Some problems remain in build 5008
Hi I have updated Servicedesk to build 5008, but I still have some problems that I reported to you in previews topics. As you can see in the first image, when I click in the "Request by Technician" table of the "Global View" window the list of requests isn't correctly displayed. Only works properly with the Overdue column. The second one shows some problems with the truncation of the long names when the inventory is displayed. Actually we need the complete names and we can't edit them. Thanks. iolondo.
Firewall analyzer is not receiving syslogs !!!!
The firewall analyzer is not receiving syslog messages from my PIX because the port 514/1514 are associated with the localhost ip (127.0.0.1) not the interface facing the network! how can i make tehe the firewall analyzer process start on a specific interface IP
Discovery no longer working
Hi, I have OPManager 6.0 build 6003 I have 4 subnets. The first one was great and the second work as well. but the 3 and forth will not be discovered. If I add a device one by one then I get all the data but the discover Network will not find them/ Help? Thanks Scott

report availability
Hi, I can't display "All Interfaces Availability Report" in Report section. When I try the message that I receive is "No data available" but this is not true. In fact if I go into the router interface section I can see the interface availability for today, yesterday, etc. I created an "custom monitor" (I called it "Interface_status") with .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7 mib and it functions well when I perform a test. If I go in the report section and I choose both router and "Interface_status" I can't display

I have Netflow Analyzer 4, monitoring about 70 interfaces, in production for about 6 months, and the database has grown to about 3 gigs (just for the file ibdata1). It totally filled the available disk space. Is there a way to limit how much information is stored? If not, if there a formula to estimate the size needed for the database, and how much it will grow over the years? Thanks Sergio
Requester Details
I would like to see in the Requester-Details informations regarding assigned Workstations also. Is it possible to add this informations and maybe a link to the inventory to see the Asset-Details? If possible it would be lovely to have the Informations which Assets are assigned without clicking on the requester-details button. Im shure there is some space in the Request-View... thanks Florian
Backup and Restoration
I recently had my paritition that houses NetflowAnalyzer fill up; so I moved the data to another partition. I moved the data that was in the mysql/data/netflow folder to another partition, then symlinked it back to the original location. The app started working again once there was room on the original partition again but all of the previously collected data no longer shows up. Is what I did that bad? But...that leads me to the question how can this tool be backed up and restored reliably?
Logon/header customization
Hey I have now and again seen posts about customizing the logon screen and the header/logo (the top stripy lines area up the top). From my understanding this can not be done (by the user), is this a feature expected to be released in future releases of opmanager? Is it on the roadmap and if so is it expected this year? Thank you
Are there API's to hook into for development purposes?
We have a workflow management system in place here. There's a desire to have the workflow screen contain fields that can be filled in, and have those fields fill in PO fields automatically in SD+. Are there API's to do this? Do we have to create hooks into the back end mysql database? Would either of these options allow for dynamic updates to the service desk screen? Any significant dangers to "creating" a PO via MySQL "injection"? Justin

Requester Name Problem
We have SD+ V 5.0.0 Build 5008 installed. When a requester is creating a request, he has the possibility to select the requester name out of the requester list. Now to avoid the problem of people sending false requests under a different username, the requester name textbox's default value should be the Username, with which the requester logged on to SD+, and it shouldn't be editable. Where are the log files for SD Plus located? I cannot find any that have any current information in them. I am primarily looking for outbound email problems from the SD server to techs and customers.

Bug Found in Reporting (easy fix)
When you create a custom report and you use one of your user defined fields. It displays the data fine, however when you export to PDF instead of using the name you set it labels them UDF_char1 or whatever field you used. Is there a way we can get this fixed so instead of displaying that UDF it displays what we named our field.
PIX - no more data after first detection
Hi everyone, I'm testing FWA on a win2K sp4 patched computer (1Go ram). I wish to collect syslog data from one of our cisco PIX 515 (v 6.3.3). So easy task, i ask the pix to send logging to the FWA server. FWA server receive data the first time and then, no more data are updated. the device details tab says that the pix device is up and always shows a "last update time" up to date. So of course, no live report can be seen and all ... i use FWA 4 build 4002 of course. the serveur i use is a test server
Solution keywords and special characters
Hi. It seems that keywords with special characters don't work in solution search. Whenever I use a keyword that contains a national language character (e.g. �, �, �, etc.), searching solutions always returns no results. Can you, please, check this? Thanks. Frank

Custom Reports
I am making three different custom reports. All of them are Matrix Reports and filter by created date, during this month. The information is summarized by Category, Technician or Department. When the information is summarize by Technician and Category, I get the same total requests, 394. However, when I summarize by Department, I get more total requests, 410. Any idea about this issue?

Access database to display ONLY recent items?
Is it possible to gather information from the database (such as recent items) and then be able to display this information only as opposed to the whole web page being displayed? I would like to know if this is possible because it would allow me to code my on entrance page and display recent items on the frontpage without having to get into the entire application. Then when they click on a link it would automatically log them into SD+ and display the page as if they were a requester. Thanks.
Alert for Service Down
I have configured in one profile 3 polls for Device misses. This configuration this functioning however the services that are inside of this device soon sends me an alert email of after first fall. How to configure so that the service alarm is only sent after the third falls? I am using Opmanager 6 Build 6003. Thanks !
Major Inconsistencies between Last hour and last day data
Changing to "Last Day Report" is losing data. Where am I talking about? I click on the interface, then on "Conversation." It defaults to "Last Hour Report" and there are 600 some entries (viewing 100 at a time). Then I change it to "Last Day Report" and there are only 57. Where did all the rest of the data go? (BTW, "Retain Raw Data" is set to "1 Week" I'm finding this a lot the more I look into it. Please identify a fix.

Using the data to bill from
Hi, We would like to bill our customers based on the number of bytes they transferred in a month. What we would need is the monthly total of bytes sent or received for each ip address on our network. Is there a way to get this information in a text file from Manageflow analyzer ? or We could ask for the data using ODBC into the MYSQL Manageflow Data base but we are not sure where to get the transferred byte numbers in Database. any help would be appreciated, Dimitri

I just fired up NFA to analyze 2 ports on a 3620 router -- one FastEternet interface, one Serial (T1). Seems to be basically working, but I'm not seeing (I don't think) all the traffic that the router is reporting. Right now the router shows: #sho ip flow export Flow export v5 is enabled for main cache Exporting flows to 10.251.12.62 (9996) Exporting using source interface FastEthernet0/0 Version 5 flow records 49792 flows exported in 1664 udp datagrams 0 flows failed due to lack of export packet

Department pick list
I did a quick search and didn't see this requested anywhere. Can we get the Department pick list sorted? Currently it appears to be displaying in order of entry. I have over 100 departments defined and having them sorted would be a HUGE benefit.
