Hi There, I have a 1760 and a 831 router with dual ethernet port with IOS 12.2-11.T8, in both routers I cannot do IP ROUTE-CACHE FLOW, the only options I get IP ROUTE-CACHE with policy or same-interface. Do I need to upgrade my IOS. please advice.

how to monitor status of active processes
How can I monitor the status of certain active processes? Looks like you can since there is a summary list of active processes shown in the device info list. I want to build alarms based on certain essential services going down. ie. Process Process Status Process Type init runnable(2) application(4) migration/0 runnable(2) application(4) migration/1 runnable(2) application(4) keventd runnable(2) application(4) ksoftirqd/0 runnable(2) application(4) ksoftirqd/1 runnable(2) application(4) kswapd runnable(2)
Problems with OpManager 5.5 SP1
Hi there, Since upgrading to SP1 I seem to be getting authentication failures on all my devices? Also if I update a device name e.g a switch it doesn't seem to retain the name, it reverts back to IP address again. :(
Time out of Op Manager GUI
Hi, After the upgrade of Op Manager to SP 1 (5510), I found that even after I selected "Automatic Refresh" at 1 minute, I am still timedout after 10 minutes, and I need to re-login again. Any ideas? Paul

Fortigate 800 MIBs
Hi, I've been having problems with detecting my Fortigate 800s correctly. All interfaces detected are wrong, and I can't get CPU and Memory utilization. Support has replied back this morning that testing was done on their Fortigate 400s, and is working fine on their Fortigate 400s. I believe the 400s and 800s are vastly different, and are probably running on different instruction sets. I have attached the MIBs for the Fortigate 800. Is anyone able to advice on how I can get the MIB compiled and loaded
Service Desk 4.1.0 - User Survey NAT address
I like the new user survey feature but I don't know if I can use it. The server running the Helpdesk software is using a NAT address. When a survey is sent to a user it includes a link referencing 'http://<server IP>:<port>' . The IP is the internal address which can not be linked to from the public side of the router. Is there a way to modify auto generated email that is sent to users to reflect a differnt URL? ****** Example *************************** Please help us to improve our service by participating

snmp on different port problems monitoring environmentals
Hi I'm new to Ops Manager. Just set it up, verified net-snmp install on my target device as per the instructions in the user manual. I set the community and port strings accordingly we use a non standard port for snmp (e.g. 6969) however op manager does not appear to be able to communicate. my community string has a period in it. could that also pose a problem? ssh monitoring is ok.
Problem with a custom monitor for printer
I'm trying to set up a custom monitor for my printer to show in % the toner supply. Appmanger Windows User name field
The username field in the windows system monitor keeps truncating my username. "SERVERNAME\USERNAME" becomes "SERVERNAME\USERNA" The box is in a domain but uses a local account for monitoring so I need to specify the host to authenticate against. Also, its a bit annoying when you re-edit a monitor that was set to WMI and then it defaults back to SNMP during the edit. Any way to fix this? -H

HI, I have been testing OpManager to monitor our fleet of ATM (cash disperser) machines. Having looked at 11 other products, OpManager comes closest to shat I need. ATM's have a number of sub-system components (Card reader, cash dispenser, Receipt Printer) all of which need monitoring. I particularly like the Server view exposed by OpManager where services appear a little indicators on the main server Icon. I have three questions; 1. Can I create a new device category that mimics the Server view?
Does Netflow Analyzer can work with Rivertone Networks ?
We have many RS 3000 and RS 3100. The Rivestone has LFAP Protocol the Accounting. I has worh Net flow Collector and Net Flow Anaylzer the Cisco. The LFAP Fields are : Source / Destination IP Source / Destination Port Type of Service ( DSCP) Protocol Total de Bytes Total de Packets VLan ID AS Does Netflow Analyzer can work with Rivertone Networks ? New device type/category
When adding a new device type, there should be a pulldown with the category of the new device type (router, firewall, etc.) so you don't have to manually edit the opmanager_categoryInfo.xml file to add in the new device type names that get matched on discovery.

Use with ISA Server
This is probably a dumb question but if ServiceDesk Plus uses port 8080 would this cause a conflict on a server using ISA which uses port 8080 already for proxy? The error I'm getting it this: HTTP 407 Proxy Authentication Required - The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. OpManager Device Types/Services
I am testing OpManager to monitor our fleet of ATM (cash dispenser) machines and OpManager is the closest fit I have seen for our needs (I've tested 11 different products!). Each ATM has a number of "services" i.e. Card Reader, Dispenser,Receipt Printer etc. The OpManager Server view (icon with green service states) would be my preference. OpManager on Windows 2003 sp1
has anyone installed OpManager on 2k3 with sp1? if so is there any secret to it. i have tried several times and the service will not start and when i start it manually is just shuts off after a few minutes. any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Can we disable the frontend of NetFlow Analyzer?
Is there a way that we can turn off tomcat or jboss implementation of the NetFlow Analyzer product? We are only interested in the traffic data collection part as in the cflowd freeware. All of our network monitoring applications have a consistent look and feel controlled by a GUI group. We only provide data to them. Therefore, we are looking to see if there is a way to disable all the un-necessary processes out of the product and only keep the traffic data receiving and processing part.

Is listening on more than one port possible?
I have a linux based device that is using nprobe as a netflow probe. I understand that NetFlow Analyzer needs to receive flows from all interfaces on a device to display IN and OUT information, however nprobe does not allow me to configure two collectors with the same IP and Port. Is it possible to have NetFlow Analyzer listening on two ports at the same time, so that I can configure nprobe to send flows from eth0/0 to 192.168.1.10 port 9996 and from eth0/1 to 192.168.1.10 port 997 for example? The documentation is difficult at best to find anything. Downloaded the .zip, the .pdf hangs about 2/3 through so I cannot get it downloaded. Really unimpressed at this point. Unless I can get this thing figured out and running and working the way "it is supposed to" in the next few days, my recommendation on this product will be don't buy. We are only trying to demo it and it has taken 2 weeks and MUCH frustration to get to this point and it isn't even completely setup yet. And from the looks of

User Manual Inconsistancy
Im trying to figure out how to build custom SNMP TRAP Processors and the user manual does not coincide with version 5510. below is a snip-it from the manual. On the right, select Load Traps from MIB under Actions is not in version 5510. Plus I need to know if <OpManagerHome>/conf/mibsToBeLoaded.conf has to have mib files loaded in order of thier dependencies. Basically im trying to load the needed traps for Cisco Access Point 1100's so that the traps i get from remote users authenticating and de-authenticating

We had a hard power outage the other day. I tried to use the repairdb.bat in the bin folder. Hi I'm running the demo of netflow analyzer and i have a few probs/questions. i've configured to receive from a number of cisco 2921 and 2691 routers, i seem to be receiving the netflows fine, however, when i drill down to source, i just see everything catogorised under 'others' and not for individual ips. Further clicks on destination shows the same 'others' and clicking on conversation reveals no data available. This is the same for all the routers. Regards Keith
