OpManager Support Tab delay annoyance
Whenever the "Support Tab" is clicked on the OpManager MSP Central Server, there is quite a lengthy delay (several minutes) before the page is displayed. I did a little network snooping and determined that the problem is caused by the OpManager server trying to connect to the nonexistent private address 192.168.4.158 on port 80. Once that times-out and fails, then the page is rendered. I'm not sure what is causing this be behavior. This is not a big deal, but quite annoying. Anyone got any clues
Feature Request: Generic request form (no login required)
Hi We don't provide our customers with web logins. However, what we would like is a generic form any customer could use to submit a request, without needing to login. It would be quite simple, and simply ask for the email address, subject/body at a minimum. Then we could disable our support mailing address and address a huge spam problem we have. Maybe this is already possible? As a workaround we can develop our own web form of course, but it would be neat if it was integrated into SC. al.

How to disable auto-detect?
How do i make it so EventLog Analyzer does not auto-add my firewall syslog? I have a standalone, program that gathers the syslog for my firewall on port 514. When I launch EventLog Analyzer, it automatically adds my firewall as a Host. This is causing my other program to stop collection the syslog files. is there a way to disable the auto-add host?

Window NT 4 Domain not collecting data
1.) I am Running the 4020 Build of the Software. 2.) WMI is installed and working on the domain controllers. 3.) EventLogAnalyzer has them both at a green status 4.) I manually scanned multiple times with no success 5.) I have deleted the servers and readded them. I verified the login on both and it is successful, but still no logs. 6.) Missing Event Log Rules
Hi, I installed a new probe (number 12 or so) and added about 80 Windows servers. Adding WMI monitors works fine so Windows Admin account and password are correct. When I try to add Event Log Rules I get Configure Event Log Rules screen with only System field with Netlogon in it, and Directory Service field with some NTDS rules. There are no DNS, Application Rules. Does anyone have an idea. This is the first probe with this kind of problem. This problem is the same for all servers on this probe.
Monitoring Service accout getting lcked out!!!
Hi, We are using our monitoring generic id in Appliactions Manager monitoring. From yesterday evening it is getting locked out frequently. We are sure that this is due to some wrong password supplied in Appliactions Manager. It is quite impossible to go and reconfigure the password for our 600+ monitors. disk i/o for windows servers
I have activated the disk i/o statistcs option in the admin section but am not seeing i/o stats in the windows monitors. the feature was activated several days ago so the servers have polled many many times since then. any thoughts as to why i am not getting disk i/o statistics in my windows monitors? Interface polling
Hi all, Using MSP, for reference. When a server has two or more interfaces, how is the polling done on them? Does a ping request go to each of their ips? Is it possible to permanently assign a second ip to the server for polling so that in case it is unavailable (nic disabled, cable unplugged, ip changed, etc), an alert is generated just for that interface? We will have some customers who only wish to have a few servers monitored, but may have several hundred devices on their network, we don't want OpManager to auto populate the system with all these devices, as manually deleting or un-managing them would be painstaking. Unable to monitor AD part
Hello, I'm finishing to build the pilot for our monitoring project and I added AD monitor part. Opmanager is unable to get any information using AD monitor part. I did the recommandation provided by microsoft wmiadap.exe /f, I'm using an account with Domain Admin rights but still to have N/A for every thing and addtional monitors didn't showed something. Idea: Autodetection of autoreplies
Hi, The ability to filter junk notifications, to handle autoreplies, is useful. However, everyone has different autoreplies, and I think the problem will always resurface with looping autoreplies as there will always be a new customer with a unique autoreply email. I suggest a better fix, is to have SC detect that an identical message was sent (say, in the last hour) and filter it out. Better yet, flag the conversation as a "looping autoreply" so we know that SC has done this. In the mean time, I
Request title is a required field but can be BLANK
We continually get requests from clients with no title specified. I can even go in as the administrator and create a new ticket for a client, and leave the title blank on purpose (it's a required field) and no warning/error message is given. Request is created with a blank title. Running latest build (5034). Please advise.
SSH sessions left over on monitored linux machine
I'm monitoring many linux machines via SSH, and on all of them it appears that AppManager is not closing its sessions when it logs in to perform its checks. I have dozens of sessions on each box, all of them initiated roughly 5 minutes apart. Can I do anything to fix this?

When I run the inventory report, most devices show up as others or Non-SNMP, even though they have been discovered correctly and when I go to the SNMP Devices section they show up in there. Any ideas?

Device Expert - Multihomed server - How to select IP for TFT
I am evaluationg Device Expert, and the server is multihomed (one nic for accessing the server and another nic for the server to access the routers). Backup is failing because device expert is sending the wrong ip address for the tftp download of configuration. How does one specifiy which nic to work with?

Unable to enter resolutions to some requestors
We have a series of requestors whose requests are unable to have resolutions entered. When we select "reoslution" from the page, the attached error is produced. I have removed the requestor from the list and resync'ed the AD. The requestor has since created a new request and the same issue is present. we have reported this previously and were advised to upgrade to the newest version. Unable to open web client in linux
I have installed Opmanager on linux platform {Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 3 (Taroon)}. I am logged in as root and execute StartOpManagerServer.sh file to start the server. Then I execute StartOpManagerClient.sh to start the client. Instead of getting the web client login page(refer to figure 1) I get MapMaker login pop up window (refer to figure 2). Hotfix 6011 and server service response times
Since hotfix 6011 was applied all of our server service response times are consistantly higer. All services are in the 150-300ms range when they were averaging 10-20ms before the hotfix was applied. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Tack directory usage
Hi, Currently, we use "Directory Sizer" (www.franzo.com/dirsizer2/) to track directory usage on our file servers. It is like partition monitoring in OpManager but you can go down several level (configurable) of sub-folder through a web interface and see the evolution, so you can easily find where data has been added or deleted.
