Is there a way to partially cleanse the database?
I underwent a migration from a development to a production server today for servicedesk. I backed up the database, and restored to the new database - no problem. But now I want to delete all the data in there except the settings and solution items - basically take all the tickets out (closed and open) as well as all the machine/user scans. is there a good way to do such a task? NFA5 stops collecting netflowdata
Hallo, we are evaluating the NFA5 in our environment (120 Customers). The tools works fine with 10 - 20 Customers/IP-Groups. Now we are testing the software with the real Netflow-data. Here the facts: - 400 interfaces - 120 customers/IP-Groups - 3 Mbit/s continuously Netflow-data After 15-30 minutes the nfa stops collecting netflow-data. Customized reports don't seem to work?
I am trying out the EventLog Analyzer 4 product (v4.0.1, build 4010) The canned compliance reports all work fine, but I am trying to create a custom report filtered by event ID; i.e., a "Custom Report with Event Filters." No matter what event filters I pick or even if I pick specific event IDs, it always gives me everything; e.g., successful AND unsuccessful logins, etc. I am trying to filter the "noise" from event logs to streamline for log review for SOX compliance sake and am having a tough time

Request: Title column in request list to narrow
The titles in the request list are often smaller the it could be. (the column is wider than the displayed title). Could it be changed so the title is always as wide as the column? Only the last three could be the . as sign it is really wider.

Special characters not shown correctly in some areas
Hello, It seems that customer's replys are not correctly processed to show special characters like accents. This appears only to happen with customer replys, both in the web interface and in the "Notify support rep by email when request is appended by reply" e-mail, all other messages are processed correctly (I attach some screenshots). In addition to the normal WINDOWS LOGS when need a simple SYSLOG server log. Terminal Server
Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me customize the monitoring of the eventlog on my terminal server. I would like to customize and define what to monitor, as in only the APPLICATION $ SECURITY logs, and in those logs, filter out only the errors and warnings. Basically, the monitor will send out a notification when a specific error or warning is found in the specified logs. I am not sure how to do this and your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Changing title of request corrupts other info
I have build 5007 installed and have notcied that if someone send in a quick request (whihc doesn't populate a lot of the fields), if i go and edit it as administrator, it corrupts the data. APC UPS - only seeing load and charge
Hi, I'm just playing with OpManager 6 and have an issue in getting values displayed for anything other than UPS Load and Charge for the device. I suspect the problem is that I am using the APC SNMP extensions supplied by the APC agent which is running on a Windows XP PC - so maybe OpManager refuses to believe the node is supplying the APC OIDs. I have already changed the Device Type to APC UPS but this did not make any difference - I assigned an additional IP address to the host node to use purely
Importing contacts from CSV file
I had been trying out ServiceDesk and liked many of its features. However I need to support clients with multiple contacts which SupportCenter appears to be designed to support. My problem is that I have about 1000 contacts to import and SupportCenter does not have a field mapping in the CSV import to bring in the account number. This leaves me with the undesirable task of editing all 1000 contacts and setting their account information. How quickly can we have the ability to import the account field

In OpManager I defined URL monitors on the server device. I added and assigned a mail notification to send mail when the URL is down. MS SQL Monitor - Cache Hit Ratio always 0.
I have the Cache Hit Ratio monitor for SQL server setup and it's always displaying as 0. If I use perfmon on that server I can see that I'm hovering around 99%. All the other SQL Monitors seem to work just fine.
Visible Support Team info
Is it possible to hide some of the information on the Support Team? I don't want clients using the web portal to be able to see their phone numbers and email addresses, but I need the email addresses defined in the Support Reps screen to get the automated emails working etc. I know I can remove the phone numbers for each rep but it'd be easier to have a "hide from client" option.
FW Anaylyzer is receiving packets, but not showing any data
I am using this with an Applied Identity FW. The packet count goes up, but I see no reports, and the msg states that there are no unknown packets received.

If all of the events are being inserted into the database then what is the archive directory doing? I looked at some of these files and it looks like it is the same events that should be in the database? Could someone please clear this up for me? Thank You

Memory not reporting right
I have a SNMP monitor watching a dual processor server with 4GB of ram, the CPU seems to report back ok, but the memory is reporting 93% usage. When I log in to see whats going on with the server the mem usage is at less then %10 The opmanager is running on linux and the server is windows 2003

I am in the process of evaluating your software and I am very impressed. I must have something misconfigured because each interface on the test router only shows packets in or out, not both. Can you tell me what I need to change?
Reports for custom time periods report erroneous data.
If I manually change a 1 hour report to show two hours, then the total traffic for two hours shows less traffic than it did when displaying 1 hour data. Obviously it should be more adding an additional hour. It does not seem to total the information probably when selecting custom periods. Thanks!

I've installed the free version of opmanager to test out the monitoring of our WAN Sites. Here are a few things I found so far after a week or two of playing with it. Adding monitors is painful - I want to enable the following traffic monitors - Rx and Tx errors, discards, traffic and utilization. Adding each monitor in individually is kind of painful. Netscreen 5 traffic log
How do I direct thet Netscreen 5 firewall to produce and place the log fies in a place that FireWall Analyzer can get to? Netscreen is producing the logs OK; I can see them only by accessing it via the browser but I don't know where the logs are to direct FireWall Analyzer to read.

I apologize for not placing this in my last post, but all source and destination IP numbers are the source interface on our test router. I do get a brekdown of known protocols, but no information on senders or destination IPs. Obviously I am learning, so any help would be appreciated.
Device Type and WMI access
