Unable to monitor APC UPS
Hi, I am trying to monitor my APC UPS but without succes. The only information that I able to get is the load of the UPS. Furthermore I have double checked my SNMP configration and they are OK. Anyone knows what can be causing this? Regards, Urvin
Problem with Vendor Monitor IBM xSeries
Hello! I'm having problems getting the Vendor Spesific Monitor: IBMPSGTemperatureSensorCurrentReading to work at all. Have gotten cpu, memory and disk monitors working, and got snmp working ok. It is an IBM X346 with Windows 2003 Server SP1. Pls. assist, don't know what I'm doing wrong, but that is not strange considering I'm a newbie at this.

Changing AD Username in SD+
My company currently uses ServiceDesk+ on our local AD Domain. We are being absorbed in to the Corporate Office Domain and AD. Locally we have always used FirstInitialLastName as our AD Login. When we move, we will have a new login Dxxxxxxxx (unique number). How can I make this move and not have to re-configure the entire ServiceDesk again and also retain all of the current tickets and history associated with them?
Monitoring an untrusted/one-way trust domain
Our firewall is sitting in a domain with a one-way forest trust to our office domain. Is there any guidelines on how to monitor a machine which is not in a trusted domain? I have opened the DCOM ports and service discovery is still failing (RPC server is unavailable). Thanks, Colin
Encoding in outgoing e-mails
Hi! Just want to start by saying thanks for a great product. It has really helped our support a lot. But lets get down to it. When our support-reps reply to an e-mail sent from an hotmail account, some of the letters in the e-mail gets scrambled. This is only the Swedish characters (of course). I�m guessing your using a US-standard type of encoding, and most of web-mails can understand the scrambled letters and make them into the correct letter, but Hotmail doesnt really work. Devices behind a PIX 515
I have 3 Cisco devices that are in DMZs behind a pix firewall. All 3 switches have the same correct community string, and they all point to opmanager which resides on the internal side of the firewall. All cisco devices on the internal network were discovered fine, and give accurate alarms. The 3 cisco devices that are in the dmz's however will not stay green. I have the firewall opened to all 3 dmzs from the internal network with static acls allowing udp and tcp 161, and tcp 162, and udp snmptraps
Unable to remove default login details (SD Ver 5036)
I have just downloaded SD ver 3056 and would like to trial it, although I can change the administrator and guest password I cant remove default login details screen from the login page. When I click on the remove login details it doesnt work, I just get error on page in the bottom left hand side box. I am running IE 7 could this be a problem ? Thanks

Can not create business rules. Is it possible to allow requester to view (may be edit) not his own requests only? I don't mean Head of department feature. Sometimes we need that some requests may be accessed by different requesters from different departments.

OpManager and Ticketing
I am currently an evaluator of the Opmanager MSP application: In the latest release Opmanager MSP has integrated the SupportCenter Plus ticketing application. That is great ! One of the nice features I liked from the SupportCenter is that customer could log issues directly via a webinterface. Within the Opmanager only ticket generation via email seems to be supported. Am I missing something ? Looking forward Sijbren

Hello - I upgraded my SD 6.0 to 6.0.0.1 and now, all of my tickets have this net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.ClobImpl@1ca1a68 in their descriptions. I am using MSSQL and followed the instructions on this forum for upgrading to 6.0.0.1. I also tried reverting back to a previous data backup but that did not resolve the issue. anyone else with this issue? Also, any new tickets created also have that error message in their decription.

Business Rules, Dates Conditions
Hi Is it possible to add a business rule for overdue requests?? I want the option to trigger an action of modifying the status of the request when the due date expires, or when another date field expires. Like having the condition Due Date is Today date or something similar. Something like the conditions are in the requests custom filters, to have them into the business rules. Do you have plans to add this kind of functionality in a future version of the application? Thanks Carlos

MSSQL Application Monitor
Running build 6015 I have two SQL servers Server A Server B Added mssql application monitor to server A, checks fine. Works like a charm. Added mssql application monitor to server B, says added but never shows. The DB shows under Server B. Can it run on both servers? How do I remove it from server A? There is no option to REMOVE the application monitor once added. I've even deleted both servers and added in server B, hoping to get the mssql monitor but it never shows.

OpManager MSP 6003 Bugs and Future Enhancements ideas
Before getting into the bugs, I want to say, the enhancements to the "Custom Reports" found on the "Reports" tab (i.e. ability to report on custom monitors) are greatly appreciated and will be very useful for our organization. Notification for Groups Not Working
I already reported this issue to tech support, but I would like to know if others experience the same behavior. I configured certain group members to receive notification when a request is placed in their group's queue, and I also configured the Notification Rules to enable group notification. Strange Security(?) Issue
I came across a strange issue today. One of our Technicians was editing his request, specifically changing the Category and Sub-Category. When he clicked the save button the page seemed to post, but it actually reverted to the previous Cat and Sub-Cat values. I tried to edit the same request using my admin login and had no issues, so I then made him an admin, logged out, cleared the cache and logged in. Problem with OPManager-MSP on VMWare Server
Hi, We are evaluating the OPManager-MSP platform and installed it on a w2k3 as a quest on VMware Server. The OPManager-MPS collects data from remote probes via https. During our evaluation we do not get a stable connection between the probes and the central OPManager MSP server. The OPM-MSP server sends a regular stream of email messages that probes are up and down. UP / Down messages from both probes have the same timestamp. Helo, I am trying to monitor SAN disk drives attached to my 2003 server. The only drives I can see to monitor is C or A drives. How can I monitor this drives using opmanager? I tried different things but I just can't see this drive letters to monitor the disk usage. I need your help. mdereje
SLA Reporting
I am looking to pull of some reports based around SLA violation. I need one report that will tell me how many requests a technician has closed and how many of those violated the SLA. Something like this Technician Bob Jack Pete Requests 12 32 21 Overdue 1 3 2 Could someone let me know how I can do this please? No Web Reports, no live data
I just checked the packet counts and it shows this: 10.1.1.15 290872 2007-03-22 15:09:25 However, I have no Web Report data. I tried reinitialzing the database yesterday but no change. Also, I have no data for Live Reports. The "Traffic Report" shows some traffic, but almost all is category Unknown (ARP Issue). There's plenty of Web surfing going on!

Devices Behind a Firewall
Hello, I have just downloaded and installed OpManager and started adding devices to be monitored by it. I however have run into a problem, I can not seam to add individual devices behind a firewall/router. When I add the device it sees it just fine, but instead of making a separate device for it, it just adds the interfaces to the router. I am access the devices through port forwarding since the only piece of equipment on the network that has a public IP is the router/firewall. Is there a way around
