Bar code functionality
How is the Bar Code field designed to be used? We would like to be able to have a bar code on all our equipment and associate it to an asset. Another thing we would like to do is perform a physical inventory of all equipment with a data collection device and upload it into the data base and/or compare it with what is in the data base for any changes/additions. Also can we print the bar code labels from the system or do we need to purchase/make our own labels to enter into the system. I think we would need to purchase/make our own labels from what I see so far. My theory is that I will need to do create something in Microsoft Access (or something similar) as a conduit for the data collection device to/from the database. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
