I have a desperate need to build a specific form for authorizations. I need to be able to build a hierarchy of selections based on the roles that are needed. This can also be a static form that allow the entry of information needed. Is there a way to do this in the current helpdesk product such as an SDK..
CPU/Process monitoring
I have multiple Servers being monitored by a service monitor using WMI. If i monitor a process in the server, i am not getting back any CPU information for the process. I keep getting -1. If the CPU usage of the entire server hits 100%, is there a way for the system to flag the process with the most CPU usage? Even if i am not monitoring the process? It would also be nice to see a graph that shows what processes are currently taking up the most CPU and Memory. Thanks
Suggestions for SD+
Hi, We have been evaluating SD+ for the last few weeks and are exceptionally impressed with the functionality provided within the program. There are however two features I believe may assist our company and or others. I would be more than happy to see them included as "Options" rather than complete forced changes. 1) Automatic pickup for the technician that raises the ticket. 2) Ability to assign a ticket to a workstation or department without email notifications being sent to users. 3) Non-workstation

I want to know what type of table uses the Mysql, and what is the database max storage capacity of the current version? . I need to know about the data files handling. could i mount them on SQL or somewhere else for audit purposes? if this is... please show me the way. Thanks

Interfaces - VAI's
Hi guys, Been playing with NFA recently and have got the full version now. However, one of the devices I want to export NetFlow data from acts as an LNS as well as a BGP speaker to a transit supplier. I'd like to monitor a couple of the physical interfaces (Gi0/0,2) however, not the VAI's generated for each session (Gi0/1 links to the LAC network) Is thier anyway to be selective in dropping flows related to the VAI's, or just hiding them? Database Maintenance - Keeping Data forever!
Why is it not possible to keep detailed stats for longer than 15 days and hourly stats for longer than 90 days? I'd like to keep ALL data indefinetely. Why isn't this an option?
Moved domain controller now i can't login

Assign an email address to an unassigned request
Is there a way to setup the helpdesk to when an new unassigned request can be sent to an email address. We have one helpdesk email account that all tech receive emails from. Right now techs receive emails only when a request is assigned to them. So is basically is there a way to assign an email address to an unassigned request. Thank You for all your help!![/google]
AD import - suggestion
When wishing to re-import requesters from AD can there be an option included that will not let the import over write existing requesters? Thanks
Searching resolution text...
Yesterday I attempted to show my manager how we could search and find text typed into the Resolution field of a request. Turns out you can't. I contacted support and they verified that you can't. They will "put it on their list of maybe". Does anybody else think this is odd? Do you live well without this feature? I always thought that one of the benefits of the accumulated data was to be able to search and find information entered by "those who've gone before us" Am I using it wrong?

CPU/Memory/Disk Utilization
Hi friends, I've just installed the free version on a Windows 2003 server and can't get the CPU/Memory/Disk Utilization monitors to work on the same machine. I suspect that SNMP is not configured properly on my server, because I don't see a little blue star. The SNMP service and Trap service is running but I have a few configuration questions related to the SNMP service: 1. Do i need to configure anything under the "Traps" tab? 2. On the "Security" tab, do I need to check the "send authentication
New monitor aplications manager 6

Install problem with Red Hat ES 4.0 - latest patches
Hi all, My install works successully and then dies once I try to load the app using run.sh. I've tried installing the app as root and a normal user with no luck. It dies with "Trying to start MySQL server failed" but the mysql server is running. It I try again, it says that port is in use. When I run .startDB.sh it starts the DB fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Choosing groups from user request
I am new to this software and am getting familiarized with it's use. Is it possible for the user to select a group to send a request to, instead of just the general area. We have 4 groups and would like for the user to send directly to that group. Thanks.
Reporting Problem - Consolidate Report
Hi, I am new to using Netflow and could do with some help. I am looking at the report say for example Volume for an interface - but when you go to Consolidate report it comes up different - the % figures are different as are the total sizes? Anyone have any ideas? I have gone through nearly everything I can think of but cannot solve this!!! Cheers

