Hi, On the graphs of older data, I'd like to see two extra lines for maximum in/out traffic rates, as well as the average values reported at present. The traffic rates on these graphs are averaged down as you go back in time, and the maximum values are lost. A bit like what you can do with MRTG! many thanks, alec --

Hey Guys, I'm playing with the new beta version to get AS number reports. I'm using a cisco 7200 router, and I have enabled ip route-cache flow on my interface. And in my router I have set: ip flow-export version 5 peer-as ip flow-export destination 10.0.0.2 9996 Basically what i want to see is traffic IN and OUT for every peering I have on my router. With these settings my inbound traffic seems to be accurate, but my outbound traffic is like 2 bits/sec, which is impossible at all. It seems like

Incoming Email fetching
Is there a way to avoid ServiceDesk cleaning out the fetched email acccount? Right now I have it monitoring helpdesk@domain.com and each time it fetches it deletes the item from the mailbox. This wouldn't be an issue but we are a unified messaging environment and our Exchange message store is also our voice mail message store. So...unless we check voice mail within that minute between SDP fetch it deletes that voice mail and creates a ticket with a .wav attachment. Please let me know what I can do
Big Bug -- I was just assigned every ticket in the system
I clicked on the check box under the "unassigned" ticket view, and clicked pickup. Every ticket that had ever been opened, even if it was already closed, was assigned to me. This is a real pain to try to re-assign all the open tickets. Even worse, we rely heavily on reporting. Our reports now say that I have closed every ticket ever open. This is not good.

Adding a new Vendor problem
When adding a new vendor, the 1st line of address allows about 25 charecters, but once saved it cuts it down to about 12 charecters. Could this be fixed in an update or are we doing something wrong? Thanks Dunk

Scheduled Start and Stop of SD+
Is it possible to use Windows Scheduler to Start and Stop SD+? I have tried using the Run.bat and Shutdown.bat files but these require user intervention with a "Press a key to continue" message. Is there a switch I can use to ignore this? Reason we wish to do this, is the server it is on can't be backed up correctly because there are files in use (SD+) so we need to stop it during the backup. Thanks in advance Dunk

Diplay proliant CPUutilization in snapshot dial meter ?
I am evaluating opmanager 5.6. So far I can monitor several virtual and physical servers running Win200x with snmp and wmi. We run also 2 HP DL380G3 with VmWare ESX 2.5, SNMP enabled. From the snapshot page of these 2 machines I cannot monitor CPU Utilization correctly. If I use "Resource Monitors/SNMP/CPUutilization - hostresource mib" or "Resource Monitors/SNMP/CPUutilization - ucd snmp mib" the monitor displays wrong value. Hi, I try to install the Trial Version of ServiceDeskplus on a Debian system (testing). The server starts and I can log in. But when I try to scan a network it fails. It cant ping any reachabel machine. But from the console I can do so. Installed is the iputils-ping package. In the serverout0.log I find the lines about not reaching the different hosts: For example 192.168.0.17. It is reachable with a ping from the console. Multiple Database
Hi, I am eveluating the software and am very pleased with its functionality. I've also evaluated other softwares and one option that has been very interesting is the fact of being able to have multiple databases.Meaning, one for internal helpdesk and one for external helpdesk (ei: software support). A Machine Belongs To WHICH User?
I've gone through my collected inventory, assigned 400 machines to 400 users. A support call comes in, i input this support request and then view the request details. Why can't there be a link on this page linking to the requesters machine(s)???? I assumed there would be one due to it being such an obvious requirement, is there one?...am i missing it?

Dear FA support, Is there a way for me to customize the report like different time slot? I noticed that all the time you can change is the day, is there anything I can do to get different time slot report like from 10am to 12am, something like that? Information in Reports
How are the Requests Closed Summary by Date by Technician and the Closed Requests by Technician created? How and where is the info pulled from? I would have thought that both reports would show the same total number of closed calls for a selected date range but they don't. The Closed Requests by Technician seem to always leave closed cases off. For example, I've closed a total of 8 calls today according to the Summary report but only closed 6 cases according to the Closed Request report. Why are

Have a cisco 2811 and cat2980G-A and cannot get info
I have configured my cisco 2811 twice and cat2980G-A twice as well...what am I doing wrong ? On the 2811 I believe the SNMP config is very simple.. snmp-server community public RO thats it .... Opmanager will poll on port 161. Even when using the MIB browser it cannot get the info...the error I am getting is : Request failed or timed out. Problem in Loading OpManager
Opmanager stopped working earlier when I went to delete a device and add a new one. When that failed I tried auto discovery and that is when OP crashed. I have since un-installed, rebooted and installed again several times. But this is what I get when attempting to load.... Non snmp nodes
I am running opmanager 5.6. On discovery some of my servers are being picked up as non-snmp nodes even though the snmp agent is running on them and all snmp parameters are correctly configured. This is driving me mad now as I have tried everything possible to correct it. I was wondering if there is perhaps a security setting that might be enabled on the servers. Hello all, is it possible to register the serial numbers of the connected LCD-Monitors of all the workstations in a company? If so, how long could it be. Default alerts and thresholds
Is it possible to create default alerts and default thresholds for a certain monitor type? For example, for all my Windows servers, I always want to put threshold for CPU, Memory, and Response Time. I also always put the same alert to the Health. Is it possible to create a default thresholds and alert for Windows System monitor, so that each time I add a new Windows server, I don't have to assign the threshold and alert one-by-one? The same example goes for SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
Modifying monitor's name
I have a few questions about modifying monitor names. To modify a monitor's name, I have to go to the Edit Monitor screen for that particular monitor. For monitors that requires password (Windows WMI, SQL Server, etc.) I also have to re-enter the password. Is there a way to modify the name without the need to re-enter the password? My next question is for the Service Monitor. How can I modify the name of a Service Monitor?

Creating "group" SMS Alerts
Following a format of Create a notification contact -> assign that contact to a notification group -> assign that group to a host and/or service. Is it possible to go to Admin > Notification Profiles > SMS Alert > To Email Address and add a comma delimited list of addresses? or is there another way to accomplish this? Thanks in advance, Ryan

Unassigned Requests
In SD+ when there are unassigned request they are not on immediate view, you have to go to "All Open Requests" and trawl through and hunt for them. Would it be possible for them to be linked into each of our technician's open items. So a technician in "My open Requests" can view the unnassigned ones there too. Either that, or on the open requests screen, be able to view individual users requests instead of having to go into reports for it. Hope that makes sense! Thanks Dunk
