the meter sometimes disappeared
dear, hi, i am using opmanager 5604. I'm using snmp for getting information of CPU, disk utilization, and memmory utilization. Sometimes, the graph of meter (meter picture) is disappeared, and sometimes it is show normally. When I try to browse the MIB of the server, there's no problem at all. Please help me, because the history graph of my server is being not accurate. Thank you.

Linux SNMP Details Not Being Seen By OpManager?
Hi! I've successfully created some SNMP monitors for an XP machine and can view plenty of details including its disc, CPU and memory utilization etc. However for Linux machines it doesn't seem to be as straightforward. For example I downloaded & ran the AdventNet LinuxAgent (on RedHat Fedora 4) however OpManager wouldn't recognise the machine as being SNMP enabled (no blue star in map view). So having stopped the agent I tried starting up the system's own snmpd. OpManager sees this as an SNMP enabled
Device not visible - but registered in the database
I am trying to discover a new device (switch) which is not visbile in any of the views or inventories. The 'discover new device wizard' complains that it is already in the database ... how do I delete these records (if they exist) ... or how do I add this switch?
Netgear Switch
We have netgear gsm7224 switch. It does not show the interface port speeds correctly. What needs to be done. It has been rediscovered and re acquired multiple times. SNMP is working The port lights are green if occupied but the speed is not present and traffic is not seen.
MySql
Sorry if this already got posted... I am using the demo version and would like to see if I can also install a different MySql database that I use with another application into the one used by AppManger. I am looking for the connection information to attach to the database server used by AppManger (localhost install). MibBrowser load error
Can you please look at this MIB and tell me why I get a cannot load error, I have had the vendor send them to me 2 times and both times they will not load. Also is there a way I can fix mibs that error out like this?

TCP APP List: Maximum Items
Hi, Especially just after the install, looking insed TCP_APP is quite usefull to fine tune Netflow Analyser to match with internal applications. However, Having informations inside TCP_APP takes a long time. Why not limiting the output to the TOP100 ? it would take less time to get the information. regards Cedric

Hi, 1 ) I've defined for my proxy an ip group with only one IP. However, i see traffic under TCP_APP but i can't define what's inside. Anyway to change this ? 2) Graph's color change over time. Okay, I did a network scan and now I have hundreds of software programs and of course, ServiceDesk thinks they are all unlicensed. How do I create licenses for these programs? How do I tell ServiceDesk that we have 5 licenses for this program and then assign them? David.
Overall Management Report
How can I get an overall management report from ServiceDesk regarding productivity? I would like to know, in one report, how many request were received, how many were closed, and how many open tickets are in the queue for a given period. Not broken down by tech, or department, etc., that is nice, but what I mean is a rollup report for management. Something I can print out quickly when people wonder what we do all day long.

Feature Request: Time Out on Errors.
It would be great if in Event Log Rules we could add another option to the levels. For example, right now I am setting a lot of mundane event log messages to be ignored, but there are some rather mundane ones that don't matter unless they happen in quantity. Lets say something like, "Virus found and Quarantined." I don't really care about that. But if it begins happening every thirty seconds or so, I want to know - obviously I have an outbreak. Asset details--data not available.
When I try to run an inventory report, some servers show their RAM and Disk, and others do not. I have double checked to make sure everything is fine password and string wise. Any idea why on the majority of servers I am seeing data not available, instead of the RAM and Disk amounts? Cheers

I am testing the OPManager 5.6 and noticed 'some' window 2000 server with SNMP enabled do not recognised by version 5.6, but recognised by 5.5 without any problem. Did anybody come across similar situation ? Rgds/KL
MySql port 33335
Hello, I have install ELA on the same machine that I have OpManager but there seems to be some problem. Is it possible to have ELA and OpManager install ont he same server? ELA is giving an error stating "Unable to start MySQL server on port 33335. Please free the port" Since both OpManager and ELA uses MySQL, could this be a problem? Sheyee

Dashboard and Graphs problem with WMI
Our Dashboard fails to get updated for CPU,Mem and HArd disk utilization for win 2003 server which is hardened by security template.When we remove the security template the dashboard gets updated .Even the graphs of server are not displayed in hardened environment.We are using WMI interface
Switch Mapping
We have a Netgear gsm7224 switch. Op manager sees it after a long wait. When we run switch mapper it says Bridge-mib not enabled but it is enabled. A switch map appears but it is not always accurate. We have Netgear mib file but don't understand what do do with it.
Feature Request: Detailed Drives View.
Currently WMI monitoring is great, but what if I want a quick view of how much each drive on the server is doing? Its good to know its 70% overall - but that doesn't help me if drive E is 90% and drive C 20%. What about creating little pies for each drive - so if I have four drives I'd have four little pies instead of the one big one. David.
Business views and Link status
Hi, We are currently test the OP manager App, and have found it very good. 2 Questions i do have are: 1:After creating a Business View, can we then view this as a web page, so it can be displayed on a large LCD TV. After Linking two devices, example- switches: Can we create a multi link? Is it possible to incorperate the bandwidth utliz on this link and when the utilz goes high the color of the link changes? If it is not possible to do either of these, may i suggest it for the roadmap. Thanks

Feature request: when entering a resolution, it would be more efficient if there was an extra button at the bottom that said "Save and Close". Often, after you enter a resolution, the first thing you do is close the call anyway, so this would save some time. Hope you will consider this. Thanks.

We are trailing it at the moment, is there a way to customize the way the emails are sent from the service desk? e.g adding company logo with formatted rich text as opposed to plain text which is not formatted, we are using it initially for a high profile customer and wish the emails to look slightly more professional... Trouble trying to monitor Oracle database
I have access to two servers, production server and development server. This is the error I get when trying to monitor development server Unable to connect to Oracle Server. New reports included computers and user by department
Hi! I wonder if it's possible to make reports of computers by department it would be great if the report also could include all the users whitin the department. Beacuse we have some computers that are assigned to a user and some computers that are not assigned to a user but is included in the department but are assigned to the department. It would be a great help for us, and hopefully for other Administrators aswell. Best Regards Daniel

If script are used via WMI, what is the impact (high CPU usage, memory, etc) on the server that the logs are being pull from?
