Cannot change SD to use my own mysql DB
Hello I cannot change sd to use my own mysql db. I installed sd and made sure it worked fine. Then i ran the changedbserver.bat and configured it to point at my mysql server. tested the connection and hit save. Now after changing the database i cannot start the sdserver. it crashes with the error ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus started. INFO | jvm 1 | 2007/06/27 16:14:22 | Unable to start MySQL server on port 3306. Please free the port. ERROR | wrapper | 2007/06/27 16:14:23 | JVM exited unexpectedly.
OID's of varbinds
Hello, Is there any provision to display the OID of the varbind of a trap. Currently it is showing the varbind name : varbind value. it would be better if we have one more column in the Trap receiver screen for varbind OID. Thanks, Rajashri. rajashri
Notifications Working as Intended?
Howdy, First i must say fantastic piece of software. Now back to my issue. Someone please correct me if im wrong, but the email notification in the notification settings, should be sending an email to the technicians i specify (myself) when i or anyone else creates a new request? (yes ive ticked the lil box) So lets say 9 users submit tickets i should get 9 emails saying: A new request with request id $RequestId has been created by $RequesterName. last login time with mutiple domain controllers
Hi All, We have recently purchased AD Manager Plus and have found a troublesome problem when attempting to get certain figures from certain reports. Such an example would be the last login time. Basically we have four domain controllers in one of our Data Centres, and it looks like AD Manager Plus only communicates with the domain controller at the 'top' of the list from Edit Domain Settings. Tickets re-opened when user replies via e-mail
-- ServiceDesk+ 6.0.0.3 running on an MSSQL database -- Hypothetical situation: A requester creates a ticket with a 4-hour priority. I close the ticket 1 hour before it is due (because I'm awesome). SD+ notifies the user via e-mail that the ticket has been closed. 3 hours later, the user replies to the e-mail with "Thanks!" This causes SD+ to re-open the ticket and causes it to go over-due immediately. That's bad. I've messed around with the e-mail templates and no matter how much the user modifies

Problem with icons in webportal
Hi to all, If I use firefox it seems to work better with preview links in web portal configuration. BUT I cannot add icons with my links, even if I specify a file, users who access to the webportal do not see the icons (neither do I). Any clue to add the icones in the links section? Thanks
Mib Browser does not show exact errors.
Hello, MIB browser does not show line number which caused the problem while loading MIB in the MIB database. It just displays the message : Unable to parse MIB file - MIB file name. This is quite time consuming process for user to go through complete MIB (as user has no idea where the exact problem is and check for any errors. SNMP String Value
I request SNMP Values from an Temperature Measure Software. Unfortunately OpManager isn't able to use String Values for his graphs (but get them in the Monitor Test and the MIB Browser?). Is there any possibility to get the correct Values (for example I get the Values with *10 and OpManager calculates with /10 for the graph or something else)? If this is not possible, where can I format the graphs so that the Zero Line isn't Zero Value?

Hi I have custom monitor that test mailq size. I have tested the the SNMP with the following command from the server: snmpwalk -Os -c PASS -v 1 HOST .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.8.1.101. That works fine. Op Manager 7 -- not able to set thresholds
If I try to set a threshold on a disk partition, no threshold is set. I can set a threshold on overall disk usage, but not on a particular partition. Since the main use for us is monitoring servers to ensure no out of space errors, monitoring partition thresholds is critical. Additionally, the 6.0 version wizard could set thresholds for system monitors easily. How can I set a threshold for ALL of my servers without visitng each of them? I've setup a group of users who only have access to the contrats tab. under roles i've checked full control for contracts and selected the option Assigned to him for Requests technician is allowed to view. However when the tech logs in they are able to see all the contracts no matter which user created them. How can i get it so they can only see the contrats they make.

I have an admin server with a raid 1.0 that has the OS and the main AdventNet application manager software loaded. I also have a separate raid 6 configuration with large data storage and would like the MySql DB to be housed on this. I Was wondering if you had instruction for separating the main application manager software and the mySQL db on separate drives. I see that there is the Failover configuration where the DB is on a separate computer so I would thing there is a simple configuration change

program doesn't recognise workstation in workgroup
hello, i'm using the program for a few days now (first the free now the trial version) the inventory module doesn't see my ccomputers. i'am running the program on xp pro (sp2) i have one xp machine and a vista laptop i don't have a domain but a workgroup (mshome) i made sure i have full admin rights at both pc's but the program says "no response from workstations probably the workstations are switcht of or not existing. can somebody tell me what i am doing wrong?

Cisco ports not showing up
I am using 7.0 GA version and on one of my cisco 6509's, a group of ports on a couple different modules are not showing up when I view the interfaces. I can rediscover and they will show up, but if I try to add them, it won't. On another 6509 and 4948, ports didn't show up when I added the device, but I was able to rediscover and add the ports afterwards just fine. I have deleted the device then readded it, tried adding one port at a time, stopped the service and restarted, but nothing has worked.
