Notification to user (prior password expiration)
hi, I am new to AD MAnager+ and I am looking to automatically notify a user n days before his password expires so that he takes the necessary actions before it expires (this causes big issues when they connect via VPN). I have looked into the notifications profiles and templates but have not found a lot of information on how to do that). Any help is more than welcome- - Best regards -

Deploying Agent using gpmc.msc isn't working.
I've been playing around with deploying the ManageEngineAssetExplorerAgent.msi using group policies. I've followed the instructions on the "Configuration Wizard" page ("Deploying agents through Active Directory") and, when that didn't work, followed the outdated instructions on this YouTube video, which didn't work either. I have the policy set up as described, but limited it to one computer and only my AD login - to prevent accidentally breaking the Internet. A few questions: 1. I am coming from working with Microsoft's SCCM to working with Desktop Central. I've been put in charge of the Patch Management process and revamping it and fixing issues with it. With SCCM, i know which logs i need to look at first to help determine where the troubles may have started and to help get issues resolved more quickly. I was looking in the logs folder and started to go through a few, but like SCCM there are quite a few dozen logs on a machine. Which logs are the most important to look

Hi Guys, I have created a pick list field in the default request template called "Confidential" with only one option "Yes". The field name is UDF_CHAR3 I was wondering if anyone was able to provide a script that would automatically set this field to "YES" upon execution of a business rule that states if the Subject or description of the request contains the word "Confidential". ? API to get Attachments for all conversations
Not having much luck getting attachment information for conversations. We have a business requirement that the original request and all conversations, including attachments are sent to a secondary system. I'm currently writing a program to do so. I can get the original attachment but i cannot seem to get any attachments in the conversations.

Hi, my Event Log Installation (version 9) had stop working after 3 months. If i try to start the Event Log Service (configured with local system account user), it stop working after some seconds. Hey everyone Couple days ago I upgrade EventLog Analyzer from version 11041 to 11100. Now I observe problem with Correlation Engine - when I start service everythink works good, but after about two hours logs do not correlate until restart ELA service and over and over. Hi, While trying to follow the upgrade path detailed here (https://www.manageengine.com/products/eventlog/service-packs.html) from 11000, the application of service Service Pack 11.0 (SP-11.0) failed with a database corruption error. I followed the backup procedure detailed here (http://kbase.eventloganalyzer.com/how-do-i-take-backup-for-ela#). The version that we have installed is 11072. Hi. I have a question. When I install trial version of ELA and sends the logs from our devices I received this message on my mail. The folder ES\CachedRecord has crossed its threshold limit. This is not favorable for real-time log processing and alerts. What does it mean? And how this error can be corrected (maybe configured more cash records)

Can you import multiple application logs?
I'd like to import a large number of Windows DHCP logs that were generated and stored on a remote machine and copied to directory on ELA server. When I attempt to import them I can only select a specific file name, not a directory containing the logs, or a wildcard pattern. Is this possible? If not its not going to be very usable with hundreds of logs to import. Thanks Ian

I'm creating a filter for a custom report. Do I use a comma, semi-colon, or space to separate terms in the Advanced tab. Maybe I use "OR" or "AND" although that seems redundant.

I am having a problem uninstalling AD Audit plus trial from my Win 10 box. I get error message (attached) "Some files exist in the specified directory. Kindly provide a different location for installing ADAudit Plus 5.0" I have A/V disabled and running as an admin. Does anyone know what might be going on here?
Variant Report for Failed Logins
Hi there, I am trying to get a failed login report set up with a slight variant to it. I would like it to show a user name, and the total count of their failed login attempts during that period, and if possible, have that broken down into the categories why (like bad password or account expired), along with the total count for those. This way I can generate a condensed list to track reasons from a high level, and then drill down where needed. Thanks in advance for any help/advice on this. Andy

Hi, need help with som problems! ADAudit Plus 5.0 installation with build 5053. Installed on Windows server 2008 R2 Problem 1 ServerOut log files get up to 50 GB after one day. new log file eatch day that eat up all disk space. Problem 2 Some users get UAC pop up and logon to ADAudit and logon is not possible. The affected users are lokal admins on the server. They have local rights on installation share. This is a random problem that happens now and then Hope you got som god ideas on these ones!
