Can application mapping include server IP address?

Can application mapping include server IP address?

We are actively evaluating this product and are very impressed. We havent yet looked at the newer builds which include IP Grouping.

I'll explain the business problem, then if someone could kindly advise if this is possible and how -

a] We have client site X
b] We want to be able to report on router interface bandwidth utilisation by application/service for site X
c] Site X access ten different web based business applications, therefore all traffic is WWW/port 80, but to ten different servers/ip addresses for ten different apps.

The standard reports will obviously group all WWW traffic together (rightly so), but that stops short of us being able to identify the different business applications on the different servers. If we drill down into the WWW traffic, Netflow Analyser shows the source conversation data, the problem is we would have to manually pick out the different server IP's and there is no way to incorporate this into the nice pretty graphs and charts. The end-goal would be a report which could show, WWW-SAP, WWW-HR, WWW-TEST, all port 80 traffic, but using the server IP address to differentiate the services.

Ideally there would be a way to bind host IP addresses to the application mapping -
this would give us the ability to identify traffic utilisation by business application.

OR

Could this be achieved using the new IP Grouping functionality and if so how? It almost looks like this will work - but by reporting on this traffic as a 'from group A' to 'to group B' report, we have lost the concept of a router interface, its speed, and utilisation as a percentage of this.

There is definately a potential Netflow Analyser purchase riding on this so any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks
