NBAR unknown application
Hi, I'm getting high usage of unknown application from NBAR. From Netflow application, the only high bandwidth usage is microsoft-ds, so can I assumed that the unknown reported by NBAR is windows application. If it's correct, why is NBAR not able to identified microsoft applications or it is because Cisco's PDLMs is not able to identify. Hello, I'm using SDP 7.0.0 Build 7.0.0.9 German on Windows an connect with IE7 or Firefox 2. The "add new vendor" Button in the "add new contract" mask doesn't work. I am trying to setup an alert based on a certain number of events in a specific time when the source is from any of four networks. When defining the criteria can I use the CIDR (Ex: 123.123.123.0/24) for the source? Or, do I have to create an "anomaly alert" for each network?
custom monitor - memory usage
Hi again, I have created a custom template for a Trapeze Networks wireless switch, but can't get memory usage to work. Basically the device responds to: .1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.1 - memory (bytes) in use .1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.2 - memory (bytes) available in total I have tried to create a Custom Monitor in Bulk mode (where you can manually type the OID) using the following syntax: (.1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.1)/(.1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.2)*100 ((.1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.1)/(.1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.4.8.1.1.2))*100
Cannot uninstall servicedesk completely
On my testing server I cannot uninstall servicedesk completely. I an unable to remove the old adventnet directories. After a few installs and things not working, I have uninstalled, therefore leaving directories on the hard drive which are invalid. Can someone help. Thanks

Mail server settings query
Is it possible to pull emails into SD+ from a sub folder of the Inbox?, I thought I had read it was possible, but may be wrong?? It would be perfect for us, as we are trying to alleviate too many Cr4p emails from being registered(like all our backup confirmations etc), and as we do not presently have notification to users of request creation it is not a big deal to have delays in request creation Is it possible?? I understand a workstation is an asset and counts towards # of assets your allowed to scan. What about other inventory I want to add. I have some RSA security FOB's that I want to enter, but I don't want them to count towards the total # of assets. Do I put them under "non-it assets"?
Application Manager how to fit to my environment
I'm going to test application manager (free edition) to get data about performance counters such as system cpu usage(processor time), application memory usage (process working set, etc.), disk usage, threads, bandwidth usage. Hi, I have two NetGear GS724T switches and I'm trying to monitor them using SNMP. I created the setup and OpManager is connection to the SNMP server on Switches. I will like to monitor stuff line CPU utilization, Memory etc using the fancy graphs like it's done with the others. Can I do it and then share it with the orders by myself? I know a little bit about the programming and networking. I know that I can monitor specific MIB paths using OpManager, but I never heard about the graphs situation.

Monitoring large amt of disk space
We have a 12 Terabyte Drive. I set up an alarm to notify us if the avail drive space is less than 3600G. After doing this, we get an alarm that we are at 100% Disk utilization and that there is -3600G of space left even though there is 95% drive space available.. Please advise

WatchGuard Firebox X Edge 50 Syslog not recognized
I'm in day 2 of my eval and I'm having problem with Firewall Analyzer recognizing syslogs from a WatchGuard Firewall X Edge 50. Other Watchguard models (Firebox XCore 700 and Firebox iii 700) work fine using syslog but Firewall Analyzer doesn't like the Edge. Any one know how I can get the Opman 6 availability reports based on business views out of Opman 7? I have to produce management stats for our servers and it was very easy in 6 but I have made a big mistake in upgrading to 7 only to find the reporting is useless and a major step back. EventLog installed in Windows, I want to get syslog in Linux
Hi All, I have installed EventLog in Windows Machine, it can get the log from Windows-base client. However, I am now wanna get the syslog from a RHEL machine. SQL Queries
The SQL Queries statistics dont work. I cant see the update/select/insert/delete queries in the MySQL Service Dashboard. I just upgraded from 8.0 SP1 to 8.1 Any tip? Joan Lorenzo

Installation issues
Installed this on a VM and hoping to do a bit of testing of various sorts. However, I followed the same procedure as previously followed - only this time it hasnt worked. Its on a 2k3 machine, and whats happening is the following: 1. install SQL2k 2. install sp4 SQL2k 3. install SDP 4. expect it to start up step 4 isnt happening....it gets so far, and then the service wont actually start after the installation - nor is the DB being created in the MSSQL instance. Automation of CSV Import (Requestors)
We have a requirement that a daily job is run to enable an updated list of Requesters (including Company Name, Department, telephone etc.) to be compared and updated. We can't do this is AD as most of our Requesters are external users, but we already run SQL jobs that provide this data as a CSV file. I can manually import this each day, which is somewhat tiresome and without using SQL, can this be performed in ServiceDesk (ver 7008). :?

OP Manager 7 and Flash Player
We recently upgraded to version 7 and noticed that at least one area requires an upgraded Flash Player (on the Home page, the Business view 'add' tool). Our server does not connect to the Internet, and Adobe does not allow downloading of an installation executable file. Asset Scan on every logon
Is it at all possible to setup via group policy or logon script(kixtart) or .bat file a way to do the Asset scan everytime users logon?? And if so, would this need to have a port opened in the firewall to allow scanning?, as the IT department is trying to setup all machines to have firewall enabled? Hope assistance can be given? "Unassigned" and "Unknown" protocols
Is there a way for me in reports section to see the unassigned protocol numbers? i.e. a report. Would it not be better in detailed reports to show unassinged number not "unknown"? e.g. I have a server with 100 www hits and 1000 unknowns. I want to know what the protocol numbers are so 1) I can assigned them 2) discover attacks 3) find weaknesses in policies. Seems a useful feature..yes?
