Using release 4002, i still get 100% utilization+
I read the other thread regarding 100%+ utilization and it seems to infer that this was solved in 4002. I just installed 4002 and i still have % above 100%. The link is a T1 and the correct values have been applied to the interface.

Problem of AppManager6 and OpManager 5.5 with Windows 2003
Hi, I couldn't run both Applications Manager6 and OpManager 5.5 simultaneously in Windows 2003 server.But in other flavours of windows and Linux there was no problem in running both the servers on the same system.Any ideas why this problem occurs in windows 2003 alone?

Hi, i have added a windows 2003 server and i want to monitor disk utilization, free disk space, etc. but i get the message "access denied". My domain, login name and password are good for sure. I am using a WMI based monitor. What is the problem???

Catalyst 6500 interfaces
Hi, I just asked Netflow tool to query a Catalyst 6500 and it returned the 6500 interfaces as BT Fiber Gigabit Interface, as long haul fiber, short haul... with no specific details i.e. interface number 1/2, 1/3 etc. It is not an SNMP problem (i have put the right community name) But how can i know to which interface Netflow refers to???? I have only the above mentioned vague descriptions... Thanks, Panos.

I have, in the network some Windows 2003 servere, there are running SP1 Beta. The local firewall in active on these test servers. Witch Ports / applications must be allow in the local firewall to let the Application Manager monitoring the server. The error message is "No RPC"

Tomcat 5.0.28 Monitoring
Hi there, I have Applications Manager (Build 6004) running for some Tomcat and MySQL instances. But I get no performance information from Tomcat. Memory usage monitoring works fine, but response time and thread availability data is not collected. I installed a Tomcat 5 monitor and the Manager application is running. I can see the monitoring requests in the access log. How is this supposed to work? Thomas.
disk utilization on snapservers.
Hi, currently we have 3 snapservers which are basically nothing but NAS disk arrays. They run on linux, and I have snmp enabled on them. I notice that the disk utilization on the snapshot of the device will peg out at 100 percent, but if I do a diskspace usage report on them, that the devices still have plenty of diskspace. Does the disk utilization graph on the device snapshot show the access utilization or the size utilization?
Recurring Actions?
Is there any way to set a notification happen on a recurring interval till the alert has gone away? For example, a WebLogic server went down, and one notification went out. My assumption was that since only one went out, somebody had logged in and checked into it. However, when I went to check AM6, I noticed that that instance had been down the entire time; it was just that only one notification went out. Can it be setup so that the alert will keep going out until the problem is fixed? Thanks

Difficulties with SSH for Resource mon
Hi, Trying out the 30 days free Edition here and all in all it looks EXACTLY what we've been looking for, for our hosting solution. Right now Im running the OpManager on a win 2003 server, trying to set up non-smnp linux devices. Services etc are good, but now we want to check the resources, like memory, cpu and so on. So Ive done usual setup, checked the login prompt, password prompt and also the bash prompt. They're all default when logging on with ssh on that machine. So i checked /var/log/secure
delete network view
I accidently entered in a wrong network device and it created a new view for it. How can I delete an entire network view, but keep the rest!?
Application Manager 6 and Opmanager 5.5 on same server?
With the previous versions of Application Manager 6 Beta and Opmanager 5.0 we could use both applications on the same server. But with version AppMan 6 and Opman 5.5 we can only start 1 of them. So we can use AppMan 6 or Opman 5.5 but not together. When one service is started the other service could not start and we see Initialization completed. Mysqld-nt.exe and apache.exe is started for both environments. We've tried it also on another Windows 2003 Standard server and there we have the same problem.
Only one technician
There will only be one technician within my organisation (me) and I will help about 20 or so people. When they fill in the request form and submit it it is unassigned and when I log into the site I need to click on requests to see these initial areas and then assign them to myself. Is there a method were I can state on the requestors form that the request should be assigned to me? I've had a look at changing the form via the admin tab but didn't see anything about a default assigned technician. Thanx

I think that this piece of software is excellent and will save me a lot of time once I've updated it completely but it does appear very tailored for the US, ($ amounts, etc). Is there any plans to internationalize it? Or indeed is there something I can do to make it display correctly in the UK? Thanx again for another wonderful application.
Bugs in OM - Monitoring Intervals & Web Interface View
Hi Have found a bug in sp3 onwards (i run 5004)... the new "firewall" and "url" views do not have a global option in either gui or web client to set monitoring interval the gui client lets you right click on the view and choose monitoring interval, but it does not have an option on the next screen. Also, in the web client, when you set your default view on firewalls to be "detail" and then do not have any firewalls that are reporting snmp data to the web client (its weird, the device shows snmp data
Packets exported but Netflow Analyzer couldn't detect?
Hi, Is there any reason why Netflow couldn't detect packets coming in although from router we can see clearly packets flow exported? Both the destination IP and port are correctly configured. The only thing is, this router worked fine before. Only after I disabled netflow on it and deleted from Netflow Analyzer, Netflow Analyzer couldn't detect the router although I have enable back netflow from the same router.
Wish List Item - Sort in Web Interface
Hi! I think a great feture would be to be able to sort by any column in ascending/descending order in the infrastructure views in the web client. This can be done in the gui clientbut not web, making it difficult to find a server quickly in a list of 100 in detail view in servers (as an example). It would be great to be able to sort by name, or by service monitor (eg have all IIS servers at the top of the list). Is it possible for this to be added to the roadmap? Thanks Dave

Hi, I'm adding several switches to OpManager 5.5 build 5504 and at the firts time the port status appears correctly, but if I connect or disconnect one switch port the status don't changes never.I test it with web and java client.

incorrectly finding non-snmp node
hey guys - so far, this product looks really good. Im currently still in my first day of eval, but noticed something. I have a subnet segmented for all my cisco switches, routers, etc.. Everyone of them have SNMP configured. When I ran the Network Monitoring/Network Scan, it shows up with a few of the cisco devices as "non-snmp mode". These devices have the snmp settings properly configured, so... Whats the deal?
non existant email support
Hi I have been trying to get support for OpManager for a month with no result. Have sent numerous emails to the support email address, with no response. Is this normal? It seems that everyone was responsive until our money was paid, but now its silence. Perhaps a support team member can look into this for me, and try to find out why nobody is responding? Thanks Dave

Hi We have the trial version of Netflow Analyzer 4 running and we will soon be purchasing it. One thing we have had problems with is the sorting of devices in the All Devices-Dashboard View. We have noticed that some of the devices are sorted alphabetically but we have groups of devices further down in our list that are not where they belong in the list (for example we have a group of devices that are sorted alphabetically that come after a device starting with W) Is there a way to make it resort

Hi, I managed to installed NetFlow Analyzer and from the webpage I could see packets coming in increased when I reload the page. The only problem now is I couln't see the report page since it gave me error. Device already present -- But I can't locate it
I was adding a server in which we were missing reverse DNS entry for. OpManager seemed to "hang" during the process of adding the device, and I couldn't tell if it completed. I had to refresh the page after a period of time, so I never received the confirmation notification that the device was added. Later, this server's NIC cards were "teamed" which brought into use, a new IP for the device. Additionally reverse name records for this new teamed IP were created. Originally I added the device with
