OpManager 7.0 build #7010 - Apply without GUI in Linux?
Is there a way to install build 7010 without the use of UpdateManager.sh? I don't have a way to use the graphical interface and the server is remotely installed. Thanks in advance!
OpManager 7 -- deleting a server
For various reasons I had to delete the definition of a server, and then add the definition back in. The delete seemed to work, but when I add the server back in it says the device already exists. But I cant find the device anywhere! 1. The network view doesnt show all devices on the subnet, even if such devices show up under servers etc. How do you force the network view to update? 2. How do I clear the problem of a definition that exists, but doesnt seem to show up anywhere? Thanks Nick.

Hello: I am using fprobe on Linux (2.4 & 2.6) to send netflow exports to NetFlow Analyzer. fprobe <ip>:<port> I havent seen any flows yet. My question is: [1] Does manage engine support fprobe? [2] if not, how else can I send flows from a Linux box to analyzer? Thanks, Jay
Opmanager 7 -- not able to delete a monitor
I added a server, and added a monitor on a disk partition. I set a threshold, and an alarm was generated because the threshold was violated. Subsequent analysis showed that I should not have been monitoring that particular partition. I deleted the alarm, and deleted the monitor. However, the monitor refuses to remove. I dlete it, but the redisplay still shows the monitor. And it is still monitoring -- it is not some ghost. How do I delete this monitor?
Wrong "time" after upgrading 7010
Hello, Today, i installed the 7010 Upgrade on my OpManager. After the installation was successful, some parts of the text were wrong. For example: Before the upgrade in the right above corner at the "Home" page of my OpManager, there was the option "last 12 hours", "last 24 hours" and so on. But now there is only webclient.reports.timeframe.last12hrs webclient.reports.timeframe.last24hrs webclient.reports.timeframe.today webclient.reports.timeframe.yesterday webclient.reports.timeframe.last7days

Icons missing on new Business view
When I create a new map in version 7 I can place the devices on the map and change their icon to the device icon but they do not show on the screen after you save the view. When you go to the new business view it shows the number of devices but the icons do not show on the map. The really weird part is if you cannot see the devices on the map but if you mouse over the map the details of the device pops up. I even tried giving the map a background image and that shows but the device icons do not.

Hi all, Its my first time here. I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction. I have setup email notification to alert my when disk space is low on a business view or servers. I get the alerts but the thresholds are wrong. License question
If i buy a 10 interface license, is that the sum of the interfaces i can monitor or it is per device? So, can i monitor 3 devices with 10 interface each (in total 30), or i can only monitor 2 devices with 5-5 interfaces? Also, is this the same with the free edition? (2 device with 1-1 port or X device with 2 port?)
GRE_App?
Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone knew what the hell GRE_App is? It came up as being an application which is using 12% of total traffic and there is no port number listed, just a *. Ive just started using netflow analyzer so im a glorified n00b... i couldnt find any google hits to GRE_App... I am currently evaluating the product to see if ADManager can replace our current vb scripts for report and managing of AD. One of the challenge is to modify the TS profile attribute of specified users. To find the users, I have to create a query searching for users with a spesific existing content in the TS Profile attribute. OpManager 7 -- scheduled reports are blank
I installed Opmanager 7004, and scheduled reports were all blank. I upgraded to 7010, and now some reports have data, but some are still blank. In particular, Server_Least_Volume is still blank. Thanks Nick.
OpManager Weblogic Trap parsing
Hi I have installed OpManager under Redhat. All is fine but I am having a nightmare with trap receiving. I have loaded the BEA WebLogic MIB tree which works fine in the MIB browser - although it takes a while to generate and Firefox alerts with a script error. I am receiving traps form a monitored device in unsolictored traps. Specifically Server up and server down traps. I have tried to assign the traps as those from the MIB tree and also as customised specific ones (see below) I have created a
XLS export failure
In SD7 Whenever I try to export an audit trail report to XLS (or CSV) it fails: FAILURE :Unable to execute report : C:\AdventNet\ME\ServiceDesk\bin\..\reports\302\null.jasper - HTML and PDF export works fine. Is this a known error?? and is there a solution to this? Regards

Hi. How can i customize a snapshot dial to be numeric, as the connection count in the firewall snapshot?. I have tried to copy the configuration for the firewall dial in opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml for a custom device type that i have created (ironport C100), but the dial that i get is a pie chart with a percentage, like the disk usage dial. Parent-Child Relationships
(1) Does anybody know if SD7 comes with the Parent-Child ticket relationship feature? What I want to be able to do is to create another ticket in response to the original ticket and have this ticket automatically correlated to the original. Error adding Business Rule

Error: webclient.fault.alarm.clear.status.failure
I get the above error while trying to clear an alarm on a node. No matter what I do, I can't clear the alarm - I always get the above error message. If I try to delete the alarm, I get "Problem in deleting alarm!". I don't want to remove/re-add the node because I don't want to lose the stats. What can I do?
Map Detailed View Flag Icons
I have OpManager 7 installed on RHES. When i look at Map and detailed view every memory, cpu and disk flag is grey (see attached). Should these be coloured depending on the status? Anyone else have this?

Hello, I'm trying to evaluate the FW Analyzer for my company and possibly resale. But, I'm having trouble getting the syslog feature to work with a pix on a linux host. I have tried shutting down the local syslogd and letting the FW Analyzer do the work. But, it doesn't seem to accept any messages from my PIX. Show logging just shows dropped messages. I have also tried setting it up to allow the local syslogd to accept the messages. This works correctly but how do I get the FW Analyzer to be aware
Domain Controllers Add-On Expired?
So, the Domain Controller add-on was in the trial version of OpManager 7010 I was using. I applied my license to OpManager which doesn't include the DC add-on. Now when I click on domain controllers I get the message "Active Directory Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed." Okay. But that is all it shows. What happened to my normal panel for this system? I used to (in 6) get just the normal display. How do I get that back? David.

OpManager not successful at polling nodes via SNMP
I just installed 7 on CentOS 5. Discovered the nodes ok, but OpManager isn't polling the nodes successfully. I have monitors configured, but they don't report anything, so I tried to test the monitor via the GUI and it reports back "The monitor did not respond to the test request". I tested the same OID in the MIB browser, and it worked fine. I then checked to make sure the credentials were the same. I checked and rechecked a bunch of times, cut and pasted the community I entered into the credential

Version 7 Scanning
Im having a few problems with printer scanning. Mainly none of our Canon IR devices are being populated with device details despite being configured with public as the community string. Alpha Category order on new request form pulldown needed.
I cannot find how to force the list of Categories in the Category pulldown on the request form to list alphabetically. The need will be there for Subcategories and Items as well. I hope I've missed something obvious. Help please.
moved sd+ to new server now won't scan pc's
as above subject, sd+ on both old and new server with same database and build version : 6.0.0 build 6008 the old server with sd+ will scan a new pc and import all the info, however the new server attempting to scan the SAME pc will report " rpc error or pc turned off" any ideas?

Hello I have installed a 30 day trial version of firewall analyzer 4. The product is great it gives very in depth analysis. I would like to know if it is possible to setup some kind of exception list. For example I have 50 computers on my domain, at present it logs data and usage for all 50 PC's. I would like 1 of these PC's to be exempt from any data gathering by this software. So it does not log any website logs or % usage. Is this possible?
