Running SD plus latest build on windows. Using mysql I want to try to use an sql query tool to help be build queries. It is asking for port, and password (for user root). Where would I find this information?
Scheduler view: first column is Sunday, would like it to be Monday. Is it possible?

Hi! There is a bug in SD in Russian. Home - Assets tab - Software - Microsoft Software License Compliance. In English legend has 3 color, in Russian - only 1 green color. May be bug is not only in Russian. This bug presents in all legends of Software. Screenshots included. Hope in 7.6 it will be fixed.

LDAP problem
The previous version of ServiceDesk worked great with LDAP, now I upgraded to the latest version, and LDAP does not seem to connect. Running Windows 2k3 server for DC. I have tried the help page, and still cannot get a good connect. Any ideas.
Adding an Asset (a laptop rather than a workstation)
I have just manually added a laptop to the assets. It is a Sony Vaio model that we haven't seen before so we created a new model and in the product type selected Laptop/Portable/Tablet from our drop down box. I saved the asset but now when I bring it up to edit it shows the model as "Choose Model". The dropdown box does not give me the option of Vaio and if I look at the laptop assets it does not appear there. If I try to recreate the model SD+ tells me that it has already been entered and doesn't

Hello, I would like to use an IP address field in the SD+ asset-workstation list. This information needs to come from the network adapter. The field exists in "network adapter details" but I need to know how to display the field in the asset list.
SQL Server migration to SQL Server when using partitions
Does SwissSQL handle data/schema migration from one SQL Server to another when the number of paritions from one DB to the other is not the same? (What if physical partitions are different? What if logical paritions are the same or different?) Some times the logical partitions are the same but the physical partitions are not. Will this tool be able to handle that variations in partitions (such as by rehashing and rebucketing the data?) Thanks.

Server Asset - more than one department
Hi, Is there a way to associate a Server asset with more than one site/department? What I am finding is that when a department is associated with a Server that the previous association is removed. Steps I am taking: Relationships tab Add Relationship > Useage Relationship Assign User and/or Department Choose User: No, just select department Choose department save Example: Email server is used by 2 different sites or department. On the requests list screen where all jobs are shown, is there a way that we can customise the fields that show for all users. By default Priority does not show, however we would like to show this. Thanks

Hello, I have been testin ServiceDesk Plus for some time now, and its very very good software. I have done my testing on Windows 2003 server and OS client is Windows XP. Now I am trying to test it on Suse Linux 11, and so far its ok. But i have a problem with importing Active Directory Users when i installed on linux. I have tryed to imported them like i did on Windows 2003 Server, but i got error that can not be imported from non Windows OS. I tryed to use ldap configuratio, but i get error comunication

Hello I need a list of the relations between my assets.The want to know, which PC has a relationship to what display, which printer is connected to the PC and who is the user of the PC. Hello, I'm trying to create a Custom Report to show how many calls we receive during specific time periods of the day. Displaying Requesters Requests
Can someone advise the quickest way of displaying open requests for one requester. As the only way I can find is by going to 'Admin \Requesters \ Selecting a requester \ View Requests' which is not only long winded but requires admin access. Thanks, Ian
SDP & Exchange 2007, still not working with attachments
Hi All. There appears to be an issue with SDP and the way it create attachments sent via e-mail, from requests. The problem occurs under these following conditions. a) The e-mailserver is a Exchange 2007 SP1 installation b) The Client is running Outlook 2003. The User can see that there is an attached document (it has a paperclip), but if he opens the e-mail there does not appear to be any attached document. Only adding Fixed Assets from PO's
So we found a little quirk in ServiceDesk. A PO was put into our system for prints of our marketing white papers and such. The purchase was approved and then received. Once it was received, all of the prints were then added to our Asset system referenced by their PO. I think this is a great thing when we're purchasing Laptops or switches or any fixed assets. Hello, I have a number of year end quarterly reports I need to get done and I'm finding it difficult to get clean reports out of Manage Engine. Let's say I want a simple report of all Request between Oct - Dec of 2008 grouped by month, I can't do that? PDF attachments hidden in email generated reports
I have an odd issue occurring. I have a scheduled daily report that is generated and sends an email to specific recipients with the report as an attachment in PDF format. We have Exchange 2007 on the backend and mixed client front end of Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. For the Outlook 2007 clients, the daily report email is received ok, no issues, it shows the attached PDF with no issues. Has anyone been able to setup priorities,SLA's , escalations based on when a technician has been assigned to a request , rather than when a request is resolved ? .. Screeshots in email?
I noticed that when a user sends me a screenshot embedded in the email (from Outlook) that it doesn't show up in the ticket. Is there a way to get this to work. I thought maybe I could just upload it after, but I also don't see anywhere to do that. Am I missing it? Thanks for your assistance.
