AD Authentication - Automatic Auth Needed
I'm evaluating SD+ as a replacement for our current help desk system. One of the simple, yet nice, features of our current system is that it can use windows authentication to automatically log users into the help-desk system through Internet Explorer (and Firefox if it's properly configured) so that our users don't have to log in to submit a request. It doesn't appear that SD+ has this ability, though it can use AD authentication but it still requires you to manually log in.
Is this on the roadmap? Is there an ETA for it?
Secondly, the case-sensitive username issue should really be fixed. Our account names are generally entered in in a format like "JohnSmith", users are most likely going to try to log in as JOHNSMITH or johnsmith.
The second issue can likely be fixed here by manually updating the login names in the database to change them to lower case, but it would be nice if this was fixed in your application.
One of the primary things our helpdesk has to be is easy to use. We want the users to be able to type "helpdesk" in the browser and the requests screen pops up. No manual logging in and no entering of new accounts from the administrative side (automatic synching of AD users to requestor accounts).
Thanks.
