OpManager link
A while back, I had installed a demo version of OpManager to see if it was a product we would like to use. It didn't really suit our needs right now, so I uninstalled it. Now in the upper right-hand corner of the SD+ screen, that "Jump to" link for OpManager still points to the test box that I had OpManager installed on, which I don't want it to do. I want to reset that link to whatever the default setting was, which I can probably do in the database if I know which table it's in. Or if possible,
What customisations have you made in SD+?
Have you found a neat way of using the features of SD+? I was just looking at the REQUEST - ADDITIONAL FIELDS option in SD+ and I wondered what other people were using this for? Does anyone want to share any of their customisations with the rest of us? We are just using one field entitled: "Cause of job request" and we have entries such as: External error Software error System error User error User added something User changed something We just wanted to be able to analyse the jobs a little better.
Dropdown side menus
Hi, I would like the screen to stay as simple as possible, is there a way to keep the 3 left menus (quick create, serach and recent) collapsed instead of expanded. Each time I collapse them they re expand whenever I move to aother page. It seems weird they have expand/collapse buttons if they dont remember last viewed.
Asset Change History

Single Sign on
Hi all, very new to Opmanger. We have a local intranet site that people login with their Domain credentials to access various tools. I want to put a link to the helpdesk and not have the users to enter their login again. (apparently this is a problem for my user community) Anyone do something similiar? I'd still like to keep the main page for the technicians to login. Any help or ideas would be appreciated TIA Nelly

Workstation location fields
When adding a new workstation (and in a workstation details) under General Info there is a Location field. why is this not a pick list of the Locations added in admin> Locations? Is this to be used in a different way? We are using build 5502 has this been change in the new fix?
Problem starting SD+ after hotfix
After running sp20 to upgrade to build 5507 SD+ will not restart I upgraded from build 5502. After clicking the ServiceDesk server Icon the cmd widow opens but SD will not run. Can anyone help?
Mailing list to inform of new versions?
Hello, Just a suggestion: it would be great if there was a mailing list that users could join that would notify us of new versions (patches etc). My company pays a fee for annual support but we still have to check the website and these forums to check if there are new versions out. Thanks Gavin
Major Bug
for a while now almost every machine on my network have been getting blue screens of death every monday at 1:30pm. I have just realised (after many many man hours of investigation) that this is caused by the helpdesk. I had set the audit settings to run a weekly scan on mondays at 1:30pm. I have only found out as I have just manually prompted a scan of my network and all the PC's crashed! I have disabled the scans (obviously!) but wondered if anyone else was having similar problems? outgoing email

Migrate to 5007
After migration to 5007 last night SD+ no longer loads properly. I've changed the Server Startup files as detailed on the note but it's not starting up. I've rebooted the server as well and still nothing. Anyone any ideas what to look at?
Defining Field content in an email request
At the moment when an email is sent in the following happens: 1. subject line becomes the title 2. text in the body becomes the description Is there any way of defining a field and content for that field so when the email is received business rules can allocate the request to a queue?
Contracts - workstations and assets
Hi, Looking at the contracts section, I note that I can add an asset to the contract but not a workstation. Therefore when I have my workstations already on the system I have to copy them as assets so that they can be added to a contract. Is there any way of adding a computer to a contract?

Send Notification Failed
We have a strange problem sending mail to other domains, our standard domain is fine, but when we send to other domains (which are all within the same exchange environment) we get a send notification failed. This started after an upgrade to 5005 on the 10th Oct. The sending to other domains worked fine until this time. Any ideas? Sending within Outlook using the same user data is fine, no problems. Has anything changed on the sending side in this release? Can we role back?
SLA not working
I need help, and its very crucial it gets fixed. Things keep slipping the system. I have 3 SLA settings, Low Med High Each one to go off and look at the priority level, low med high. after the selected time in each sla, it doesnt escalate! its turned on and enabled, and i also put one in called test with 2 mins and notify after 3. NOTHING! please help. also, we have it set so if the requester choose Inside US or Outside it gets assigned to the correct person. is this affecting it!?

Bar code functionality
How is the Bar Code field designed to be used? We would like to be able to have a bar code on all our equipment and associate it to an asset. Another thing we would like to do is perform a physical inventory of all equipment with a data collection device and upload it into the data base and/or compare it with what is in the data base for any changes/additions. Change "title" to "subject"
Is there anyway for me to change the "Title" heading to "Subject" on the request form? Our employees are are experiencing some confusion about what is meant by "title" and some of them are listing their job title (which does us no good) instead of a subject line for the request. AD overwriting moible phone numbers changes
When importing accounts from AD SD+ also imports the Mobile phone numbers from AD witch is what we want. But if a requester changes there number the change will be overwritten next time AD is imported. Is there away to stop AD overwriting such changes or for SD+ to update AD?
Asset Allocation History
Hi Guys Firstly great product - looking forward to version 5 upgrade release. Just wondering if anyone else would like to be able to build up an asset allocation history record, for example if I allocate an asset to a user I would like to record the start date and end date that user is allocated the asset and then continue doing this through the asset life, its useful for audit purposes to record who has had which asset when. What do you think?

Active Directory Synchronization
I used active directory to populate the requesters so passwords will be updated from AD. It also populated the departments and they are not the department names I want used in this software. 1) How do I clear all department names from the list without doing them one at a time? 2) How do I prevent AD from trying to populate that info again?

Stop logins expiring - administrator cant log in!
We have been using SD+ for a little while now and it would appear as if our administrator login has expired. How do we stop logins from expiring as this has obviously caused us a huge problem if the administrator cant log on to the helpdesk

Problem with Advanced Filtering in Custom Report
I have created in Asset - Additional Fields text field "Room" with Type: Pick List. Then I create Custom Report and try filter this text field values. In Advanced Filtering I select column "Room", "is" and press "Choose" for pick values. But in pop-up window list of values is empty... When I press "Ok" in pop-up window the following message displayed: "The selected date should be greater than the current date". SDP build 5506, 5507 - same results. Please, help. Thanks.
Replies to existing jobs are not being highlighted
We are noticing that when a requester sends a reply in to a case it does not show as emboldened in the list of requests and we are missing the fact that the client has replied. Unassigned cases are in bold. This only seems to have happened recently - we are running build 5505 but I am not sure if 5506 had any effect on this? Thanks
Serial number monitoring to prevent duplication
Hi, I was wondering if SD+ can monitor serial numbers to prevent duplication of PC details in AD when I rename a PC. I know that SD+ used to obtain all information based on NIC on a workstation, but I was wondering if there was any way to achieve the same result based on serial number. At present on rescan, we get duplication of PC's.
