Set This View As Default takes two attempts
I choose Sort By then Severity and then tick Set This View As Default, and the view reverts back to the previous view. It's only when I repeat this process that the view seems to take.
mulitple email address for mail fetching
Is it possible to configure the incoming mail fetching for more than one email address? My issue is we are starting a project where we expect at least initially a lot of support issues. We created a new email address for this project and autoforwarded the messages to the helpdesk email which creates the ticket just fine. But, we want to have the tickets related to the new email address to be categorized in Service desk automatically for this project category and assigned to a specific technician.

Has anyone gotten the survey results in SD6 to mean anything? What exact query are you using? The canned reports mean nothing as they are just raw numbers.

Can the system do a merge automatically on emails with the same Subject lines ? Either via RE: or another method ? I notice you can manually merge emails together, however we get many replies and conversations with the same subject line that could be merged automatically with a reasonable level of accuracy...

Groups report
I have tried to make a group members report on different groups that have swedish caracters (���) in the group name and it always fails. If I make a group members report that don�t have swedish caracters it succeeds. Can you assist or fix this in some way? Rgds Stefan
Redesigned criteria/rules selection
The criteria selection process for things like business rules, the spam filter, etc., is limited, not to mention buggy. What I propose is a new rules module that operates more like the rules in Microsoft Outlook. This would allow for much more advanced filtering capabilities throughout the system.
CSV import auto select fields
It would be nice if the CSV import feature would automatically select field columns if the names match those on the CSV import page. IE: 'First Name' would select the column in the CSV titled 'First Name', 'Phone' -> 'Phone', etc... This would help speed up the import process, since I'm unable to use the AD import feature (we are a sub-set of a larger domain and don't want to import every user).

I'm trying to install OpManager on a server that is also used as our AntiVirus management server. OpManager won't start if SEP Management Server Started First If you stop the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service then start OpManager, then start Symantec everything seems to be ok..... I don't see any port conflicts.... something to do with Java Virutal Machine versions I think.....? What logs do you need?
unattended availability alarm
Hello, I got a problem with 3 servers, every few minutes i have an availability alarm generated bye Opmanager (7.023). But those servers are fully operational, even when i have the alerts. I tried to remove servers from Opmanager and re create them, but same thing happen. I use Service monitoring, Performance monitoring and Url Monitors for those servers. As it generates 30 (or more) mail per hour, it's very annoying .. can someone please help ? thanks a lot C�dric
Database problem
We had a problem on Friday with memory utilization that required the server that OpManager is on to be rebooted. After the reboot it appears that there seems to be a problem connecting to the database. All of our settings are gone but we can still see our recent alarms. Today a coworker updated us from 7021 to 7024 in hopes that this would fix our problem. It did not. Has anyone ever encountered this from a reboot?
Unable to view Accounts under the Account Tab
We are using the trial version of SupportCenter to see if it will work for our company. We are having a problem viewing accounts, actually we can't see any accounts at all, under the Accounts tab. I created a contact, then created an account and associated that with the contact. I then created a request associated with the account. We can view Contacts and Requests under their respective tabs and get to the accounts using that method, however when we select the Accounts tab we are not able to see
OpManager not spotting additional memory?
On Monday evening I upgraded five servers with additional memory. From that point on they have been constantly triggering alerts, most at 100%. Yet if I check the server nothing of the sort is happening. It makes me wonder if OpManager somehow still considers the old memory value 100%, while the servers now feel free to move beyond that, hence the alarms and 100% values.
Working without servicedesk
Is this also working 100% without the servicedesk application installed? We use opmanager MSP and want to provide every custumor with admanager plus. But if we must install also servicedesk is will a very expensive application.
OpManager Doesn't Scale Well
We have been using OpManager for a few months now, and the CPU utilization on our server is through the roof. This product really needs to start using host based agents on the remote machines to send data back to OpManager. All of the larger product suites (OpenView, Altiris, etc.) do this for the simple reason that the monitoring host will get overloaded the large the implementation becomes. We are monitoring about 140 servers and about 20 routers and switches so the polling is quite intense. OpManager

New Business View fails to save
I setup a business view, move a few things about and hit save and then hit exit, yet I am then told "No Infra Structure View found with this name."
Ability to enable stop timer on Completed statuses
Timer does not stop when requests have one of the completed statuses. The option (checkbox) is disabled to let timer stop. This should be enabled for Completed statuses just as it it for In Progress statuses. Because of this issue, all our Elapsed Time data is inaccurate.
Switch interfaces set to poll 300sec but polls every 30mins?
HI, Switch is a dell powerconnect 5324. Half of the interfaces are set to 300secs and work. Others are 900secs. Two of the 300 secs always poll at 30mins. Tried changing to another value, left then set back to 300. Any reason or fix?
A "member of" property/attribute for multiple user
I need to run a "All Users" report with each user's group memberships listed. Is this possible? I know how to run the report for users in a specific OU/container. Is there a custom attribute I can add that provides those user's group memberships? I do not want to run a "Group report" with the members/users listed. Thanks for your help!!

Does this tool allow users to change their own OU? We have a very fluid and mobile workforce and it is a major headache keeping track of their current location. If we can pass this job to the users it would make everyones lives easier.

Hello, I'm trying to get the sms alert working. Over in the uk, most of the phones that opmanager say they support have gone end of life. I am able to get hold of a moto v3, but it only comes with a USB cable. Will it still work? Only I noticed it says it has to be a serial cable? Many thanks.

Hi, I'd like to know if it is possible to use Netflow Analyzer to monitor my local user's web browsing activities. What i want, is a list of what URLs were accessed by which ip address on my lan. I know netflow can list IP addresses, but thats unfortunately won't tell me what URL was visited. I have a Cisco 876 router and I'm using NAT to provide internet access for my lan users. Currently NBAR is not installed, but if it's needed to accomplish the task, I can upgrade the IOS to include NBAR support.
Limit Event Log Email Notification
I have an email sent to me when any server gets a certain event log. If a server get 50 of these in succession I get 50 emails. Is there any way to limit this - eg if an event occurs n times in x mintes then stop sending email notifications. Thanks.
Change detection on Cisco ASA
This screenshot seems to conflict itself. I submitted one of our Cisco ASA platforms for Real-Time Change Detection, and from the Inventory screen there is a green arrow which indicates it succeeded, but when I view the device details change detection reports disabled.
Business Views order
Hi, I have just migrated from v.6 to v.7. On Home Page of OpManager, in Business Snapshot view, I can see just few business views. Custom Devices in OpMan - Same system OIDs
Hi there, We are currently running mostly HP DL360 servers with 2003 server. Most monitors we require work in Opman. However we run several different hardware versions of the DL360 which also use different MIB OIDs for the hardware but all use the same microsoft 2003 system OIDs. We really need to make several device templates for each hardware version but we are unable to create them properly as we can only have one associated with the microsoft 2003 OS OID. Is there any way to have more than one