not able to see Resource monitors for Router (With Snapshots
I have added Resource monitors for Router but it is not showing any data. But all the details work well in "solarwinds" and it shows all the "CPU Utilization" and "Memory Utilization" monitor that means my MIB is correct. And OPManager taken Interfaces Configuration details automatically when i add ip of that particular router. Please help. Regards, Trisha
Using SD+ Database via Crystal Reports on a remote machine
I've managed to get Crystal reports working beautifully on the SD+ server, but for the life of me I can't see to connect to the database from a remote machine. Each time I get... [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Can't connect to MySQL server on 'remotepcname' (10061) Any idea's where I'm going wrong? From reading elsewhere I think I need to grant my remote machine access to the MySQL DB, but I'm not sure of the right santax to use. Inventory scan - changes
Is it possible to update the inventory scan of hardware and software so that when a scan is run, it will highlight and show the updated/added software on the actual list, instead of in a pop-up box which shows added and removed software?? Everything should be on one page after running the latest scan for changes.

Mode - "Web Form" cannot be edited
Hi, The system does not allow you to change the words "Web Form" when you are setting up the "Modes" that supported by the help desk. I guess I can understand why you wouldn't allow me to delete this particular mode but why can't I change the Title or Description for this entry. I can type in either field but the Save button is disabled. Thanks Jerry

Hello, I added a Unix host, then I deleted it and now I want to put it back. But the application say that the host can not be added because already exist. Exist where?
Report on Due Date Changes
I think I know the answer to this question already, but I wanted to get confirmation: Can you run a report to look into request history to see how many times the due dates have been changed for multiple requests? I know that I can just open each ticket and look at the request history, but someone here wants to see this for many tickets at once in a report format. Thank you. -JDG
Linux router.
Hi there, Is it possible to get and analyze Netflow exports from routing device based on Linux OS? To generate NetFlow exports i use ndsad utility from http://www.netup.biz/ndsad.php. I can see the NetFlow packets on the server where NF installed on port 9996 using tcpdump but in NF i see the following: No Router is currently exporting NetFlow packets to NetFlow Analyzer.
3Com support
Hi, Looking at the supported 3Com devices I can only see the 4400. Has anyone had any success in managing other devices such as 5500, 3870,4400PWR, 4500 and 4250's ? The 5500's and the 4500's are using the 3Com OS so i do not envisage a huge problem in creating a template for managing them. Server with Dynamic IP address
I am trying to monitor a server that unfortunatley has a dynamic IP address. It appears that when I add the server it resolves the name and ONLY uses the IP address. When the address changes, I loose the server. Any way to have it use Name Based?
Inconsistency between netflow results and SNMP
Has anyone noticed inconsistency between netflow and MRTG SNMP result? I have a 384Kbps Frame-Relay circuit, when MRTG shows it has reached 300Kbps, Netflow only show around 100Kbps.

On some computers (Windows XP SP2 IE 6.0.2900) We can't acces the loginpage. When trying to access the page The Internet Explorer crash (se included file). I just want to ask: if you havee 5 notification profiles on OP Manager, is there a way to have 1 of the notification profile be disabled for a certain time, but the other 4 profiles still continue to give alerts 24hours ? jjcubillan@gmail.com
Device Response Time Questions
hi, if I open up a device it comes up with the today's availability, device response time and today's packet loss amongst other stuff. I want to know what protocol the device response time is being measured on (icmp?) and if it is icmp can the packet size be controlled. There also doesn't seem to be any report based on this counter - there are response time by service reports and response time by service also appears on the home tab but no response time by icmp(?) in report form of on the home tab.
Inventory screen refresh
Hi Is there any way to retain the advanced filter once applied? To explain a little further, I apply a filter to restrict workstation names to those beginning ROOM1, edit one of the workstations and save it. I am then returned to the inventory screen showing a preset filter of all systems. Is there a way of changing this behaviour? Regards Paul

I'm trying to write a VBScript that can talk to opmanager and get the stats of specific servers/devices/etc by a quick call. I've wrote one that occasionally works and can very rarely pull the appropriate data from the snapshot page, but its obviously having issues loggin in. SQL query to change categories
I have 26 different categories in ServiceDesk Plus. I would like to remove all 26 categories and replace them with 10 new categories. My plan is to add the 10 new categories, then run a SQL query to remap the old categories in requests to the new categories. For example: in my old category list, I had three different categories for printers: "Desktop printers", "Office printers", "Mobile printers". I want to have a new category just called "Printers", but I want all the previous printer requests
