Is there a way to import old linux logs? I've got nearly 7 years worth I need to get into the software to decommission an older machine. Thanks!
Can't add attributes from large MIBs
Hello, I'm attempting to gather information via snmp from an F5 load balancer. After I create the SNMP monitor, I go in to add the specific attribute from the F5 MIB. I select the F5 MIB and the attributes show up on the screen as expected. I select the attributes I want and click Add Attributes but nothing is added to the monitor. There are 3 MIBs from F5, 2 of the 3 are 336KB and 234KB in size. The third is 12KB. I have no issue adding attributes from the smaller MIB, but the larger will not work.
Script execution action has broken variables
I'm using App Man 8.0. In some of my monitors i have the action to execute a program which i've written some scripts for. The problem is I need to pass the alert variables to my scripts which i do so by using the variables provided like $MONITORNAME, SEVERITY, $DATE, $RCAMESSAGE etc... This all works fine unless there is a whitespace in any of those variables. For example the $DATE variable gets replaced with something like Thu Nov 08 10:34:13 This ends up getting to my script as 4 separate variables
New "add attachment" button on client portal
We would like to give our clients the possibilities to add attachments to existing requests through the portal, at any time. Now this is only possible for new requests or via mail.

Dear, We received the license file for Enterpise Edition version 7. Security request
Can you please make a security group that has access to modify device details without giving someone full permissions to the monitors ect? I have people asking if they change the names of devices but the only way to do that is to give them admin rights.
AM lists first 99 databases only monitoring MS-SQL 2000
We have 200+ MS-SQL databases, yet AM only sees the first 99 databases and "_Total." Does anyone know of a workaround to view all MS-SQL 2000 databases using AM?

Reporting on Time Created
Is there a way to create custom reports based on Time Created and not just Date created? We want to see what time calls are coming in and more importantly how many calls are coming in after 5pm and before 8am. Thanks. :D

I have made a report, but it shows the RAM in bytes??? How can I make it in Megabytes? We use the latest version of Servicedesk Professional fully licenced. Moving Servicedesk
We are trying to move the application side of Servicedesk plus 7 Enterprise to another server. The problem we are having is that service desk is trying to recreate the Database. Is there a way we simply connect to the same database without having to backup and restore to a new one?
mail notification and exchange server
Quick Question- I have servicedesk plus in an environment where I have exchange set up, but do not have the ports open for pop3. I know you can set up mail notification with pop3, but I want to do it with exchange settings. Any Ideas if it can be done? My version I am using is version 7.0.0 Thanx, The Haber Group :?:
Server crash
Hello all, I'm in a bit of a pickle. We had a server crash and had some data corruption. Long story short I do not have a backup of SD+ other than our standard backup of the installation folder. Is there any way that I can reinstall the application and then migrate the data to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris
servicedesk enterprise trial on 2003 server
Hello, we are running ServiceDeskPlus enterprise newest Trial, also OPManager, OPManager tools and ADManager. The mysql is selected as DB�s in all cases, we are running it on win2003 server, all none of them are stable, they keep crashing, mostly the OPManager and OPManager utilise but also the ServiceDeskPlus and ADManager are crashing, they all run on their own ports and all run as individual service. We hope also that the poor performance will UP once we hit the DB�s on our mssql cluster. No errors
Cant rename state to other language SD+ 7005
Hi I have found a bug (I think). We use SD+ Build 7005 swedish language. Some futures are not enabled to change. Go to: Admin tab, helpdesk adjustments, status. All functions/features are disabled (grey marked). Is there anyone who can solve this? Regards / Robert Andersson Sweden

Discover Devices
I am only able to discover devices 255 at a time. I set my net mask to 255.255.0.0 and should be able to search for: start : 45.0.0.0 end : 45.0.255.255 Right? Well it only picks up 45.0.0.0 to 45.0.0.255. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks.

Ability to resend approval notices
If a user receives an approval notice email, but accidentally delete it before responding to it, there is currently no way to resend an approval notification. The only option is to create another approval which will generate another notification. You then end up with two approval submissions on the request, and only one will get answered. Perhaps there should be a button beside the approval in the request details that lets you quickly resend the notification email to the user.
Application distribution diagram on 6.1
Hi Support, I am currently using the Netflow Analyzer 5.5. Since there is some features that will be useful for us on the version 6.1, we are now evaluating this new version. When I go to the online demo of the Version 6.1, I found that I can no longer display the application distribution diagram any more. Instead, I can only find the "Protocol distribution diagram" which is not informative enough. Would you please advise how can I display the application distribution diagram again? Is the new version
Resend approval notice
Maybe I am missing something, but there doesn't appear to be any way to resend an approval notice in the event that the user deletes the email by accident. We can, of course, send another approval notice, but then that shows two identical approvals on the request, only one of which will be answered. Is there an option I am missing somewhere to resend the approval notice for an approval already in the system, or will I need to make this a feature request? I am running build 6014 btw.
Need to disable PassThrough Authentication
Passthrough Authentication isn't working for us, so I want to disable it. Unfortunately, the login box never pops up, so I am also unable to login with the local admin account. Is there a way to disable this so I can get in and re-scan AD?
configure SD Plus to run on port 80 rather than 8080
right now I get to SDplus by typing in http://servername:8080 I'm being told I need to configure SDplus on port 80 before I can do a CNAME addition so all my employees need to do is type in http://servicedesk and it will go to http://servicedesk.x.com Can someone help me. Thank you in advance! Dean

this request was posted over 2 years ago, has there been any movement on it? It was stated that it would go into the roadmap .......must be a very long road !!!! I would and i would guess that alot of users would find it very very benifical to have this, this is something that can be done using the likes of Cacti to trend your disk usage etc for capacity planning. Is there any update or has it been dropped? Cheers.
Monitoring DHCP
Looking at the list of available Windows services DHCP is not listed, however if you run through the Quick Configuration wizard DHCP is listed as a Windows service option. I added DHCP as a service monitor via this tool to one of my servers in OpManager (7021) but I cannot find it listed under any of the categories, nor has upgrading to 7023 resolved the issue.

Server crash
Hello, I am in a bit of a pickle. Our server crashed and we had some semi-serious data corruption. Long story short I don't have a SD backup of Servicedesk. I am completely baffled as to how to use Manage Engine to act on an unsolicited SNMP trap. I've configured it such that I see the trap show up in the Alert->Unsolicited list, but can't figure out how to associate an "action" with the received trap. I don't want to poll, just react if the trap arrives. Any suggestions? I've looked through every help file I could find, and searched all the online forums. Hello, When I'm inside of an IP Group and I go to the Source and Destination Tabs I see a lot of my IPs but all other IPs are listed under unaccounted. Netflow IP Group Data Correlation
I have an IP group with a single IP address. However, when viewing data in this group I have noticed that it captures traffic flows from other NAT addresses that are physically on the same device as the IP address from the IP group. I'm wondering how this is possible. Does it correlate the traffic since the source MAC address would be the same?
