Recollect asset licenses
When an IT Asset has an Asset State of "Disposed" The license consumed by that asset should be released as an availible license. Currently the only way to release a license associated to an IT asset is to delete the asset completely. The trouble with deleting the asset is you delete all linked info to it, requests, purchase orders, etc.

Problem after upgrading to 7.5
I have upgraded SDP from 5.5 to 7.5. Now after logging in I always get the web-interface for making help requests as a regular user. No matter if I log in as a technician or local administrator. I just have for tabs. What's wrong ?
Closed notification to go to ALL MERGED Requesters
When merging several issues, only the "surviving" requester gets the close notifications. The users whose tickets have been merged with another will never receive updates or closure notes. Any NOTES or WORK LOGs notifications should also be included.
Java.exe consuming 100% of CPU

When a new technician is defined, until they customize their columns, have ability to control what their default view settings are when they first log in.
Disposing Assets
We have had a few workstations completely die and we have decided to dispose of them. I have noticed that when disposing the licenses that were used from the pc are no longer used. However I would like once the asset is changed to disposed for that all the software installed on that asset to be uninstalled in the audit history. Thanks,
7500 upgrade
Dear all I was upgrading from build 7022 to 7500 servicedesk, when the installation stated it failed, it then did the uninstall of the product and now I can't start the old servicedesk at all! Thanks David
Workstation Scan Function - How does it Work?
We are suspicious of the workstation scan that is performed on a schedule through SD Plus because we have people reporting slow downs intermittently throughout the day. We've eliminated other variables as possibilities (SMS and McAfee) but continue to see unexplainable workstation slow downs. I have it set to scan for new workstations daily and full scan weekly. When it scans daily could it be affecting workstation speed? How is the scan performed?

Asset Detecting Network Connection Speed
I am requesting that when scanning assets the network work speed is picked up. Like it would detect how fast the lan or wireless is connecting to the network at (10mb, 100mb, 1000mb, 54mb etc). That would be a nice way to find bottlenecks in the network. Especially when you have many hundred's of pc's and don't want to check them all by hand. Thank you.

Requester submit purchase order.
We were interested in our requester being able to submit Purchase Orders so we can integrate AdventNet ServiceDesk Plus into our purchasing process. Right now we have a ticket for that users fill out, and our purchasing agent then enters the items into a purchase order. We feel it would be easier for the requester to submit the Purchase Order and the purchasing agent be able to then take it over and verify approvals and process the PO. Is this planned to be released? I saw an old post from '07 saying

Can you include "Notes" in an email message?
We have the "Alert Technician by Email when a request is assigned" turned on as through the lifetime of request it often changes hands. We include the $Description content variable but don't seem able to include the Notes. It has been observed that it would be helpful to have the notes displayed in the email, which would enable the technicians to see at a glance what "the latest" situation was. Is there a "content variable" for Notes available? I couldn't find one.
Close Comments Automatic E-mail
Would really like to request that when a requestor enters comments when closing a ticket that an automated e-mail be generated and sent to the technican assigned to that request. There are a couple of reasons for this: 1) Even though we try to educate our users not to do it, they continually will close the request but then add comments that we really should be seeing...like "Can you do XYZ for me also?" Or they add additional comments which are really additional requests expecting us to act on
When is 7509 scheduled for release?
I'm currently running 7506. I would upgrade to 7508 but I was told 7509 would address a specific issue I'm experiencing. Since I have to rebuild my custom login screen every time I upgrade, I'd rather just wait for 7509 and upgrade once. When can I expect 7509? Thanks- Marc

Extracted Setup data
I am hoping to extract out of SD+ a list possibly in Excel that shows all setup data for my install (7008) and this will then in turn be used for a further independent install. Hoping to get Category>Sub category> Item listings and anything else possible that will amke subsequent installs easier. Is this possible? Hope someone can help Cheers

There currently is an option to have a requester be considered a department head. This means that all requests made by that department are visible by the department head. We have run into a problem where the department head is also a technician in the system. He is responsible for one group and has the ability to see all requests assigned to that group. What we need is the ability to assign a technician as department head so that they can see all issues assigned to their group and all issues submitted
Can't use "Program Files" as the installation folder
So I'm installing a new version to back out of a error.. and I get the following displayed when I try to change the "default" install path of "C:\Adventnet\ME\ServiceDesk" to "C:\Program Files\Adventnet\ME\ServiceDesk"... when viewing po's right now, there is no history item logged for when a PO was actually ordered. this would be very helpful.
Adding Attachments - Make Easier
Currently the only way that we've been able to add attachments (after a request is entered) is to click edit then click attachments. Would be really nice to be able to click an Add Attachment button like you can for Work Log or Notes. Thx!
ability to expand fields in the workstation view
hello, when using the summary view, would it be possible in one of your future release to have the ability to expand or contract the different field lenghts listed? for example, i have long department names, and can only see the first 20 letters or so of the department. it would be useful to have the excel-like feature of expanding the column size to show all this info. thank you.
ability to enter directly into aquisition date, expiry date and warranty date
hello, currently we do not have the ability to enter a date directly into the acquisition date, expirty data and wraranty date fields without using the Calendar selection box. typing these dates in is a lot faster than having to go through the gui each time. in addition, this field cannot be 'blanked out' once a date is entered without running an update statement in the DB. thank you for your consideration of these enhancements.

hello, i have 400 hundred assets i need to add the above dates to. apparently we cannot just type into this field, and have to use the GUI selection calendar, which is very clunky and slow. can you please look into the ability to actually type into this box, rather than be forced to use the GUI? thank you very much.

I am running 7507. I noticed that after assigning a ticked to a tech, and I email the tech that the email is nowhere in the ticket's history. How do I track emails sent to the tech after it has been assigned? Thanks
