I have download a trail version of oputil3 and i have made all the machine on my network active on SNMP but the will not gather infomation how do i get the non-SNMP Active Please Help :(

I am having a heck of a time with our evaluation install of OpManager. The problems started after applying the upgrade to 5.6 and the web access stopped working though not immediately. I have uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and still can't get it working with the previous information - I didn't get a chance to backup when things were working properly. I've also repaired the db - which had a huge number of errors. If I reinstall and don't copy over the previous db and conf directories,
URLs monitoring without session ID?
I deploy AM 6 to monitor my web server (Apache+Tomcat). Everything is fine, and I can see the monitor user(which I input in AM) can logon to the system. However, I can not find the session for the monitor user inside the Apache logs. Can you tell me why and how to config the monitor in the 'Request Parameters'? Update to 5.6, OS=linux FC3, lost data
Hi I applied rediscorver to one of my router. As a result The router name lost, replaced with ip address. All utilization /performance data lost as well, as if this is a new router. Worst, all unmanaged interfaces are gone and they can not be rediscorvered again from the same place, thus can not be added into service (maybe there is another place to add them that I don't know). Hi, where can i find the raw output log files generated for any monitor ? I want to generate my own graphs and reports instead of those displayed by the App. Manger software. For example, where will the raw output log file for the response time graph generated for System Monitors reside?
delete business view
Am trying to delete a business view in linux fedora core 3 and it is unable to do this....I have even tried on a windows 2003 server box...same thing not bale to delete the business...How do I go about fixing this problem...Is this a know issue? thanks
Monitor Exchange 2003 with OpManager 5.6 N/A status
Hello, I'm using the product OpManager 5.6 Trial version for test the monitoring of Exchange 2003 with WMI, but I have a problem. When I monitor a ressource with WMI, for exemple the utilisation of memory that function correctly, but if I monitor Exchange 2000/2003 (WMI) application all the things are in N/A mode. I have put the correct domain and user with the correct password. I don't unterstand this problem...

How do I find a system by IP quickly?
if I have the IP of a system and I want to jump right to it in OpManager, how do I do so? The 'device search' being largely useless because if I'm looking for a system by it's display name, I can just sort by display name. (unless I don't know which network it's on, I suppose).
Unkown interface names with Enterasys SSR-8600
Hi, I am using Netflow with Enterasys SSR-8000 and SSR-8600. I have configured Netflow correctly with SNMP-Communities and all known interfaces of the routers are shown. Beside the "normal" port-names I get every day new ifindexXXX-port-names which can not be resolved. E.g. a router has 81 physikal and logical interfaces, but netflow reports ifindex82 and up to ifindex255. Every day I get new ifindex-entries between ifindex82 and ifindex255. I tried to read the mib with the troubleshooting-tool SnmpWalk.bat

How do I limit the amount of bandwidth a server can use. For example, I would like to limit a server to use only 1000GB. If a cap is possible, will it cut off the server at exactly 1000GB or will it alert an administrator about the problem first?
relocate OPmanager files
In order to take advantage of multi-disks system, Is there easy way to store OP files in a different disk insteadof in one folder? What I means is, WEB in one disk, databse in another disk. It is noticeable that disk i/o is very heavy when OP is polling the data and also busy to create report and all IO is hit in one disk! What is a easy step to move my demo version of OP to another new PC with new puchased OP license? Thanks

Access NetFlow Analyzer from FireFox

Win2003 Server SNMP does not show active
Windows 2003 Small Business Server w/SP1 does not show as active SNMP device and SNMP and WMI are enabled on the server. What needs to be done to get this issue corrected? Any idea's?

Dear, I have Installed and runned OpManager 5.6 under Linux. Everything is fine, until I tried to access OpManager with FireFox. The browser can't access OpManager and it's refreshing all the time. adding process to a monitor
I have a lot of servers around the country that are all acting as DC's and are all running the same processes. Is there anyway to create a monitor with the processes set up and then apply it to other monitors, servers, or monitor groups?

SP1 Installation problem
I am having difficulty getting sp1 applied to build 4002 on a windows 200 server I have followed the online instructions, i.e shutdown netflow service (used control panel) extracted the files in SP1 into c:\adventnet\me\netflow and then ran BackupDB.bat to copy the mysql data files. Then ran updatemanager.bat, selected the sp1 .ppm file, and tried to install. It attempts to install, but fails with an error, (Unspecified) and then does a cleanup after failure. I have attached the log for the session.
Systems showing 0 availability, 10ms response, clear status
I've found sporatic servers with dashboard views of: Today's availability - all RED Downtime is listed at the current hour Response time: 10ms (or good response in most cases) Resource & Service status are all clear I can't seem to correct the availability status on the dashboard screen. I've tried: Update Status, Clear Status, UnManage / Re-Manage, Shutdown OpManager service and restart. Have you run into this? I hate to delete the device and lose otherwise good monitors.

Hi am running the demo ver and would like to know how to change the logos to my compay's logo....also when created a businessview for one of my clients...when they log in they see at the top righthand corner the about and register links...I want to be able to take that out so the client would not be able too click on this...is there a file I have to edit in order to do this... thanks

Now SP6 has fixed the notifications, could someone comment on the following please? 1) Can the format be changed to HTML so the emails don't look out of alignment? 2) Can notifications be sent when a note is added to a call and also include the note content? 3) Can the email be edited to include the URL of the site (until email replies are handled properly?)

Migration of database from 4.0.0 to 4.0.1
Is it possible to migrate data from our old Netflow Analyzer box that is running 4.0.0 build 4002 to our new box running 4.0.1 build 4010? I don't want to turn the new box on and the old one off until I can make sure I won't lose any data. I tried to copy over the mysql\data directory from the old box to the new, but this did not seem to work (got no response from the webserver when i tried to connect)
