Allocating Licence Duplicating
I'm currently going thru this software and assigning my software licence to specific machines but I have a problem which I hoope someone can help me with. I'm looking at the scanned software page and I notice Adobe Acrobat Professional 7. I click on this to see who has this installed and it displayes the 2 workstations that have it installed. I've made the software type Managed and I have 2 licences for it. So to allocate the licences to each machine I click on the tick box at the top of the Unlicenced

Blank Workstation Names with inventory
Hi, When there is a Domain Scan, there is always about 10-15 Blank workstations that will appears as new at everyscan. There Blank name are Servers and Workstations. I need to manually delete them at every scan. All other systems are OK. Is there a fix for this? You can see what I mean in the Attached document. Thanks Daniel
Resolve Outbound IP addresses
Dear firewall support, We configured our intranet settings as told by the application when viewing live reports. I read an article about resolving ip addresses only for those subnets configured in the section intranet settings. We would like to see al outbound IP connections also being resolved by the firewall analyzer. Is this in your future feature list, or just not possible (I bet it is possible though ;) Thanks
SLA escalation is not working
I installed SD 4.1 and have a build No:4107. I assigned a SLA with resolution time of 4min and set the Escalation Level1 to 2min. And i logged in as requester and cretaed a new request with that priority normal for what i had set the SLA. But after the time i checked but its not modified any time or technician to which i have assigned in SLA. Is their any problem in my configuration. Can i set the time like this 4min & 2min. Will it take that much less time or i should give only in hours. And i downloaded
AppManager Auto Start
I just found out that if I restart my monitoring server (Windows), AppManager can not automatically start itself. Each time I restart the server, if I access AppManager thru the web, I always get the message that the AppManager is currently starting. I have to go back to the server, log in, shutdown AppManager manually (sometimes I have to use -force), then start it again manually. Is it something wrong with my server, with the configuration, or maybe AppManager really can not start itself automatically
Requester Reply to Notification opens new ticket?
Love your product, but during testing, I noticed if a requester replies to a notification, it opens a new ticket. Is there a setting I am missing or any way to avoid this besides requester training? Thanks!
Changing email messaging defaults
Is there a way to change the default email/sms message? I am constantly manually modifying the message text when sending out to my techs. Is there a way to customize this so that the standard settings and information I want to send always comes up?

I know you can change the "fields" included in an email but can you change the formating ? for example ... New Router interfaces discovered daily
I have one Cisco 3745 router on which NFA keeps discovering "new" interfaces. Every day it adds another 20 or 30 interfaces to the Managed Interfaces. I can delete or unmanage the interfaces but they will either re-appear or more will appear the next day. This router has 16 T1 interfaces, but I am only monitoring the Multilink PPP virtual interfaces. Any idea when this issue might be resolved?
Additional features Requested
In the Inventory and Requesters pages, would it be possible to default back to the previous view that was selected (Show X Per Page and page number) before saving changes to a particular record? On all pages could you enable sorting by column headers? It would be especially helpful in the Requester List section. In the Edit Requester page it would be nice to see an alpha-numeric sort of Department names instead of what seems to be a random sort. Currently it is difficult to pick out the department

We are currently in the deployment stages of Opmanager and have a need to generate reports and post to a systems web site. Is there a way we can schedule the running of reports and save them in a custom location? Thanks
Adding user
Im evaluating this software and find it very impressive. I have a problem. When I add in a new user it says "users added sucessfully". When I click on the user management tab it doesnt show up any user that I created. Please help
Availability shows down all the time
I have 10 devices that are responding but show down all the time in Opmanager. Only the today's availability shows down, all snmp services are responding.
dcom not loaded/enabled on WIN2K PRO workstation
Tech Support says the workstations/servers I am attempting to network scan need to have WMI, RPC, and DCOM enabled on the device. When I look at Services, dcom is NOT even a selection for the WIN2K Pro workstations, let alone disabled. I don't see dcom at all! How can I load dcom, or enable it in the registry. I don't see it as a choice in Add/Remove Programs. Or is there some other factor in the security of the device that stops dcom from loading? Or some heavy handed service pack? Thanks for the

But iam not able to get the option where to create the Bussiness views. Can you please let me know the details that how to create bussines process views. Attachments in request and solutions
Hi! I have two problems with attachments: 1. After adding a new request, there seems to be no way to add an attachment to it by editing it. 2. Solutions don't have the possibility to have attachments. This is a most wanted feature. Sort feature for Request page.
A great feature would be to add a column sort in the requests section. Simply click on the Column header and the screen refreshes with the requests sorted in ascending order on the column you choose. Click again and the page refreshes in desending order. Similar to the way outlook works.
Patch for Cisco PIX
I applied the patch Firewall_Analyzer_4000_PIX_16_09_2005. I logged in today and found that since the patch was applied 3 days ago ALL traffic is being reported as IN, nothing for OUT.
NOTIFICATION PROFILES
Hello, From the Web client I am unable to create notification profiles. I use the following procedure; Admin tab - Global Settings -Notification profiles icon. Add new - Email Alert I then proceed to enter the information. Click Save MESSAGE = Notification profile added successfully. Here's the problem...It doesn't create the profile. If you could help me out it would be great. I was on the site and followed the howto section to make sure I was doing it correctly. Same proceedure but different screenshots.
Notification to Role Types
We have three basic types of ServiceDesk users; End Users (Requesters), Technicians (Custom Role called SDTech) and Facilitator (SDAdmin). Our facilitator is in charge of keeping the requests current and coordinating tasks. What we would like to have is a way that our facilitator can be notified when a request is closed. custom query on current / live data
If I load an archived log file into the database under settings, I can do a custom query against the data for source IP, etc. However, I cannot find where to do a custom query for live data. Right now, in the last 24 hours, I want to see all current traffic that a certain IP address has gone too, including all protocols. How do I do a custom query against current traffic?

We are evaluating the Firewall analyzer 4.0 bulid 4001, our firewall is cisco PIX525 6.3.3. In / Out Traffic is not right on PIX 6.3.4
I'm testing FA4.0 build 4001, but from the report, I got huge out traffic but a little in traffic, I don't think it is right. From other post, there is cisco pix patch for FA, but I don't know if the patch should be installed on this build 4001 and where I can get this patch. Thanks

OpManager and Insight Manager
I currently use Insight Manager to manage my HP servers. Does Opmanager give me the same information as Insightmanager about my HP hardware? (In the overview, it states that it monitors over 40 critical parameters on Compaq and Dell servers). Could I run the two products together, or should I just use one of them?
Strange Data
First off, I love this program. I have one serious potential issue that I would need to be resolved before putting all my faith into the data that is represented. It seems that the Data is obviously not correct. Or not showing a correct relationship between outgoing traffic, and incoming traffic. Here is the problem that I'm having. OpManager Will not start.
I have been having issues getting OpManager 5.6 running on a windows 2003 server. I have looked through previous threads on resolutions to this issue and have tried using the batch files found in to manually start it C:\AdventNet\ME\OpManager\bin and I have also renamed the my.ini file that was recommended in another thread, so far it still refuses to run and there is no noticable startup even though the service is started. Domain Scanning Problems
When running a domain scan with SD+ it works ok for most of our users, but a few it just doesn't. If I try and scan it manually it comes up: FAILURE : User does not have the access privilages to perform this operation. We are using the main Admin user name and password so this can't be true.
