Customising notifications
At the moment I can customise notifications with a signature, adding $Technician to the end but I would like to add the technician's job title. Is it possible to create additional variables for inclusion? Or maybe I'm just missing something!
How to monitor JMX app through firewall using Telnet ping
I am having trouble getting AppMan to monitor a JMX app through a firewall where the Ping is not active. I have tried switching to monitor Telnet on port 23 but the JMX still reports monitor failed due to ping. I can monitor the Telnet using AppMan so I know the port is open. I have edited the conf file to look for port 23, instead of default ping port. Restarted AppMan each time and there are no existing monitors setup. How can I deactivate the ping check to monitor the JMX or at least switch the
REQUEST: Ability to view Sub-Categories when viewing request
Pre SD6, we were able to view subcategories as it didn't separate categories and sub categories. I very much prefer keeping them the same as they were rather than separating them, but if they must be separated, I would like to at least have the option to view by subcategories. We have many offices by which we categorize, and I like to be able to view those offices (subcategories) grouped together when I am getting ready to go on site. Thanks, Derek

I�m trying to set up Navicat so I can manage the MySQL database for ServiceDesk. I�m having trouble connecting to it. What is the correct port number to use? I'm sure that whoever set up ServiceDesk probably used the default port number. Thanks!

release candiate
I installed the release candiate you sent me and have been trying to load the release version over it but it keeps saying that it running do I want to uninstall. Do i need to uninstall the release candiate to install the released version. If I do this will my test data be deleted?
ServiceDesk plus-notification option
I am trying to do this. I am setting up the notification rules so when some specific requests are assigned to some techniccias, the whole request inlcuding attachments is forwarded to the technician. I am using the notification rules but it seem the e-mail notiofication cannot include the attachments in the request.

does anyone have experience integrating Applications Manager with Dell Openmanage applications? Openmanage can handle physical problems such as removing bad disks from RAID sets or shutting down bad power supplies. We would like to be able to visually see these failures in one integrated screen on AppManager as well as get notifications from AppManager.
User Template - Groups Member Of
Hello, I'm just testing AD Manager Plus at work. We need it to delegate users creation to our Help-Desk I have create a user template... It's OK. Everything goes fine except the Groups Member Of. I add Member Of on the template but when i use this template, there is just "Domain Users" in this line. is it because i use a trial licence ? Do you have an idea ? Unable to view Scanned software under Inventory
Can anyone help I am trying to view the Scanned software page under Inventory and I am just getting the page that I have pasted into the below Word document. I have tried clearing my cache but problem still persists., At first I thought it was an issue with IE7 but I have also tried it with IE6 and get the same problem.
CPU Utilization on IA64 - RHEL 4
Hi, I'm testing the Application Manager and since I add the first server (RHEL 4 on IA64) the CPU always is on 100%. The AppManager is running on a RHEL 4 on Intel EM64T. I've saw some topics where you solve the problem with a patch, can you help me with this ? I'm including the support file of the application. Let me know if you need something else. Solaris Host Resource Mibs
Hi all, I try to use Application Manager to monitor a Solaris Machine. However, it fails because the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB is not implemented in the Snmp Agent. Could you tell me how to implement it in Solaris Platform. . I want to know how to add extra MIB as "Host-resource" MIB. The snmp agent in solaris is installed and just has a few mib at all. Problem accessing NT 4 logs
I am running build 4020, and I am unable to access my NT4 server. I have installed the wmi core for NT, the connection test works, and the NT4 server shows a successful logon from the event log server, but no events are showing up. Is the hotfix from prior versions still required for this problem? Thanks
segmentation fault
I'm trying to install Netflow Analyzer on Ubuntu 6.10. When I try to run the .bin file to begin the installation I immediately get a "segmentation fault" error. Any ideas on this? Also, if you have any general tips or a guide for installing on Ubuntu or Debian I would surely appreciate it! Thanks. tcbonline

I have to say I am very pleased with Password Manager Pro, I purchased both it and EventLog Analyzer. I have to admit, though, I was surprised to find out that the built in Admin account is part of a 5 user CAL. That's kind of lame. Thanks again.
What ports have to be opend on a firewall
I'm trying to do a domain scan for workstations. I'm running into a problem. We use firewall on our laptops that is blocking access. The message is "Connection to RPC server in the workstation failed. ". If I disable the firewall, the scan is successful. Please let me know what ports must be opened in order to get a successful scan. TIA. Hank Arnold

Limitations of NetFlow on a 6500 in HYBRID mode w/Sup 720
Ok, I'm trying to setup NFA to work on a Catalyst 6500/Sup720 running in Hybrid mode. I've skimmed these forums, and it seems to be a default to provide links to configure NetFlow for Native mode, which doesn't help me any. I've given up on configurating NetFlow on the MSFC, because all I see is inbound packets. This is inline with how MLS on the MSFC in hybrid mode works, so I don't expect to see output traffic, so I relegated to trying to get Netflow and NDE working properly on the Supervisor.

New Probes don't register
Hi, We're using MSP 6003. When adding a new probe in the Server it is added to the Trial Probes (where all probes resists, strange, no mather wether I add it as a trial probe or a registered probe). When I install a new probe, the update to MSP6003 is loaded and installed well, but the probe does not register. Hello, I noticed that for one probe the database was corrupted. Only 7 servers left out of the 80. Watched error logs and saw that since a specific time all IP adresses from servers are changing to 0.0.0.0 I talked to a Windows colleague, he stated that around that time our DNS server had servicepack 1 for Windows 2003 installed. Does anyone had this experience or an explanation. Dear, I use the LDAP import feature. It work very well, I specify my LDAP server (Active Directory based), my user to grant the access and the pmp user that I would like to add. I work very fine, the user receives its credential by mail and is able to log by LDAP. But is it possible to add an user from another domain that the domain where my personal user is defined ? I have a question about the alert percentage threshold. What does the percentage represent? Is it just a percentage of the bandwidth for the selected interfaces or is it an agregate percentage of all of the interfaces that are configured on the system. I have different Business View in my system, but the notification that it generates is not reflecting in my Global View.
