Issue with Custom Report from a Domain Controller
Good Day, I have created a series of custom reports for SOX Compliance for the servers that we have listed there. Everyone of them works perfectly with the exception of our domain controller...I will give you the steps i used and the results.. Go to the Reports Tab, clicked "Add New Report" Gave it the name Compliance Report 06 Selected compliance report from type Selected the server from Windows Group and clicked next Selected Daily the time to run and previous day for the top section Entered email
Graph Network card and VPN traffic
Good Day, I have a Sonicwall 4100 and 3 4060's I currently graph network traffic on. I would also like to graph VPN traffic on these devices. I have the SNMP mibs and they can retrieve bits in/ out, etc. Is this something that can be done with say an Interface template? How would I go about creating one? Thanks!

Hi, I have a WMI script that collects "total anonymous users" for all web farm servers. Controlling total size of collected logs
What's the recommended strategy to limit the amount of stored logs on the system? I need to limit the amount of logs that are store in the database so the disk doesn't gets full, are there any mechanism that automatically prunes log-entrys after it has reached a certain total size?
Monitoring process time and react
Hi, i'm trying to setup an alert that will react IF a process has been running for more than a value. Something like 1000 minutes. I can't see an option to monitor on this parameter. The only options i can see are - Availability - Num of Instances - Mem % - CPU % Is monitoring process time possible?
Error Removing Interfaces
Hi, Any time i go to remove an interface from a Switch/router via the interface tab of the device , Opmanager reports tht it is unable to remove interfaces. This very anoying as some of or Switches would have over 300 ports ad we would only want to view 5-6 of them. Also, when i go to alter a setting under the Interface Templates, e.g : Discards on port, after i have made the change, saved it and saved it again to the list of Ethernet (6) interfaces, all of the ports that i was previously NOT monitoring,
OPManager Web Page problem
Hi, I don't know where to properly address this concern because the feedback mechanism of the website is not working well. I'm currently evaluating OPManager and comparing it versus SolarWinds-Orion so I need as much as info that I can get out of OPManager. But I ran into an annoyance with the /opmanager page of adventnet.com because it loads EXTREMELY slow. Tiered Account Structure
We need a "tiered" Account setup. We have Accounts that have a corporate office, multiple divisions under the corporate, multiple regions under the divisions, and multiple sites under each region. Support Plans in SC+
Right now, I dont see any use for the Support Plan feature in SC+. We want to add a client a specific Support Plan Silver / Gold / Platinum and depending of the Support Plan that they have limit the number of case that they can open. For Example, Silver = 50 Cases; Gold = 100 Cases; Platinum = Unlimited. In that way we can put different values to the Support Plans that we sell and the client will also see the different because of the Response Time, SLA, etc will also be different. Regards

Unable to upgrade to 7 from 6
I'm trying to upgrade to OpManager 7 from 6 but after clicking the .exe installation package the application asks if I want to remove the installation, not upgrade it. How do I get around this problem?
Employee Search
How dose the employee seach work withthe location field? Searching by location dosent find anything no matter what AD fields we fill in. Is there any plans to expand this search capabiliy to search by other details such as office or address? Thansk, Graeme

Problem with 6005 Upgrade..
Hi There, We did the upgrade on the central server to version 6005 from 6004 and this seemed to go all good, the services started back up and we could access the central console and view the probes. After around 20 minutes (I am guessing the time it takes for the probes to update) I started noticing several had dropped off and were red. We logged into each one and all the services are running and the Icon is in the task bar indicating OpManager is running but no communication with the central server.

Is there a way to hide the Resolution from the user? As we want to encourage the technicians to put full resolutions in that can then be turned into "Solutions" it may not always be best to allow users to see this information (maybe sensitive). It would be nice if there was a feature similar to that of the tasks where you can choose to make this available to technician or technician/user. Regards Mike
Asset or Node - licensing and use query
Currently V 6 Pro - 20 techs, unlimited assets. For a lot of good reasons all our asset management is done manually - by this I mean that I enter all stuff in the Inventory by hand, network scan is not used. So, what actually counts as an Asset for licensing and is this the same as a node? I don't think it is but need to understand this better. Thanks bin

Backup via command line
Howdy, I am trying to get backups to run nightly automatically. The problem is that i need to shutdown service desk to perform the backup. I want to be able to shutdown service desk, backup the data and start servicedesk again via a batch script that i will schedule to run nightly. Does the shutdown script have any command line switches that stop the pause from happening at the end of the script? or could a script that does all this be included in a future release? Also does the backup and startSDP

hi, I have created a script monitor which regularly runs a .bat (batch) file. In the output settings, I have mentioned a output ile. My requirement is send some output to a output file.Depending upon value in output file some action has to be triggered. But I am unable to get any output in the output file. backup script, xcopy command not working
This sort of off-topic. I'm writing a script to backup OpManager every night. Is it possible....
When you view a device details, there are three main Circle detailing performance of Processor, Memory, and Disk Utilization. Is it possible to choose what goes in there. For example, for my Powerware UPS I could choose Load Percentage, or for a server I could choose Temperature instead of Processor? I think this would be a good idea if it is not possible as many devices I would like to check its 3 critical functions and they are rarely Processor, Memory or Disk Utilization. Thanks for an awsome

Percentages Over 100%
After the upgrade for build 4010. I get info like this: Traffic IN 373.85 MB 255,10% 20,93% 86,54% Traffic OUT 69.63 MB 73,81% 6,82% 16,12% Traffic In = 255,10%. This is happening on several interfaces, and this problem did not exist before the upgrade.

Custom Report
When creating a custom report and exporting out to PDF, it includes "important information" which was not requested. For example I do a custom report against the domain controllers for event id 627 (or security events with filter "change password attempt" I get the correct information under all events, however when i download the report I also get "important information". I just want a report on event id 627 or filter words "change password attempt"
Opmgr MSP Model
I am evaluating the MSP software and I have the Central site and the a Probe PC configured and operational. I have discovered some networks and I can see some alarms pertaining to those devices in the Central site PC. I want to enable snmp traps from these devices to be reported as well. I have configured the devices to forward these traps to the ip address of the probe PC and I can use my sniffer to see those traps hitting the Probe PC. But when I go to the Central site PC I do not see any snmp
how import New User from active directory??
Hi all; I have a question ; how can I add new requester from active directory that recently added? because the new users can not logon to webpage and create new request. I do import from active directory again (the user is available in active directory) but no new user has been add to requesters also they can not login to webpage. is there a way to schedule import only new users? I am looking to change CPU Utilization to CPU Load Average. The CPU spikes are not as big a problem as the load average climbing. I have changed the unix script to:command="top b n 1 | grep 'load'". The command produces output from the command line but I am getting no data. Replies to SD Emails Causing New Tickets
This has been going on for a few weeks now but when ever our users respond to a SD email, their reply creats a new ticket instead of being added to the current ticket. They are not changing the subject line so I am not sure why this is happening. Any ideas?
How many events are supported by Firewall Analyzer ?
Hi to everybody !! I finished to install the Firewall Analyzer on my network . I have 12 CISCO PIX Firewalls on the network. But the Advetnet guys told me that this application is able to support just 1,500 - 1,700 events by second . I have more than 2,000 events by second. Could anybody help me with this issue? Cannot move hosts to groups
I had all my hosts split into 4 groups. Suddenly all 4 groups are empty. The default group only has 1 host. When I go to assign hosts, only the host in the default group is available. And no hosts are listed in the "Selected for this Group" side.
