Some basic (I think) questions
I'm sure a lot of this is covered somewhere, but if you're like me you have better things to do than go documentation-diving. 1) I've installed net-SNMP 5.2 on the few linux systems I need to manage, it seems to be gathering CPU metrics fine (hard to tell though, they aren't going above 0.1% user) but Memory and Disk Space metrics aren't in the MiB table. I've found alternate OID's for the statistics I need, but I can't seem to figure out how to setup the MEM and Disk Space graphs to show anything
Retries before Alerting - Suggestions required
Hi all, We are moving in the direction of providing retries (before generating an alert) at a Monitor/attribute level instead of at a "Global" level. (The current global options are available under "Admin" --> "Global Settings" --> "Retry Polls before Reporting an Error") . This is done as we require such retries option for certain monitors and their attributes and for some these retries need not take effect (as requested by many of you ). Retries need to be configured for 1. Availability 2. Numeric/String
Editing Purchase Orders
Is it possible to edit the details on a purchase order after it has been changed? We regularly receive invoices for workstations etc where prices have had to be changed because of unavailability of parts and changes in shipping costs.
Adding Technicians
Is there a way to change a Requester to a Technician after importing details from active Directory? Currently the only way I've been able to do this is to delete the Requester, then recreate them as a Technician.
Feature Request: Reports
On the reports it would be nice if the columns were totalled and if there were an option to export to Excel (or CSV file).
Software version does not appear & Excluded type
When managing software, the version is not identified and I don't see where I can change it??? Also when the software type is set to Excluded, it still records the software as unlicensed - should this be or would it be better for the "license" part of the system to not appear when type is set to Excluded. For example Acrobat Reader is free software. Do you intend us to specify licenses for this software or should we not have to. Regards, David.
Vendor List not showing all & can't select multiple item
- When we entered the vendor Microsoft and selected all the software associated to Microsoft, the list appeared to not show all associations. It states they are added but they are not appearing in the view and there appears to be no next page. - Is it possible to to request that we have the ability to select more than one item in the pull down menus when products to the vendors? Exporting "Custom Report" to PDF
Hello... I'm evaluating NFA 4 on linux and i'm quite impressed so far .. But i was wondering if i can export the data generated by the (Custom Report) section.. It's mandatory for me to have those data in PDF not just printed .. I tried to manyauly export to PDF or Print 2 PDF but the data get messed up one last question, do you have an estimated time to have the auto-reporting feature in NFA ... thanks a lot

After installing opmanager 5.6 upgrade with windows hotfix. I do not have the opmanager service any more. Also Opmanager does not start. Please help
creation time alterable? & adding field to resolution
I know that the due date of requests are easily changed, but is the same flexibility available for the created time field (of those requests recorded by techicians)? The service technicians here often find themselves distracted by phone calls and urgent matters, and then must go back and record problems from hours earlier. Also, how can I add a field to the resolution of requests, in which the technician can enter the approxiamate amount of time he spent resolving the problem? Thanks!
Response to "E-mail the requester" ens up as a new
When I send an e-mail to a requester with some new information on a request, the sender address is my default ServiceDesk Plus address. When the requester then answers that e-mail, it ends up as a new case. server specification for opmanager
Hi I remember seeing a while ago a list of specs for opmanager servers depending on the number of nodes etc, but I cant for the life of me find that thread. I currently have opmanager running on a P4 2ghz box with 512mb ram. It runs great, and I have under 500 nodes. I was wanting to use the 2ghz box for something else, and was wonderinig how well opmanager works on a SMP environment server. I have a quad p3-700 box with 4gb ram spare, would there be an issue running opmanager on this spec server?
ServiceDesk Plus Server does not start automatically
ServiceDesk Plus Server does not start automatically, even though it is set to run when the systems starts up. I have to manually start the ServiceDesk Server everytime or place it in the startup folder. This should not have to be done. Do you know the fix for the problem. SDP release 4105

OpManager CATOS support
For my OpManager 5.6, CISCO IOS support is OK. But I have some cisco 6509 device and run CATOS. The product can not find out the portname or ifindex and CPU and Memory usage but Cisco 6513 run Cisco IOS is OK. Please tell me how to solve it. Frank
Failed to change Snmp_Version2c ==> Snmp_Version1
I had edited my SNMP parameters as describe at http://manageengine.adventnet.com/products/opmanager/help/user_guide/mib_browser/mb_snmp_conf.html from Snmp_Version2c to Snmp_Version1. After made change, exit the MIBBrowser, exit the OpManager client and rerun the OpManager to check the setting, it is still Snmp_Version2c. I also tried to restart the OpManager but the result still the same. Help me.
Password Reset
Hi All, I have managed to lock myself out of OpManager5 by reseting the admin password ad then notn being able to log back in - how stupid do I feel. Cisco Port Name Problem Again
The portname still have some problem. Because I install the netflow analyzer in the same machine with opmanager and snmp configuration is the same. But Opmanager can show ifindex and portname accurately. But the netflow analyzer can only show ifindex. Please tell me how to be able to enable the product to find the accurate portname. URL monitoring's problem
hi all I used this product to monitor our web-site, but sometimes we have network problem so ApplicationManager can't get this url, and then send the alert. But It is often recovered in 1 or 2 minutes. I need to know whether ApplicationManager have some kind of mechanism so that we can doublecheck this url.
