backup, nothing happen and now both my server failed to operate. somebody please help me. is it possible because the new version 8121 not support not very old database version (build no: 8.16).... many thanks in advance

Not enough space available - Service Pack installation
I am trying to upgrade from 8.1.0 Build 8116 to 8.1 Build 8119 When attempting to do so, I receive: Not enough space available for installation of Service Pack I am able to run the backUpData.bat routine and have about 300MB free (not a ton of space, but this should be sufficient?) on the drive SDP is installed on. Is there anything else I can look into?
Remove duplicate entries
Hi, we have 2 domains, and authentication via LDAP. To fill these accounts before I spent importing data from active directory, zatemzatem table aaalogin domain replaced by "-". And wire imported from LDAP. In this case, the old users can log in SD +. The last time I made a mistake and then import from AD I did import from LDAP immediately. As a result, users are imported 2 times. How and to what table to remove duplicate entries? Win2008x64 SD+ 8114 MySQL Thank you.

Unable to set asset in a request to None
We are having an issue where we are unable to set the asset to None in a request. The asset field will change to None, but the change will not be saved. If we edit a request, and set the asset to None, when we attempt to save the ticket, we are thrown back to the Edit screen with all ofour changes lost. How do we fix this issue?
Group settings from template resets
Hi I have built templates in ServiceDesk, in the templates I put a value in Groups. When I try the templates, and register one requester, the group setting resets and the value setts to --select group— How do I get the settings for gruop to stay? Is this a bug, or a miss in configuration? Where do I find the settings for this?
iPad app not working
I installed the ipad app and set it up with the same settings as the iphone app, but I get a status 401 error when I use port 8080. It save without error when I use port 80, but I know we use port 8080 and the iphone app works with 8080. if I just say ok to the error, it appears to save it. I enter my login and get an invalid password error and I know it is correct. I have tried multiple users (one of which was a local user). Anyone have any ideas?

Hello. After update to 19 release history of requests dont work. if make changes to request, for example choose technitian, history tab dont show this. only creation and closure shown. please help us.

Safari Mac problem with attachment name: FileDownload.jsp
Hi, when I download an attachment from Service Desk Plus (e.G. at solutions) on Mac Safari (OS X 10.6.3 , Safari 4.0.5) the download will be saved as FileDownload.jsp This happens only on Safari not on FireFox or Windows computers. Any hints? Thanks, Alexander
Active Directory Pass-through authentication "Failed to locate authority for name"
I look at post in this forum and others but still can't find a fix for this. In the logs it says "Failed to locate authority for name". I ensured that we are using the FQDN. I get no errors when creating the computer account required. We are using a 2008 domain server. Do I need to do something to enable NTLM on the server side?

logging in problem with iphone/ipad
Hi, I'm getting an incorrect username/pasword error whenever I try to log onto servicedesk plus from either an ipad or iphone, this is happening on either the proper site or the mobile version. It works fine from any other PC. I have checked that it's not automatically putting a capital letter at the beginning of either username/password and have checked it's AD authentication and the domain is selected. Any ideas? Thanks
License Agreements
When trying to add a new licence agreement we keep getting the following error. com.adventnet.persistence.internal.UniqueValueHolder Under the Agreement Number. It doesn't matter what we put in this field we get the same error. We've tried rebooting the ServiceDesk server but still got the same error.
Importing asset details
Hi I am currently trialling SDP as a possible asset management solution. It has scanned our workstations ok, and now I would like to update some of the details it couldn't automatically get (e.g. monitor serial number, cost etc). I have exported the details of the workstations from a room through the reports to excel so I can bulk update some of the information. I then save it as a CSV ready to import back into SDP. The problem I am having is it doesn't seem to want to have all of the fields back

We purchased SDP in February of last year and really like it. We have kept our upgrades up to most current and am awaiting SDP 8.0. However, something changes between February and up to last upgrade that is a bit disturbing. I was shown today that a requester with SDGuest rights only can click on the Technicians name in the correspondance header of the call and see their extension and their cell phone numbers. Unable to take the backup of ServiceDesk Plus

The logs I found in the BIN directory do not give any clues. How to allocate consumable licence
HI, I have a software that I use for backup name Storegrid by Vembu. I by CALs that last a month. For each station Store grid is installed it uses a Monthly CAL every month so lets say if I had one station that had storegrid and I bough 12 CALs I am good for the year, and if I install this software on two stations the same 12 CALs will be split in to 2 and used up in 6 months. I would like to asset this in Manage Engine, can some one explain to me how to do it?
