Huge Issue After Upgrade
OK I just got upgraded to Version 5 with some help from support. Everything so far looks good except for the Solutions. All of my solutions lost their formatting. They were all nicely formatted so they could be easily read and followed. Now they all look like one giant paragraph with no formatting. Is there anything that can be done to fix this and have them revert to their old formatting. I would really hate to have to go back in and re-do all of my solutions. I have alot.
Version 6.0 - CLI CPU monitor issue...
I have CLI based CPU resource monitor turned on for some of our Linux systems. These are older generation quad (4) processor systems. Upto version 5.6 i believe a single aggregate value was being reported for all the 4 processors and with the thresholds enabled it use to report violations after that aggregate value exceeds 90 (as i have it setup). Now with the new version each processor is monitored seperately (which is kind of nice) but even if one of the processor exceeds the threshold it generates
Jboss falls over but can't restart
We're trialing AppManager (Free Version) to monitor and report a number of JBoss servers - ideally. If it works we'll upgrade to the serious version. But.... Whilst we can restart an existing JBoss instance using MBeans, if JBoss falls over, using Execute Program to run the run.bat or run.jar fails no matter how long a time-out we set. HI, I am trying to port the URL's which I have been using to monitor the heath of my application from my existing monitor system(cgi based legacy system) to Application Manager, and having trouble with a few of the URL's. OpManager: Device discovery; Duplicate Devices
I completed a device discovery, and now I have a ton of routers/switches in separate categories. The issue is the devices have about 10-20 separate networks configured on each and now I have 10-20 router icons in different categories (Router, Switch, Desktop) for the same device. They are all listed by IP. Questions: 1. Is there a quick way to fix this? 2. Does OpManager know how to discover devices without causing duplicate entries? 3. Do I have to delete the devices and add them in manually? 4.
Dependency handling problem
The dependency section of OpManager does not appear to handle faults in a WAN well where dependencies are declared. To expand�. Hi, We're considering OpManager for managing corporate servers we have at various customer sites across Europe. These servers are all behind firewalls with dedicated (TCP) port openings to us for management purposes. This is fairly complex, and I'm interested in how we can accommodate/customize OpManager to fit the bill. For alarms I imagine we have to use SNMP proxies and have OpManager receive traps from these proxies locally on the same network as the OpManager server resides (possible localhost).

Not happy with Upgrade
Hi, I don't know if there's a problem. I've followed the instructions, un-zipped the files to the SD folder, run updatemanager.bat and then started the Server. The splash screen is just sitting there with the blue progress bar (est. about 75 to 80%) and a line of dots that are moving from the right to the left. What is it doing and why is taking so long to start? What do I do with it - leave it, kill the process and try again??? Regards, David.

Logon Page
Is there any way to either default the 'Log on to' field to a particular domain? Or to hide the field so that only one domain can be logged onto? We have two domains. Only one of which we want users to be able to log on with - the other is only in the Service Desk so it can be used to scan the domain for workstations. Thanks, Andrew

Before pointing out possible products shortfalls, I feel compelled to say that this is an amazing and flexible product. Anyway, the main issue I have is with regards restrictions that should be placed on technicians. I work in a department of around 20 technicians, some of which deal with h/w issues, some network and others system bugs/enhancements and others testing changes. Service desk 5 Restore
Does anyone know if it is possible for me to restore a backup taken from a sd4 enviroment into sd5. I am currently testing sd5 on another machine and would like to take a copy of the live data in sd4. i have tried just using the restoredata.bat file but it just seems to sit there saying fileAttachments restored successfully but looking in SD not data is restored
Attaching Assets
Is there a limit to the number of assets that can be attached to a particular workstation? We are evaluating the SD+ product, and I am trying to add a DesktopPC to another workstation - this is where we run into a problem. Is this allowed? Any help you can provide on the issue is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'd like to propose a feature request for future versions of AppManager: enable historic graphs for CPU/Memory/... usage of processes when using Server Monitoring. Just like this is already possible with disk usage. 8)

I did the upgrade to 6.0 from 5.6. Stuff seems to be going good so far but the initial login web page still has the old 5.6 screen, did I do something wrong on the install?

All, does anyone know how to configure netflow on BRI interfaces? Does this need to be configure on the BRI x/y or on the dialer interface. Are there any specific commands required? Fresh version 5 install - small list of issues
We purchased SD+ a little while ago but waited for version 5 - now installed. Here are some issues we've found so far: 1) Request ID # jumping ie 29,30,31,301,302,601,602,603 etc 2) When viewing a request the conversations are expanded by default on certain requests and collapsed on others - would like consistency, preferably collapsed. 3) Main Request list does not have a 'Pending' set of filters (or even just on-hold) - Pending to include Open and On-hold statuses would be great. can't add non-snmp host in OpManager 6
It won't let me leave the snmp community/ports blank, and if I put something in there it sits there about 10 minutes and says it added the host. When I search for the host it does not exist. Something similar is hapening wih rescanning non-snmp hosts -- it sits there for 10 minutes and doesn't change anything.
Mandatory Fields in Request Form

Not showing downtime correctly
I had a device that OpManager said was down for the past 14 hours, however during that same time I was able to ping the device. I removed the device and re-added it again, that seemed to fix the status.....why would OPManager have done this?
Upgrade Pack 6.0
I shut down Opmanager completly, insureing that MySQLD, Java, etc. were all closed. I started Updatemanager.bat. Program loaded fine, I selected the upgrade patch and then hit finish. New window pop ups to show the status, but nothing happens. I killed the java.exe program and proceded to shut down all non-essential services. Again the same issue, the patch just hangs. After 10 minutes again I just killed the program. Any ideas short of a new install?
sending Eventlogs per mail dosn't work
hy everybody, i monitor a Windows Event log with opmanager. I would like to send a mail, when a event with id 8001 appear in windows event log. Probelm is, it comes no mail. I don't understand it. opmanager has all rights to monitor the watching server. the notification profile and the windows event log rules under the admin screen function good. i verify this rules with an other server, and it works. a mail comes out when the event 8001 was emerge. just for one server didn't work this rule. what
